I watched the (IT) movies before I read the book. I only rated the movies 3 stars out of 5 and I didn’t expect that I would love the book as much as I did. The book is more sentimental.
I usually have hard times explaining something I like. So, I can’t make people (who haven’t already read it) understand that this book is not just merely a horror book. It creates so many emotions while reading. So I took some time to think about why I actually felt so connected to the story and it turns out that I can relate to most of the main characters.
Eddie: Eddie has some mommy issues as we know. Eddie’s mother Sonia; who is also a single mother, is overprotective of her son. She stresses too much about her son getting sick that it ends up Eddie being a hypochondriac for the rest of his life. As much as Eddie wants to run away from the house he can’t quite get over the fact that his mother actually loves him and there is no one in her world without him. He knows she has him under control, but can’t protest in fear of hurting her. I, too, sometimes feel the same way. My mother loves me very much and I know it. But I also know that she is overprotective towards me which actually makes me suffocate sometimes. But yet, it’s hard to deny the fact that it is love which drives her to do so. I, too, feel like I can’t really leave her behind.
Ben: Ben is such a sweetheart. He is also a bit nerdy like me. He is probably the most loneliest among the losers. I had wondered many times whether I will be lonely too in the future. I do have friends. But I just feel like I’m very different than the person they think I am and this friendship we have are just temporary. I think, like Ben, I will also have to live alone.
Richie: The clown of the group is Richie ‘Trashmouth’ Tozier. His friends usually think he lives the happiest life. But a clown just wears a mask. Behind it who knows what lies. The saddest part is when I realized Richie is the only one who can’t show the true self even in front of his friends. This ‘holding on’ of the emotions is more depressing than anything can ever be. My friends think that I’m also living the best of life. I don’t or simply can’t show what is actually going on in my mind. People will usually describe me as the carefree and funny guy.
These are some of the many things I find similar to myself. Maybe I’m too much sentimental for my own good. But one thing is clear, IT depicts the human nature in an amazing way.
I was too stressed and mindlessly scribbled "I can't do this anymore!" in the back of my notebook.
And look, what my little 9 year old sister wrote back!!!
I'm not joking when I say she's one of the reasons why I still keep going on...😭🩷
Rating: 4/5
Summary: Amora, the Enchantress, is the only friend of Loki, prince of Asgard. She helps Loki to nurture the magic inside him. But after a terrible destruction of Asgard’s most priced possession, Amora is banished to earth; where her power will slowly fade away. Years later, Loki is sent to earth to investigate the mysterious deaths of humans in 1830′s.
My Opinion: Loki is a very complicated character. He has always been my favourite character of marvel. When I heard about this novel, I couldn’t wait to read it. And when I did, I wasn’t disappointed at all.
The story is very twisting. It kept me guessing of what will come next throughout the book. It was straight forward and no unnecessary description was added.
The characters were built fantastically. Thor’s character was pretty minor, but it was so much like him. And I loved the bitter-sweet relationship between Thor and Loki. The relation of Loki with his mother and father was also neatly presented.
Loki was presented as the kind of person who always doubts his life choices. The way his mind was always at unrest was very fascinating. At times, I couldn’t agree to the decisions he made and the other times I felt them to be right.
Favourite character: Amora is my favourite character. She was very stunning and charming in her own way. If I have to explain her character in 3 words I would say: Self-absorbed, Confident & Manipulative.
Quotes: “Amora: Not magic. Just Nature.
Loki: Does that make us unnatural?”
Most people got annoyed with me as I freaked out seeing a spider in my class today. The spider was small, I admit, but it was jumping like crazy in a lightning speed. And trust me when I say, it scared me to death.
I'm not joking when I say I'm scared of spiders. Spiders are my worst nightmares.
I was scared of it since I was a child. My mother also used to get annoyed at me. Whenever I complained about a spider in our bathroom, she would force me to go in, instead of removing it. I feared it so much, that I had scary nightmares of it for a long time. I even cried myself to sleep some nights. I would pray to God to remove all kinds of spiders around me.
I got older. But my fear didn't go. Recently I went to stay with one of my aunts from my father's side of the family. There were huge spiders on their walls of the room I was staying in. And guess what? I stayed up most of the night and watched them move along the walls. Since I was very tired, eventually I fell asleep. But the moment I woke up next day, I searched for the location of those little creatures immediately.
An information to you, who get annoyed by any people freaking out at a thing which you may find pretty silly: People don't freak out to get attention.
I swear, I was embarrassed to death when I came to my sense after those brief moments of panic. I could hear my heart beating upto my throat. As an overthinker, I would probably relive those moments the whole day and probably the whole week. It's not like I can make all the choices for my brain.

When you hear about someone you know, doing a bad thing, don't you feel kinda sad or maybe even guilty about it?
Because you think, "What was my part, among all others, in their life which lead them to this path?"
This is for you, my dearest friend @tanikas-world-of-art. I hope you get better soon. Let me know if you want some more of this.
My nerves were wracking as I waited on the carriage. The road seemed longer than I remembered. “Is it the road? Or is it my heart that has been longing for him for such a long time?”
Dorian and I were neighbours and inseparable when we were little. Whenever one of us would go missing, it was assumed that they would be found in the other’s place. Dorian would never eat unless with me. He would trust me with every little secret of his. In a whole, he was too clingy and very dear to me.
Everything was neat until his grandfather sent him away to the boarding school and I was taken to Sussex to my grandmother’s house where I was trained to become a lady. My heart shattered into pieces. I missed Dorian every single day growing up and I was pretty sure he did too.
It had been ten long years. Finally, I was going back to London to meet him and I could not wait any longer.
“Lady y/n, we’ve arrived.” I jumped out of the carriage as soon as the driver announced our arrival.
Dorian was waiting outside his house to welcome me. I could not believe what I saw in front of me. The evening air blew his hair. He had grew up to become the handsomest man I had ever seen. I looked in amazement.
“Well, well, if it isn’t my dearest friend.” Dorian’s beautiful face broke into a wide smile.
My stomach twisted. Butterflies were flying like crazy to make an escape. My heavy heart started to beat up to my throat. Without a minute’s delay, I ran and put my arms around him. We both couldn’t help laughing.
