Bruce is not hiding.

He’s simply…. giving Damian an opportunity to brush up on his sleuthing skills. It’s a warm gesture of affection— one that happened to involve him slipping silently into the den with a pint of chocolate chip cookie dough clutched to his chest. He’s beyond grateful that the lights are dimmed to the lowest setting and the loud, abrasive program Steph’s watching is turned up almost all the way.

This gives him room to be a bit clumsy in his getaway— er, teaching moment.

There’s a spot beneath a side table that sits beneath the shadows of the television. With his dignity intact, he crawls in and curls himself up as much as he can.

Freedom.

He gets five minutes of peace with the precious container of stolen goods. Three hundred seconds of nothing but sweet, cold goodness on a silver spoon. No complaints or demands. No pouty mouths or sniffling noses. Just freedom.

And then, the show cuts to a commercial break. Stephanie turns to him in slow motion, sees the cargo he’s handling and grins— wide and devilish. It has him holding the perspiration slick pint closer to his chest like a distressed damsel clutching her skirt.

“Why’re you hiding?”

“Not hiding.” He shovels a spoonful into his mouth, wincing as the chill sends a jarring wave of pain through his teeth. “Training exercise.”

She nods, still smiling. “And it wouldn’t help if Spoiler gave Robin the exact details of the thief that stole his last pint of ice cream.”

“We try not to encourage homicides remember.”

“Dami—”

He’s outbof his nook and has a hand over her mouth before she can finish. “You’re evil.”

She leaves a glob of spit in his palm. He sometimes forgets the sheer immaturity teenagers could possess.

“Get me Tim’s pint of chunky monkey and I’ll stay mum.”

“You’ll spoil your dinner.”

She raises both hands, feigning surrender, but there’s a spoon in one and his ice cream in the other. “Damian’ll ruin your face.”

“I never raised you to be so evil.”

“Bruce you didn’t even raise me.”

“Hnn.”

She makes a shooing motion with the spoon. “Go execute our deal, old man. I’ll protect your contraband.”

Okay so I had this idea a while back and it’s just sorta been surculating in my head for a while so here it is Dark!thalia and dark!percy and dark!nico So ya know how they’ve all have at least some hatred towards the gods, well imagine them growing with that hatred and once Percy turns sixteen and the titan war is over Thalia asks to be released from her oath as an eternal maiden to be with her friends more. So then Percy nico and Thalia start bonding cuz only kids of the big three everybodys scared of them. And then cuz of this they’re like siblings and joined at the hip practically. And everything happens faster. Nico get together with will quicker Percy and Annabeth’s relationship is stronger. (Thalia’s heart belongs with someone who’s been dead for a while) Then Percy goes missing. Cuz of nico and Percy’s relationship once Percy shows up at the wolf house nico can feel it(Percy only remembers Thalia nico and Annabeth is this headcannon) Then he Thalia and Percy go on the quest together while hazel and frank defend CJ’s borders. Once they get back nico and Thalia are apart of the quest as well as hazel. Frank is praetor beside Reyna. (piper shows up later They go in their journey but instead of nico being in the jar it’s piper.) Thalia nico and Percy fall into hell instead (they meet a partially formed Kronos). Once hazel leads the seven to the house of hades Thalia nico and Percy arrive and basically slaughter all of the monsters to the extent that the rest of the seven+ piper and Reyna are terrified and while Jason and hazel love their siblings they are TERRIFIED. Eventually the war is over Thalia nico and Percy combined creat storm and fire Storm-Thalia and Percy Hellfire-Nico Later they are summoned up to Olympus and they gods give them two options. Immortality or exile They choose exile because they never want to be pawns again. Eventually the camps find out and the Romans go back to being prejudiced against the Greeks and they go their separate ways. Years later Thalia Nico and Percy find out that Artemis blessed them ( now they don’t age- isn’t that nice😑) Eventually they turn into legends that you hear about and mother tell their children Don’t be naughty or they will get you! They scorn the gods and begin their own camp full of other who have been hated and spit upon( for Greeks romans Egyptians and Norse) They live in peace for years until the gods are attacked That’s it I’ll let other take it from there!!

I keep reading Obi-Wan time-travel fics (post-66 to pre-Naboo) and just… wanting Rex and Ahsoka to show up like ‘yes we followed Maul through the anomaly on Tatooine and we know for sure nobody else went through but also… we lost Maul’ and then the two acting INCREDIBLY suspicious but in ways that entirely validate “Ben” being The Weird Fucker He Is

And also they keep referencing future!Anakin as Ahsoka’s “brother” and state that “Fulcrum” was Ben’s second padawan because the timing doesn’t really work out unless you know about the war. Her training was basically split by them anyway, it’s not that big of a stretch.

There’s a handful of fics where people are like “So are you like… married or adoptive siblings or…” and they’re just like “family, where they go, I go” and then never elaborate I just really like the “two halves of a whole idiot black ops specialist” vibe they have

Also I keep imagining that, since Ahsoka doesn’t want to steal her future/baby self’s name depending on the AU, she takes on Fulcrum as an actual name, and then she and Rex use either Torrent or Jaig as a surname, though I’ve been told that she went by “Ashla” a few times and I do in fact vibe with that.

Also I like fics (or at least I imagine fics) where they refuse to refer to each other as anything other than Captain and Commander until they can trust people. Not even fake names, just ranks, in part because Intimidation.

Also I just really like the idea of teen Obi-Wan and all his Padawan friends having just. Hero Crush on Ahsoka, because she’s only a few years older, sure, but she’s a total badass and probably a shadow and she’s showing off in the salles! And then Ben is like “Uhhhhh she doesn’t consider herself a Jedi, even though a Jedi taught her, she’s technically a Rogue Force User but don’t worry, she’s a good one”

People: Would you ever consider rejoining the order? Ahsoka: I’ve got work to do in the Outer Rim and I can’t be held back by bureaucracy, so it’s just gonna be me and the Captain until I decide otherwise.

And then she swings back around and rejoins just in time to snatch up bb Anakin for a Padawan

Jedi: Why does Ben drive his padawan so hard? Ahsoka: [shows up and jokes about the number of times their war experiences had resulted in horrifying injuries] Jedi: …oh.

It’s not paranoia if you’ve already experienced it dozens of times!

Ahsoka dodging around mentioning Maul by name by saying “Your first Sith Lord” Ben and Rex: Ah, that fucker. The Disowned Dark Apprentice. All the Jedi around them: ??!?!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!? How many claims-to-be-Sith did you fight????!?!?!?!?!?!??!
