Dick was the last to be adopted, Jason became the black sheep post-resurrection, Tim made himself Robin, Damian was dropped in Gotham after ten years of being kept secret, Cass possesses killer instincts that run counter to Batman's philosophy, Duke is a meta whose parents are still alive (albeit jokerized), and Steph has zero legal connections to the Waynes. All of the batkids have reason to believe they're the only one Bruce doesn't want around and Bruce is unaware of the problem because they don't vocalize it not just out of the usual emotional constipation, but also a deep-seated fear of being proven right. pov its the end of the clone wars. anakin skywalker is going into a downhill spiral and obi wan needs caf. everything is about to go to shit and there is nothing anyone can do.

fox exists.

It was a normal day- except it wasn't. Fox was in a mood, and this particular mood was called a hangover. Too much partying- and with half of the 501st, at that- and too many drinks. It's one of those mornings- he's alive, and now everyone has to deal with it.

You see, every day, Fox puts a tally on the wall- a tally for every day he goes without shooting a certain someone between the eyes. Today, he stares at the wall, sighs, and puts on his helmet. He's hung over, hungry for the blood of the bitch, and pissed off. Why not go out with a bang? Everyone else seems to do it.

So Fox makes his way up to the Senate, climbs the hundreds of stairs just to make this all the more satisfying when he gets to the top, and he says his prayers and hopes that the bitch is in his office.

And he walks in to see Chancellor Palpatine in a black cloak and hood. What the fuck is this guy doing, cosplaying? Fox must have caught him doing something important- a holonet cosplay contest, perhaps?- as the Chancellor looks up sharply and tries to go for something. In the frenzy, Fox messily raises his blaster and puts the charge right where he wanted it. Then, he drops the gun and stares at the body of the bitch he had to report to for three years and is about to open the comm link to report that he just assassinated the Chancellor.

Then a whole entourage consisting of Mace Windu and co- plus Anakin fucking Skywalker, a few moments later- runs in, and sees Fox standing at the desk, trifling through very weird and oddly evil-ish papers. Palpatine's body is on the floor.

"Fox," Mace asks, almost calmly but letting some relief and confusion into his voice. "How did you know the Chancellor was a sith?"

Fox pauses, and looks up at Mace. He doesn't take his helmet off, but the expression on his face is almost emotionless as he asks, "He was a what?"

From that day forward, Fox was awarded as the savior of the galaxy. The clone that took down the sith that years and generations of jedi could not. The world goes on. Anakin Skywalker does not fall. Obi-Wan Kenobo becomes a godfather. Ahsoka and her 501st buddies reunite. Everyone doesn't realize that they dodged the largest bullet in history.

All because Fox was done with the Chancellor's shit and decided to give him what he deserved.

Erik: You can doubt my morals, question my methods, and hate me for my ways... But don't you dare question my love for Charles Xavier.

Charles: Erik may kill people, may rebel against the government, and fight against us all the time, but he would never lie to me.

Quinlan leaving five min before Fox wakes up. Fox finding his paper pretty much done, crying because he’s still out of it and doesn’t want to wake up?

Quinlan making this a habit when he’s on Coruscant? Stone finding out, not telling? Fox scared if he talks about it, it’ll go away? Unable to believe it’s real?

That girl’s doing a crossword. Badly.

The answer is Lobelia. “She stole Bilbo’s spoons” is Lobelia Sackville-Baggins. 

Where in Middle-Earth did she get Tauriel from? Even if she hadn’t been added solely for the purpose of paying less in royalties to Tolkien’s family, even if she had existed in the book, when in the name of all that is precious and beautiful, would she have stolen Bilbo’s spoons?

"smalltalk" is a doorway. we need doorways. we need not to linger in them forever. small & big-talks and all in between have their place; many rightful complaints regarding the prevalence of smalltalk are really complaints about being trapped in the threshold when we desperately want to let & be let in.

i kid you not, these are my notes from yesterday's bio class

Damian watches Tim get trolled in a roblox obby twice in a row by some random player and then proceed to track down who turns out to be a 13yr old through his IP address and then not only sends a falsified anonymous tip to his school principal that the kid’s dealing drugs, but digs up dirt on his parents until he can send proof to the kids mom that her husband’s having an affair so that Tim can make the kid a child of divorce. Damian watches all of this while sketching calmly from the other end of the couch and silently wonders how the fuck he managed to get away with trying to kill that guy without getting his own life ruined as consequence

as if sensing his thoughts, Tim glances over and casually points out, “look if i got revenge on YOU for attempted murder then i’d have to be fair and also get revenge on Jason, and to be honest I couldn’t be fucked with that. that guy got dunked in the pit and came back 99% spite, you saw what happened with Bruce. i start that war and it becomes my full time job; not happening.”

Jason’s reading on the armchair and he looks up, blinking twice. When Damian’s mystified gaze turns to him, he blankly states, “there’s a guy in my building who once said it was ‘brave of me to wear such a yellow shirt’ and i’ve been breaking into his apartment weekly to replace every article of clothing he owns with neon yellow versions for the past eleven months because of it.” Damian stares while Tim nods casually, not looking up from his ipad. Jason continues, “he knows it’s me, he just can’t prove it. he tries to hide new clothes from me. he never succeeds. his coworkers call him banana man.”

Damian takes this in before announcing to the room; “i no longer wish to be a part of the Wayne family.”

Bruce is walking past the open doorway and calls out tiredly as he goes, “why do you think Dick went to Bludhaven?”

telepathy kink is always talked about but i loveee the way erik's relationship with charles' mutation is dependant on how much he trusts charles + how willing he would be to submit to charles should he ever use it. like in first class charles spends time flicking in and out of erik's head no issue because erik trusts charles and also when charles was in erik's head, he brought out a piece of happiness that erik no longer thought he had. so he's more willing to submit to charles' telepathy. and he puts the helmet on because he's more vulnerable directly after killing the man who was such a direct source of violence in his life and realizing that it wasn't enough—which probably shook erik to his core, because his whole life he's been hunting this one guy just to find that it's not over yet?

and then in days of future past, erik once again goes back to saying 'i don't have my helmet i couldn't disobey you if i wanted' which some people read as a taunt, some people read as him not accepting charles' mutation (which like? i don't think erik has ever not accepted him, but whatever) but i personally read it as erik once more trying to find his footing with charles after a decade apart.

anyway now that i talked about canon stuff i think specifically in the context of a sexual relationship, the telepathy stuff would be a way for erik to give up control over the situation and put his full trust in charles. which is important because a) erik is someone who thrives on being in control and finds it very important because so much of his agency was robbed of him and choosing to submit to a higher power than his own is something that insinuates a great deal of trust in the other party and b) charles is the only one who he could do this with because charles proved that he had the capacity to invade erik's mind and know him wholly and didn't take advantage of that and has shown time and time again he will help erik no matter what.

its also the fact that erik repeatedly implies that charles' telepathy will be used to control him when its a much more surface-level/baseline understanding that telepathy is the reading of minds rather than outright taking control of them. it's even in the definition of telepathy. but knowing charles can take control of him and constantly inviting him to (in an assumed sexual context, in this case) highlights how erik sort of longs to have responsibility for his actions taken away from him. which again can only be done by charles. not just because of his powers but because so many of his actions have directly hurt charles and he's the only one who can both metaphorically and physically relieve him of the culpability behind the consequences of what he's done when in complete control of himself. so again erik is someone who wants to relieve himself of his overly-controlling nature, his responsibilities, be completely vulnerable to someone who's seen him at his worst and loved him anyway.

and the only way erik can be all these things at once is by being under charles' control. (under the control of someone stronger than erik who has proven he will never hurt him with the power charles can exert over him).

so like sexually yes it's fun to say haha erik telepathy kink but also i think it is something much more tender which encapsulates the fact that erik is only this vulnerable with someone he has so much trust in and that person can only ever be charles because its only around charles he can truly be wholly himself. and so submissive erik is real to me #tbh
