Philip is thirteen! He is getting super close to the eligible marriage age (15) for the 1300s, that is crazy. I made him shorter for my own sake, but he will slowly be aging up even while a "teen" in sims.
New spousal portrait for the Frost family because I kept forgetting to make it, what's new. They've been spending a lot of time together through winter without actually having much to do and have come to the conclusion that they don't actually have a lot in common (game please) so uhhhh. we love arranged marriages, I guess?
Lowri has become a very sociable girl and even made friends with the daughter of the Orellano's who lives down the street. Their cow, Belle, has been warming up to her as she started to come out and talk to her every morning while her mother would milk Belle.
We have a new family portrait with the kids now that they are older, and honestly, should've waited till now to make it instead smh, but here we are! From left to right: Erilyn (4), Philip (13), Eyra (4), Lowri (7), and Ben (9). Next year is going to be the first crisis to impact my game and I'm so nervous, no food sources for three years,,, yikes.
Content Warning: Pet and (mentioned) Child Death
The kids have been growing pretty fast now, the twins reaching five this year while Ben turned five months old. Izabella has been taking a bigger liking to the animals then Philip, but they both are frequently outside with their father while he is doing the farm work.
Sadly, another death had struck the family, and their dog, Wolfie had passed from old age. The kids were devastated, and Ruben is stuck grieving his two kids and dog now, trying to keep a calmer demeanor for his kids. Lilith seems to be in flat out denial about talking about any of it.
Instead, Lilith has been doubling down on teaching her kids the basic needs and manners to help them mature. ...Somehow Ruben managed to get struck with lightening twice... Let's just say he was pretty delirious, and Lilith had to strangle him into bed that night.
For the majority of the days, Ruben and Lilith have really just been trying to keep the kids busy now. Lilith has been slowly teaching Izabella to cook while Ruben is itching to take Philip fishing. Lilith is not letting him of course.
Quickly, Ben reached 2 and has taken to the mud and rain by full force. (it is so weird to look at a toddler standing and jumping and call it two- my brother was doing this at two but its still weird lol ðŸ˜) He is very curious about everything, and is in his "what's that?" phase much to Lilith's dismay.
The year had started wonderful for Lilith in particular, their first baby chick had hatched! They had been struggling to properly incubate the last three eggs but finally had a baby rooster born overnight. Luckily in time too, because the older roost (Kentucky (I DIDNT CHOOSE THE NAME IT WAS SIMS)) is close to growing old.
When Lilith's water had broken, it couldn't have been a worser timing. At first, Ruben was out hunting, but luckily made it home a couple hours into her labor. The twins were both screaming and crying because of the chaos through the entire thing, not really understanding what was going on other than hearing their mother in pain.
Lilith ended up in labor for fifteen hours, far longer than when she had given birth to the twins. But alas, baby Stuart was born, luckily very healthy despite Lilith being a tad on the sicker side during the pregnancy.
A couple months passed, and the kids were quickly growing older. Lately, Izabella has been taking a liking to sounds and is often singing her little heart out while doing just about anything. Philip is a bit of a sensitive one, seeming to cry at every inconvenience. He especially gets upset when Ruben leaves to hunt or fish without him. Little Stuart is a little harder to pinpoint just yet, but he certainly is a handful with hating when being picked up and even refuses to go to sleep half of the time.
(kudos to llazyneiph's drama rolls) While Ruben was out hunting, he ended up finding a dog and even though he had not intended on bringing him home, the dog had ended up following him regardless, and Ruben couldn't seem to rid of it. Of course, the second the twins saw the dog--that they quickly named it Wolfie--they became overly attached so Ruben finally decided to keep the old dog.

I would have kept them infants longer, but having twins is so indescribably stressful especially when their father is FAILING HIS COLLEGE COURSES CAUSE HE'S ALWAYS WATCHING THE KIDS. sigh. I'd rather him fail college than be a neglectful father though.
Sock is the kitty, I don't take enough photos of him, but Levi and Charity got him when they first started dating. He's a grumpy man. Shae is also in this photo; I might start making posts about her and her own daughter as well. 👀 anyways not much happened between this update and the last, I was busy setting up my rainbow legacy house asldnfldsaknff
Content Warning; Child Death
Minna had twin baby girls. Luckily, the birth went by with little error and both are alive. We've got little Selma and Zelda Wendlen in the family. There is worry with Selma though because of the fact her head is scarily small compared to her body.
Despite just birthing twins, Minna has found time to herself to return back to the easel in the barns and started painting after long months of not being able to. This piece is still undone, but the more she does, it is beginning to look like she is making a self-portrait. (Which I thought was so cute when I saw the hair color)
Rolf hasn't gotten the bathroom when its free, so he took it upon himself to just shower out in the rain and the pond. Just be glad he went into the more secluded part of their lot to do so, but he's definitely clean for once!
Sadly, baby Selma did not make it. Her head was too small and over the night, Minna found her un-waking. She looked just like her mother, and I think that scared Rolf off because he has been avoiding the house a bit now. Luckily, Zelda is still healthy, she is too little to understand where her sister is, but she definitely knows that she isn't around.
On a foraging expedition, Rolf came across a little foal. He doesn't know why the little horse followed him home, they seem to both have a mutual hatred towards each other. (Seriously, why does every animal hate poor Rolf) Rolf was going to send the girl away and force her back to the wild, but then Minna had seen her, and Minna was not going to let Rolf do that.
Minna was able to convince Rolf to house the foal until she could fully live by herself given the poor foal seems to have an injured back leg. Minna made Rolf promise, and Rolf has a problem of not being able to say no to his wife. While he attempts to work on the foal's leg, the girl kicks him away every time, so it is a bit of a task.
At least the girl seems to like Adelbert, Rolf would have said "absolutely not" if the horse even looked like she might kick at his child. The foal seems to understand enough that Adelbert is three years old only and keeps her distance unless he approaches her.
Updates for this will probably be even slower compared to UDC updates considering how differently I am going to be updating! This is more story telling updates, hence the new formatting!

Meet the Royal Family!
The King:
The Queen:
The Prince:
The Princess:
The Lady In Waiting (Queen's Right Hand):
The Grand Master:
I think I figured out why my sims often have more than one babies... I have it set so they can have up to four babies. (and in the first family, I forgot they were supposed to woohoo instead of try for baby) Rolf does less work than Minna, poor girl is going crazy. For some reason, she brought Adelbert outside while she was doing laundry, I think she's been lonely.
Adelbert survived his death roll! He's such a cutie, I love my child. Now that he's a bit older, Rolf has actually been paying attention to him... I mean. At least he's interacting with his kid now. T-T and I love that Minna is able to play with her son, it's so cute.
Episode five thousand of sims glitching into objects! Why is Jacques coming out of my sims stove/chimney, bro's Santa Claus?
Family photoooo. They look so formal and professional, it's crazy.
Adelbert PUT HIMSELF into that chair that was put their just because they own it but dont use it and he's looking at me like I put him in timeout. The family actually all went over to the market table when Minna was tending it, I had to make Rolf go back to work smh. But it was sweet of them.
