An illustration of Shimazaki Ryo and various other characters from Mob Psycho 100, drawn and rendered in MS Paint. The piece is in landscape, composed with only red, black and off-white colors. In the center is a drawing of Shimazaki walking ghoulishly after a fall, enclosed in a red sphere that distorts his image in a fisheye perspective. He is bloodied and bruised, with rubbles falling around him as if time had stopped. His eyes are open, black sclera and red pupils, and he gives an eerie expression as if he just found you after hiding from him.

Outside the red sphere is a black background, with red nerves connecting to the sphere from different directions, making it look as if the sphere is actually a mutilated eyeball. Between the gaps of the nerves are minimalist drawings of characters Shimazaki had fought during his arc, with each of them having a placed target on a certain part of their bodies, implying it to be their weak points that Shimazaki has detected through them.

The following description are said characters accompanied with the respective targets on their bodies: Tsuchiya on her side temple, Takeuchi on the back of his head, Ritsu on his stomach, Teru near the nape of his neck, Koyama under his chin, lastly Terada, on his forehead.

A 4-panel black and white comic and illustration of Shimazaki Ryo from Mob Psycho 100 and the OP's pet dog, Casper, portrayed as Shimazaki's guide dog. Drawn and rendered once again in MS Paint.

In the illustration, Shimazaki is seen wearing his white suit, sat on the grassy ground as if he had just stumbled, one hand assisting himself on his cane and one hand ruffling Casper's fur, as Casper pounces on him and licks his face. Shimazaki is seen bashful and happy.

In the 4-panel comic, Mob is sat next to Shimazaki on a park bench with curiosity while Shimazaki is nervous what the kid will do to him, as he is previously traumatized with Mob. Mob looks at Shimazaki's dog and innocently asks for its name, to Shimazaki's surprise. Shimazaki scratches Casper's head and chin and introduces Casper to Mob. Mob looks at Casper with fondness as Casper let's out a small woof.

Above the illustration are the words, "Shimazaki and Casper", written cartoonishly in Japanese.

In my second, rather self-indulgent piece features my dog Casper!!<3 I hope you all love him because he loves you too

An image of the OP's pet dog, Casper. He's a mix of German Shepherd and Retriever, giving him a brown coat, faded black snout, with a small white tip of fur on his nose. He has droopy ears, more faded black fur along his back up until his tail, white underside fur and white socks of fur by his feet.

The first image is a generic picture of him, standing in a 3/4th angle.

Another photo of the OP's pet dog, Casper. He sits next to a pair of legs that belongs to an old lady, smiling with closed eyes and with his tongue out. The old lady seems to be petting him and he is having fun.

Another image of Casper in a rather low resolution, being pet by the same old lady. This time Casper sits in front of her, while he looks to the camera. The old lady pets his head as if his ears and head go flat under her hand, giving Casper a rather silly look. He stays smiling with his tongue out.

Shou and his resistance team are based on the moon rabbit folktale (that's why he gets a haircut)

References are in his lackeys names / outfits + other

The story in short is about a rabbit who wanted to save a starving man, so he jumped into fire to become food for him. and then was rewarded for his kindness/self-sacrifice by being taken to live on the moon and he makes rice cakes there.

(other versions have different animals, an actual starving man or emperor or god; or the rabbit's gift is his image being carved on the moon (implied that he died in fire), or the rabbit making medicine on the moon)

Shou And His Resistance Team Are Based On The Moon Rabbit Folktale (that's Why He Gets A Haircut)

Ootsuki 大月; 月tsuki means moon, hence the crescents on his outfit

Fukuda 福田:

- is interestingly the name of a company that makes medical technology stuff/ healthcare products

- 田da means rice field , hence the plant on the H and maybe the white knots is a visual cue for rice

While in the Japanese version the rabbit makes rice cakes , in the Chinese version the rabbit is making medicine instead, so that's also related to his healing powers.

Higashio 東尾:

- hi 火 means fire

- 餓死 gashi means starvation. (the only one I had to skip the official way its written but if I were to guess I dont think starvation would be directly part of a name so yea)

Shou:

-Chinese zodiac sign: rabbit

- hair looks like fire

So, Shou is surrounded by moon rabbit references, and his arc is mainly about running away vs responsibility which parallels a story about self sacrifice (as kindness/virtuous mind you). That's reflected in wd arc and confession arc, as in both arcs Shou was prepared to die to stop Touichirou.

Because in confession arc even though Touichirou’s plan was to sacrifice himself…..he explained how to do it to Shou. the one with the self sacrifice metaphor…()

Anyway, Shou getting a haircut in the epilogue symbolizes realizing that he shouldn't sacrifice himself for others sake, like letting go of the fire that the rabbit would've jumped into.
