"What are you doing here?" Yoongi asked eyeing the pillow and blanket on my hands, as I stood in front of his studio door.
"I can't sleep alone." I said.
Yoongi walked up to me and grabbed the pillow from my hands, "You can't sleep in here."
"Didn't you hear what I said?" I pouted, "Yoongi, I'm not going to sleep alone. Now, either you come to the bed with me or I sleep here on the couch while you work."
Yoongi sighed and nodded, "alright!"
I prepared my bed on his studio couch and lied down. Yoongi, putting on his headphones, went back to his work.
"How heartless!" I thought.
After what seemed like a tormenting hour of tossing and turning, I walked up and stood behind him long enough for him to notice me.
He pulled back his headphones, "What now?"
"Come lie with me till I sleep." I demanded.
"Please go back to the bed. I told you, didn't I? You can't sleep in here." He ignored me again and turned back to his screen.
I grabbed the Shooky plushie from his table and went back to the couch. Yoongi glanced back at me. I held Shooky tightly on my arms and closed my eyes shut forcefully.
"Make some space for me, please." I looked up and saw Yoongi standing beside me.
We were squeezed in the little space of the couch. I rested my head on his chest while he slowly caressed my hair. Hearing his heartbeat was really soothing.
"Don't stress yourself too much." Yoongi whispered in my ears.
I let out a chuckle, "Look, who's giving me advise about relaxing!"
Yoongi smiled and pulled me into a tighter embrace, "Now close your eyes and go to sleep."

“Hmm…” Hoseok said thoughtfully, “So, you want me to help you bring the OHA down. Is that right?”
“Yes!” Yoongi said, wishing desperately that this angel was not as stupid and useless as it appeared to be.
“What’s in here for me?” he asked.
“Huh?” Yoongi was shocked. He had never gave it a thought that the angel might ask for a reward in return. “Well, why would you ask for anything anyway? You are literally bringing down a system that is hunting your kind and many others for 5 years.”
“Oh, I see…” Hoseok turned to Namjoon, “What do you think? Should I abandon my duty to do this guy’s job here?”
“I think, working with this guy will take you closer to your own mission.” Namjoon answered.
Yoongi interrupted, “Actually my name’s Min Yoongi. I would very much appreciate it if you call me by that name.”
“Seriously?” this time, Seokjin sounded annoyed with Yoongi, “Namjoon literally said Hoseok is here on earth for a mission and what you’re worried about is what they are calling you?”
“I accept.” Hoseok said.
“Really?” Yoongi asked hopefully, “You’re going to do this?”
“Yes!”
“Even if there’s too much danger involved?”
“Yes!” Hoseok nodded, looking quite happy for someone joining a suicide mission.
“I think,” Namjoon said, “my work here is done. Good luck to you guys, on your way to bring down the most influential and powerful organization on earth.”
“I don’t think I’m feeling very confident at his words of encouragement. Does anyone else feel like me?” Seokjin looked around.
Hoseok raised his hand while Yoongi said to Namjoon, “No, stay!”
Namjoon raised an eyebrow, “excuse me?”
“Please,” Yoongi pleaded, “Trust me, I have a plan. The more we are in number, the more it is likely to succeed.”
“Yeah, Namjoon-ah.” Hoseok stood up and suddenly started to talk with an authority. “I think friends should stand together at times like this.”
“I didn’t know an angel could be a friend with the devil.” Seokjin mocked.
“Well, it can happen, you see.” Hoseok replied, “Don’t you know, having mutual enemies make people friends? So, we’re all basically friends here.”
“We are?” Seokjin asked in a rather surprised tone.
Hoseok reassured, “We are!”
Jimin and Taehyung took Jungkook to the little hut they called their home. It was out of town, in the middle of the woods. Jungkook noticed that though the hut was not very big, it was very neat and clean, looking like a pleasant place for a family. He remembered how messy his mansion got after all of his servants were being caught by the OHA.
“So, this is a little home I had built for myself.” Jimin announced, looking very proud about it, “I’ve been living here all alone until Taehyung joined me.”
“Yeah,” Taehyung said, a smile never leaving his face, “There’s only two beds. The two of you can take one each. I am happy to squeeze in with any one of you.”
“Thanks.” Jungkook said, “But I don’t sleep.”
“Oh,” Taehyung was taken aback, “I almost forgot that you’re a vampire. Don’t be offended, little friend. I sometimes forget that I’m a werewolf too.”
“Don’t go around calling him ‘little’, Tae.” Jimin said, “He’s been alive for over a century, I believe.”
“Really?” Taehyung asked, “How old are you exactly?”
“Umm…” Jungkook thought for a while, “I don’t know for sure. I can remember being living, umm… being an undead since the 17th century.”
“Don’t you remember your life as a human?” Jimin asked.
Jungkook shook his head. He didn’t remember what his true identity was, who his parents were, how he was as a boy. He didn’t remember what it felt like to be a human with hunger and fatigue. All he remembered was his everlasting thirst for blood.
Jimin kept silent. He felt sorry for Jungkook, who didn’t have any friends or family and who had been surviving all alone for a long time. Jimin knew the feeling of loneliness all too well. That’s why, he had made a promise to himself to keep Taehyung safe. Now, he felt the same responsibility towards Jungkook as well.
“Whatever, it is.” Taehyung broke the silence, “Since, you’re the last one to join the pack, you’re our little one from now on.”
Jungkook tilted his head in affirmation. He didn’t mind being taken care of as a little one.
“Aww…” Taehyung pouted, “Isn’t he so cute?” which made Jimin laugh.
OHA had been keeping a watch at the hut of the new formed trio. It wouldn’t be very clever to attack them right away. The guards and the wizards were waiting for the right time.
Catching a nine tailed fox was not too easy. Because they were swift in their movements and can keep up with a long fight. They can manipulate the weather to go against their enemies. The only thing worse than fighting a Gumiho was fighting a Gumiho along with a vampire and a werewolf.
It was an order from Kim Joon-Hwi, himself. There was no option of losing the Gumiho. It had to be caught. Even if it caused them the lives of the other two species. Because, the Gumiho was the real target.
So, the enemies were patient. They were waiting…
Yoongi had bought all of them to his place to stay. He needed time to explain his plan. But that was not the real reason for this invitation. Yoongi couldn’t bring himself to trust them just yet. They had agreed to join him on a suicide mission so easily, which made Yoongi suspicious. But he didn’t know that each of them had a good reason to have done it.
“Your place is a so small,” Seokjin commented, “that it’s making me claustrophobic.”
“As if you’ve gotten a better place.” Yoongi muttered. It wasn’t easy for beings like them to stay at a nice place among nice people without being noticed. In fact, it was more dangerous than staying out in the street. Because nobody really cared about homeless people.
“You’re right!” Seokjin said, hearing his remark, “Earth has some really shitty places. I miss home.”
“Where is it?” Hoseok asked enthusiastically.
“At the mount Olympus, of course.” He said with pride, “Mother would keep me at the best place possible. After all, I’m her only child.”
“How are you so sure about that?” Yoongi muttered under his breath again.
“What was that?” Seokjin asked, with a frown clearly visible on his forehead.
“I asked, what are you doing here on earth then? Especially at this time?” Yoongi asked, “Doesn’t Aphrodite know how dangerous the earth was for her only son?”
“That’s none of your business.” Seokjin went straight to the only bedroom available. But Yoongi didn’t complain. He was really satisfied to have pissed Seokjin off.
Namjoon looked around the whole apartment, if it could be called one, to make sure there weren’t anyone spying them from outside a window or something. He also looked around at stuffs Yoongi used to practice wizardry. Judging by those and all the old books lying around, Namjoon believed Yoongi had been practicing them since he was very young.
“Don’t worry about me.” Hoseok said to Yoongi, “I’m used to sleeping on the floor since I came to the earth. At least, I’m glad I don’t have to hide my wings here. So that I can be curled up inside them while I sleep.”
Hoseok was smiling. Yoongi’s heart suddenly felt heavy. He thought how innocent the angel was that he could stay positive even at times like this. Hoseok reminded him of someone he used to know. Someone who had called him his friend. Someone who was now dead and for this, Yoongi was to blame.
Taehyung woke up from a sudden loud noise, “Jiminie!” he called out loud.
“It’s okay!” Jimin confirmed, “It’s just a plate.”
Jungkook immediately started to apologize, “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to…”
Jimin cut him out, “You need to stop apologizing for every minor inconvenience.”
Taehyung stood up, rubbing his eyes. “What’s for breakfast?” he asked.
“I’m still trying to figure that out.” Jimin said, “We’re out of meat. We need to go to the supermarket.”
“Maybe the woods would be better.” Taehyung suggested, “We need to find something for Jungkook as well.”
“It’s alright!” Jungkook assured them, “I can go without blood for a week without any hassle.”
All of a sudden, there was a gunshot nearby. This time, they were all alert at once. “Did you hear that?” Taehyung asked.
“Boys,” Jimin commanded, “stay inside. I’ll go check.” Another gunshot.
“I’m coming with you.” Taehyung said while Jungkook nodded.
Before Jimin could say anything, the noises started to grow as if there was a battle going on outside. The trio waited inside, trying to figure out just what was going on.
“I can smell Humans.” Jungkook sat down on a chair, his voice shaking, “They had followed me here. They are going to take me away.”
Jimin went to stand beside him, carefully caressing his head, “Don’t worry, dear. They can’t harm you. Not on my watch!”
Eventually everything was quiet again. Still they didn’t dare to move just then. After what seemed like hours of waiting in fear of something might going wrong, their front door sprang open, causing them to jump in fright. The four strangers stood outside.
“So tell me,” The one wearing a cloak with a hood on stepped inside, “which one of you is the Gumiho?”

Chapter 1 - Chapter 2 - Chapter 3 - Chapter 4 - Chapter 5 - Chapter 6 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 8 - Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 [Complete]
“Give me a good reason to trust you.” Jimin asked defensively.
Yoongi and his new partners had brought the trio in his place. At first, Jimin was reluctant to have come with them. But when he saw what the OHA had in their mind and if it weren’t for them, Jimin would have probably ended up in their laboratory, he finally agreed to go with them.
“Trust requires time.” Yoongi said, “And all I’m asking from you is to give me that time. I swear, everything will make sense at the end. It will all go well according to the plan.”
“Well, your first plan was to summon an angel.” Seokjin said, always ready to contradict Yoongi at any given time, “And look, whom you’ve brought instead.” He gave Namjoon a disgusted look.
“Yeah,” Yoongi said as a matter of fact, “someone who brought the said angel to me at least.”
“Yah, Jimin-ah!” Taehyung called, “Look at this angel, here. His wings are so soft. Oh my God! I want to wrap myself in them.”
Jimin gave a faint smile. Taehyung and Jungkook were busy playing with Hoseok as Jimin was having some serious discussion with the rest. They looked surprisingly happy to have joined the new team. They were trusting the new people so easily. It made Jimin worry a lot.
“Oh my God!” Hoseok imitated Taehyung, “And I want to wrap you in my wings as well. Haha…” They were laughing like kids at this point.
Namjoon shook his head, “Are you sure about the sanity of the members of this team?”
Yoongi sighed, unable to answer. He, himself was losing hope the more time he had been spending with these incompatible group of beings he had collected.
Whatever the reason might be for each of them, they collectively agreed to do whatever it took them to bring the demise of the organization that had been terrorizing their kinds for years. Apart from Seokjin, everyone seemed to have liked Yoongi too, despite of his cold nature. Little by little Yoongi started to explain the complicated, but not wholly impossible, plan to them all.
First, came the question of participations from the members. How and who would perform which tasks were brought into light. Yoongi would definitely serve as the mastermind of the team. Namjoon, Taehyung and Jungkook would be the strength while Hoseok and Jimin would give the team whatever supernatural skills they had to offer.
“What about Seokjin?” Namjoon asked sarcastically.
“What about me?” Seokjin asked, “Ya’ll definitely need a son of Aphrodite on the team. Someone, whose beauty can distract the enemies at dire times.”
“Who needs to be Aphrodite’s child to look beautiful?” said Taehyung, fixing the collar of his shirt.
Hoseok cracked up at this, “No offense, but that was so true.”
“It’s about number.” Yoongi came to his aid, “We need more people in the team.”
“But that doesn’t mean we can allow about anyone.” Jimin said, afraid that they might end up having a spy among them.
“Anyway,” Namjoon said, his voice suddenly serious now, “I think you are not giving us enough information.” The accusation was directed to Yoongi. “Answer this first, if it was about numbers, why were you so keen at finding specifically an angel and a Gumiho?”
All of their attentions were now at Yoongi. “I…” Yoongi stammered, “it’s because…Well, you see. We need some of the superpowers to fight such a horribly powerful Organization as OHA.” Yoongi’s voice rose as he asked the others, “Does any of you have them as good as these guys?” he pointed at Jimin and Hoseok.
Taehyung shook his head, “Even the OHA would agree to the fact that angels and Gumihos are their most desirable preys.”
Even though everyone seemed to be satisfied by the explanation, Namjoon was feeling a hunch. “This guy is definitely keeping some real secrets to himself.” He thought. But he didn’t let his suspicion be known to anyone else.
“You’ve failed again.” Kim Joon-Hwi raged at the guards and the wizards those who were able to have escaped the last fight with the supernatural beings.
“Sir,” one of the guards informed, “They were more in number than we had anticipated.”
Kim Joon-Hwi shook his head. He had been putting up with enough excuses. They were failing him again and again. He was getting impatient now. He wanted to take the matter at his own hands.
“Two years at best.” He screamed at the leader of the wizards, “That’s how much time you had asked from me. And now, 5 years had already passed and you’re progress is getting slower.”
The wizard lowered his head and said, “But we’ve found something more valuable this time, sir.”
“Tell me more about it.” Kim Joon-Hwi relaxed and sat down on his chair.
“There were four more members in their team, sir.” The wizard informed, “Among them was Yoongi.”
“The wizard Min Yoongi?” He asked.
“Yes, sir.” The wizard answered, “There was an angel too.”
“An angel?” Kim Joon-Hwi again rose from his chair in excitement.
“An angel and another being with black wings; which we couldn’t identify yet.”
Kim Joon-Hwi didn’t show any interest at the other creatures. He said, more to himself than anyone, “That means, Yoongi had finally found the angel.”
There was a moment of silent. Hesitantly, the wizard asked his boss, “Sir, what do we do next?”
“We don’t.” Kim Joon-Hwi replied. There was a faint smirk visible on his face, “They come to us.”
After hours of discussion on their upcoming mission, they all settled down to have a dinner on the floor, since there was no table available. Jungkook wasn’t eating anything. Instead he kept looking at Hoseok with his big doe eyes full of wonder.
“What are you looking at?” Hoseok asked while chewing on a buttered bun.
Jungkook hesitated, “I’ve always imagined angels wearing white clothes.”
“And we do.” Hoseok responded, “In heaven we wear nothing but white; which goes pretty well with our white wings. But since I came to earth, I’ve discovered all these colorful stuffs people wear. And I absolutely love them. So, I tried them on since my wings are invisible most of the times here.”
Jungkook nodded his head while Namjoon remarked, “Well, you should have been more careful in choosing what colors go well together. Splashing random colors aimlessly at a canvas doesn’t create art.”
“I think they do. People here call them ‘abstract arts’” Seokjin said, “Anyway, I like Hoseok’s style of clothing more than yours. Your aesthetic goes with Yoongi, I believe.” Both Namjoon and Yoongi ignored his attempt at insulting them.
Taehyung asked Hoseok, “So, what are you doing on earth? Mommy told me that angels live in heaven.”
“She’s right!” Hoseok answered. He’s more than happy to explain about his home, “Most of our lives, we live there in heaven. But every now and then, we are send down to earth for a purpose.”
“What’s that?” Taehyung asked, listening attentively.
“Well, one of my friends, an angel, came here before me.” His voice doesn’t sound very happy anymore, “But we’ve lost all contacts of him. So, I’ve volunteered to look at the matter. Hence, they allowed me to come on earth.”
“Did you find him?” Taehyung asked once again.
“Nope!” Hoseok said, “I’ve been searching for him for months. At this point, I believe, he had been taken away by OHA. But I didn’t dare fight them alone. I know how much power they hold over all the people here. That’s why, I agreed to join this team. So that I can finally go back home with my friend.”
“I think we should decide upon where to sleep at night.” Yoongi interrupted when Taehyung was about say something more.
Yoongi woke up early to make breakfast for them all. He was struggling as it was his first time preparing meals for seven very different species at once. He had managed to steal blood for Jungkook from a nearby clinic last night while everyone slept. It was now time to prepare some nutritious protein meals for the rest.
Seokjin came in the kitchen after sometime, “Why didn’t you wake me up? I told you, I’m a very good cook, didn’t I?”
“Please, just go back.” Yoongi said, “I can’t deal with you now.”
Seokjin understood how stressed Yoongi was. He secretly admired him for his attempt to care for the people he had collected for the mission, but barely knew them all. “He is not as cold as he wanted us to believe.” Seokjin thought.
Then, he joined quietly and started to help Yoongi. At first, Yoongi was sulking at his presence. But by the time, they both got comfortable enough to work together smoothly.
“Where’s Hoseok?” Seokjin asked, “I didn’t see him anywhere this morning.”
“Probably sleeping in the couch.” Yoongi said, stirring the soup he was making for Seokjin and himself.
“Namjoon’s in the couch.” Seokjin said.
“Maybe he’s in the bedroom.” Yoongi suggested.
“I slept in the bedroom last night.” Seokjin informed, his voice alarming at this point, “The newbies had joined me too. But not Hoseok. I thought he was sleeping on the floor next to your desk last night.”
Yoongi stopped stirring, his eyes wide, “Yes, he did. Oh my God! Why didn’t I see him when I woke up? Did he escape?”
“We’re not in a prison. Why would I escape?” Hoseok said as he entered the kitchen. He was holding a grocery bag.
“Did you go out?” Yoongi asked earnestly, “All alone? What if something wrong happened? Don’t you know, they had seen us? They know how we look like. They are out there hunting us.”
“Calm down!” Seokjin hold Yoongi by his shoulders as his voice started to raise in panic.
“I’m so sorry. I just thought there wasn’t enough food for everyone. So, I wanted to help.” Hoseok said.
“Is everything okay?” Jungkook came inside hearing all the fuss.
“Nobody has to help me, okay?” Yoongi suddenly burst out, “This is my house. I’ll do whatever is necessary. I don’t need anyone’s help.”
Jungkook got out of the kitchen immediately. Seokjin said, “Oh shut up! We all know that’s not true.”

We escaped to the nearest wood, hand in hand. I remembered how we used to dance in the dark wood casting all our fears aside. I felt the same kind of fearlessness took over me.
We sat down. I looked him in the eyes and asked, “how are we alive after all this years?”
“Can’t you tell?” he came closer and rested his hand in mine.
It felt like the force of our loves had diminished the inevitability of death and death couldn’t part us. I knew it. I felt sure about it.
“We’re reborn” he began in a whisper, slowly rising the voice by each syllable, “just to be together.”
“And this time,” said I, “no one can stop us.”

I’ve just finished reading the The Maze Runner Trilogy (The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure) by James Dashner. Now I would like to share my opinion about it.
While reading, I felt like I was one of the Gladers. I’ve experienced all the adventures. In the first book, I felt excited as well as fear. In the second one, I felt a new strength took over me. In the end, I felt really exhausted after the journey. My heart was broken and I remembered everything I went through with them.
Reading these books at this time hits different. I kept wondering about the life without a family. How hard it must be to survive in such a devastated world. Anyway, I also feel like it could be possible if you have such loyal friends.
I specifically liked the relationship between Thomas, Newt and Minho. This trio made the last book more emotional. My favourite parts were when Minho literally said “I love you” to Thomas and of course the “Please Tommy, please.”

Pairing: Lee Rang x reader
(y/n= your name)
Why isn’t he answering my calls? He was probably upset about something. And that something definitely had to do with his brother.
I know Lee Rang for only some months. We’ve met at a bookstore where both of us were trying to buy the last copy of “Moby Dick”. We got into a huge fight over that. Finally I managed to get it since he was only hoarding all editions of the same book.
Though he was acting like a spoiled brat, I secretly liked him a lot and I’m pretty sure he found me amusing too. Since then, we occasionally met. In our brief time of acquaintance he had already complained about his brother an awful lot. And judging by his words, that brother is pretty indifferent to him.
When we talked on the phone this morning, Rang told me he was on his way to meet his brother. And now he isn’t receiving my calls. That means the meeting didn’t go well. I needed to meet him. I had already checked the bar he usually goes to and he wasn’t there.
“This little idiot is making me crazy!” I thought. Then a message came to my phone. Lee Rang had finally replied to my anxious texts.
“I’m home now. Too tired to talk.”
Seriously? This was his answer? I can’t believe it.
I angrily walked towards my car and started to head to his home. He was acting distant again. He was probably depressed. Thinking about it made me so sad. I wished he told me what’s going on with him honestly.
I didn’t bother knocking on the door since it’s never locked. When I walked inside, I found him sitting on the couch with a wine bottle on his hand.
“He’s drinking again. This is not good.” I thought.
He looked up and simply went back to enjoying his drinks without saying anything to me. I sat beside him.
“Will you tell me?” I asked.
“There’s nothing to tell.”
“I’m here for you, Rang.” I told him, “You can trust me.”
“Why did you come?” he turned to me and raised one of his eyebrows to look tough.
“I was worried about you.” I answered honestly. He turned away and started to gulp down the wine from the bottle.
“Is this about Yeon?” I finally asked.
He suddenly stopped and slowly turned to me, “Didn’t I mention that I was too tired to talk?”
How could he say something like that? Couldn’t he see how worried I have been? All this time, I was trying to understand him better. I did everything to make him feel like he wasn’t alone. I was always there for him when he needed me. All I’ve ever asked was to be honest with me. Can’t he at least do that?
“I wish you would trust me enough to tell me the truth.” I stood up. It was better to leave him when he is in a mess. Otherwise we’ll both end up hurting each other.
“y/n” he called from behind as I walked towards the door.
I looked back. I could see tears forming in his eyes as he slowly walked towards me.
“I’m sorry.” his voice shook.
I nodded and hugged him. He hold me into a tight embrace and started to sob. We stood like that for a while. When he finally stopped, he looked at me with a little confusion in his eyes.
“I guess,” I whispered, “this is the part where we kiss?”
He smiled, then took my face in both of his hands and finally kissed me...
Fandom: BTS Pairing: Jin x Female reader Genre: Fluff, Fake Dating trope Word Count: 1.5k Words (y/n = your name)
Summary: Your younger cousin is already getting married. You’re now burdened to get yourself a date to the wedding more than ever. So that all your stupid relatives won’t rant about how you’re gonna die single. Jin was the last person you thought you’d go to on such an occasion.
“Why him?” I asked my little cousin who was no longer little anymore. Of course! How could she be? She was getting married in a week.
“Because Taehyung said he’s the only option available for you right now.” My cousin said as a matter of fact.
She was right. I took too much time thinking about whom I’ll bring with me as the wedding date and rejecting many offers for every minor inconvenience I’d found, that now I only had one week left. When I had lost all hope, my cousin, herself offered to help.
Her going to be husband, Taehyung, had an older friend named Jin. I had met him on some occasions. But I didn’t like him very much. He was such a narcissist and had the kind of sense of humor that I absolutely despised. My cousin had said that the reason why I didn’t like him was because I also had the same kind of attitude and I always wanted to be the special one in the group.
“What about the other friend of his?” I asked hopefully.
“Yoongi?” she asked.
I shyly nodded. I liked Yoongi better since he’s kinda quiet and intelligent. He was my type of man.
“Nope!” she shook her head, “Do you really think Taehyung can persuade Yoongi to be your date?”
Her tone pissed me off a bit. “Why not?” I asked with an air of confidence, “Am I not good enough for him? And also, it’s not a real date. He just has to pretend that we are together for a while.”
“I know,” she said, “but I don’t think he’ll agree. C’mon, y/n, just take Jin with you. He’s not that bad.”
“Alright!” I sighed, “I’ll go with him, then.”
“Hey, y/n!” Jin called me from over the table.
I planned to meet him before the wedding. So that we could talk about the whole process of this fake dating business; which I was already hating.
I nodded to let him know that I saw him, otherwise he probably would have kept calling me and make the whole situation double awkward.
“Hello, Jin.” I greeted him while taking my seat.
“Let’s order something first.” He said, “I’m starving.”
As we waited for the food to arrive I started the conversation, “I hope Taehyung had already told you why we’re here, right?”
“Yeah,” Jin said, “he told me you’re not getting any date. And I know it’s really frustrating. Don’t worry, jagi. I’m happy to help.”
“WHAT THE FUCK! I’m not getting any date? And why the hell is he calling me ‘jagi’?” I thought.
“Umm…” I tried to put my words as respectfully as possible, “It’s nothing like that actually. We’re just going to pretend to be dating. Because I want to avoid my problematic relatives who keep asking me why I’m still not married. I don’t date because I don’t want to. Actually, I don’t need to. I could have easily be dating a guy and also can get married. But that is not my intention. I have other plans at hand right now.”
I didn’t notice that my voice had already risen to the point of making other people, from the nearby tables, stare at us. As soon as I realized that I went red on the face.
“Hmm…” Jin said, as if I had just told him something philosophical.
Fortunately our food arrived and I started to focus on them. Jin, too, started to eat and kept commenting on each item. I nodded and said ‘hmm’ or ‘yeah’ to let him know that I agreed. And neither of us mentioned the wedding for the rest of the evening.
Everything was so awkward now that I kept thinking that this whole idea was such a bad decision.
I met Jin directly at the day of the wedding. We had planned to drive there together to get the impression of us being involved.
Jin was waiting for me inside his car. When I got into it, he said, “Whoa, y/n!”
“What?” I asked looking at my dress to see if anything was wrong with it.
Jin shook his head and changed his tone to a sarcastic one. Raising his eyebrows he asked, “Don’t I look dashing in this outfit?”
I rolled my eyes in exasperation. But I was secretly glad. Because I knew he meant to compliment me at first. Since it was not in his nature to admire people other than himself, he changed the topic at once.
“First thing first,” I said, “Don’t do anything to make people suspicious of us. And let me do the talking. Got it?”
“So, I’ll just go around and nod my head while you talk?”
“Almost that,” I said, “Just don’t overdo anything. That’s all.”
“Sounds alright to me.” He said, “But hey! Can I make some light jokes?”
“Jin,” I was already irritated, “Just drive.”
Jin was quiet as soon as we reached our destination. It felt like he had turned into a complete different self. He was not that confident guy I used to know. Rather a shy one who doesn’t like to interact with anyone in a party. I was almost dragging him to meet my family members and relatives.
“What happened?” I asked, “Are you feeling sick or something?”
“No,” he shook his head, “It’s just that I find it very exhausting meeting new people. I’m kinda introvert, you know?”
“I didn’t know that.” I said. Being a super extrovert, I found it hard to understand introvert people.
“Can we just sit on a corner and enjoy each other’s company?” He pleaded.
I couldn’t do that. All of my relatives were liking Jin very much. Apart from the fact that he was handsome and rich, everyone liked his politeness too. They were praising him a lot and saying how lucky I was to have someone like him and that we were a really cute couple and other stuffs like that. I was really enjoying this show now.
“C’mon, Jin.” I whined like a spoiled brat, “You said you’d help me with this. Now get up and let me have this moment.”
“Agreeing to this stupid idea was such a bad decision.” Then he stood up and took my hand in his and said, “Anyway, since we’re already here. Let’s show them what we’ve got.”
Jin was trying very hard to be friendly with my other cousins and friends. After some time of chatting with them, Jin was already making his dad jokes and I was relieved because everyone found it amusing.
At a point, one of my friends jokingly said, “Look!” pointing at the bride and the groom, “They are already getting married despite being younger. When are you guys getting married?”
I almost choked on my drink. “Not again!” I thought to myself.
Jin immediately said, “I’m thinking about the same thing.” Then he turned to me and said, “Will you just marry me already?”
All of my friends gasped and someone asked, “Is that a proposal?” Then they started to say, “y/n, just say yes.”
“What the hell, Jin!” I whispered to him in the middle of the chaos.
Jin raised his hands towards the crowd and said, “She said YES!” And they all started to clap and cheer making me confused as to what I should be doing.
Then, there came an aunty of mine and she said, “y/n, dear. Now it’s time for you to lose some weight. Surely you won’t wear your wedding dress in that body of yours.”
Some of the people started to laugh, while others were rolling their eyes. I didn’t know how to react to that. I was wishing my mother was there. She would have said something to shut her up.
“Why? What’s wrong with her body?” Instead who came to my rescue was Jin. He was looking at me from my head to toe, “I think her body is perfect to wear the wedding dress that I’ve already purchased.”
Then he winked at me and said aloud, “It was supposed to be a surprise. I’m sorry, jagi, that some trash had ruined it.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at his response.
The wedding went well. I never thought I would see my cousin, who had refused to get married her whole life because all the boys she was with were assholes, would be so happy to be married. I mean, why not! Taehyung was such a sweet guy and definitely a husband material.
Now thinking about it, Jin wasn’t too bad either. He also seemed like a husband material to me. Standing by his side, witnessing our closest friends getting married together, made me think about my life choices. Getting married didn’t sound like a bad decision now.
As soon as the wedding was done and we got some time alone, Jin said, “Thank God, it’s finally over.”
I smiled at him. I was getting fonder of him by the time and I could feel that. I said, “Thank you, Jin, for doing this with me.”
“Don’t mention it, jagi.” Jin said, “It was actually fun.”
I nodded my head in affirmation. Then, I asked him, “What now?”
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t you think we should be going for a real date this time?” I asked.
Jin was laughing, making that sound of the windshield wipers. And I started to laugh too. I should be getting used to his wild laugh, after all.
My Masterlist
Aww, my cute little Balf.
Hello! I want you to ship me with a riot club member. I'm 1.6m, I always have short black hair upto my shoulder, my eyes are brown in color and I'm a bit brown too. I wear round spectacles. I love books and movies. I'm a bit shy with strangers but once u get to know me, I'm wild.
I know Leighton is your favourite, but I feel like you and George would be the OJ power couple!
You and George would meet at a bookshop; You were looking through the bookshelves as a bumbling boy came through the doors with his tie askew and his book bag hanging off his shoulder. He caught your eye as you giggled behind a book, watching him trip up over his own feet at the entrance of the shop. He saw you from the corner of his eye, saw your smile that gave him butterflies in his stomach – He had seen you around town and seemed to remember you at the odd university party. George being George fumbled his way around talking to you, walking up to the bookshelves you were standing in front of and tried to spark up a conversation about the book you were holding. Somehow his bad flirting had worked and he was able to score a date with you, so a week later you were meeting up with him outside a coffee shop next to the bookshop that he saw you in. The coffee date went as well as you could have imagined, with George buying you a drink with a slice of cake; You guys talked nonstop, constantly finding new hobbies and interests that you both shared. By the end of the date, you were able to bag a second date with George offering to show him some of your favourite movies round your place.
The dates never seemed to end between the two of you, whether they were simple coffee dates, book dates or cinema dates; however it got to the point where it felt like George was never going to make a move on you. You had been seeing each other for what felt like an eternity, yet he hadn’t told you how he felt or if the thing between the two of you was going anywhere. You were growing impatient, not knowing if this thing was ever going to have a label. If only you saw into Georges mind however, you would realise that he was ready to call you his girlfriend, but whenever he had the opportunity to ask he always chickened out and turned the conversation on its head. He was so ready to call you his, but his nervous stopped him from doing so. He had asked Leighton extensively what he could do to make you his, asking his friend for advice on how to ask you to be his girlfriend. Leighton being Leighton was able to list all the ways George could ask you to be his girlfriend, telling him to just do it before anyone else did.
George had planned it all out, he was going to pull out all the stops and invite you round to his and he was going to have a candle lit dinner laid out that Leighton helped to cook. He had it all ready, but the moment Leighton left it all went tits up. He had given George strict instructions to take the food out of the oven when the timer went off; the timer that George didn’t hear. Just as you knocked on the door George heard the the fire alarm go off in the kitchen. He rushed to let you into his place, before running to the kitchen to get the food out of the oven. You saw the charcoal that had come out of the oven and before thinking George had just come out with it.
‘Oh for gods sake.’ He exclaimed.
‘George its fine, we can just order in pizza or something.’ You tried to reason with him.
‘No its not, I had this whole evening planned out and I’ve screwed it up - The tables all set and Leighton helped me cook everything and I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend half way through and now the whole things gone tits up.’ He finished, looking round to you after realising what he had said.
‘You were going to ask me to be your girlfriend?’ You repeated, looking to him for an answer.
‘Yes?’ He said with uncertainty.
‘Well why don’t you ask me now then?’ You tell him.
‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ George asks you, looking up to you nervously awaiting your answer.
‘Yeah.’ You whisper to him, causing him to break out into a grin.
The rest of the night was spent watching films whilst indulging yourselves in pizza that you order not too long after George had asked you to be his girlfriend. The next day when Leighton checked in on George to ask how it all went, all he could do was smile like an idiot whilst explaining everything that happened. All Leighton could do was laugh at the story, happy that his friend had finally done what he had been meaning to do for ages.
When it came to you meeting his friends, you were nervous. You had heard all the stories from George on what the club got up to, knowing how wild they got. Granted you got just as wild as them on a girls night out (minus the nearly killing someone), but these were near enough strangers. Both you and George had agreed that you would go with him to the pub the next time he went with the club and upon entering the pub your nervous started to wash away. George got both of you a drink before heading over to the clubs table and taking a seat next to Hugo.
By the end of the night you had already organised a shopping trip with Hugo, a day out shooting with Harry, Alister and George and a night out on the town with the whole club. You may be nervous with strangers, but the minute you started to get comfortable with them all, your confidence came out and you started having a ball. That day at the bookshop not only gave you a boyfriend, but also gave you a group of friends that would stick with you through life.
