I am genuinely terrified for season five, I really hope Will likes Mike back.
3.02 / 4.09
seriously, Will's face to that girl never fails to me make me laugh:
he is like: IS THIS GIRL FOR REAL?
Has anyone checked if this is allowed….
(I love st5 byler so much guys … I’m gonna make so much art of them……)
Do you know what I learned in a screenwriting class? Saying what you mean is super boring. ESPECIALLY in the beginning. Don't have characters tell the full truth from the start or it's just events in an order instead of learning things about the characters.
Anyway, season 4 episode 2 of 9:
If you ARE writing a character with internalized homophobia, have THAT be part of what's being discovered. Don't just drop this thing that hasn't been true until now and then leave it there. Even the idea of what plotline this serves should have been executed better. The only way it works is if this had been built up from the beginning and instead of being consider episode 2/9 (early) it was considered season 4/5 (appropriate time for a reveal - yk like Will's queerness), but it was introduced last season at best in one little incident like this one so at best it could be considered episode 7/22 if we start at 3x03. Still way too early. Still end of the the first third at BEST.
So, given the timing and structure, this line and everything in the fight only works as a lie or half-truth to be revealed later.
Just another case, like the ily speech building to "fight" instead of "I love you", of "they aren't not following the rules of writing, they're just doing something else". The climax should be ily but isn't? That's because the climax is actually "fight" bc that's the core of it. The early stages should be lies or half truths like how Will holds back here but Mike says something that seems true? Must be because it is and they just broke a basic writing principle for fun? Wrong again! He IS lying.
People will see "it's like o'clock on the lying show!(Season 4)" And hear something they thought was true and go "what a weird timing to say things that aren't lies. They must have forgotten."
they are adorable friend.
Why, Richie Tozier! Was that a compliment?
in the turning movie, when Kate, Flora, and Miles are playing light tag (correct me if it’s wrong), I think that’s when Kate went a bit extreme and was seeing things, basically going insane. And what is confusing to some new viewers watching the movie is how she ended back into the room where Miles and Kate first meet, which confused me, until I realized that she was actually going insane, even when she tells Flora to tell the truth about her seeing Quint (of course he died)
I think overall, Kate was going insane.
