No, I'm not human and I never have been. I've always been a werewolf. Yes I may appear human but I'm not. It's just my human form, I'm a wolf under all of this flesh and bone.
Im a werewolf in every single way
Wolf shifter here πΎ.
Do you have any tips to getting motivation to start shifting again??
hi!
I think something that might help with motivation is going back to the beginning of your journey and why you want to shift in the first place. what are your goals and dreams and what do you want to achieve by shapeshifting? I feel like surrounding yourself with feelings of empowerment and inspiration could help jumpstart motivation and help you get back on track.
also, triggering m-shifts or surrounding yourself with themes or feelings relating to your instincts/species etc could help too. for me, having m-shifts or phantom shifts inspires me to want to p-shift.
if you have stuff like masks, tails, ears, or other things that can make you more wolf-like, it might help to dress in the colors of your wolf side or put things on that makes you look like a wolf. for me when I put on ears or tails I always wish they were physical and when I wear brown clothes (bc my fur is brown) I tend to wish it was my fur, so putting things together to make yourself look like your wolf self might help with motivation to shapeshift so that you CAN have your ears/tail/paws/fangs/fur again.
if anyone else has any other tips, feel free to add on!
TW: mentions of cults/toxic behavior
the biggest thing that I see when folks bring up physical shifters/nonhumans/mythicals are cults or toxic people/behavior. yes, there will be the few that are shitty individuals or people that hurt/traumatize others. but I think that people fail to see that in or outside of this community, those shitty people exist anyways. in fandoms, clubs, groups, out on the street, etc. the demonization of individuals who are physically nonhuman is extremely harmful and unnecessary. the real problem is the individuals who actively hurt others, not the community as a whole. you take multiple bad experiences and cast it over the entire community, how is that acceptable or fair? why do you fail to see the bigger picture, the entirety of us? isn't it easier to be open minded, to realize that there will be horrible people all over in the world and not just within pshifter spaces? and yet you decide to focus and target us.
you don't have to like us, you don't have to understand us, but we were standing beside what we now know as modern therians and otherkin years ago (those who don't believe in being physically nonhuman). we were a part of therian and otherkin groups regularly. we were a part of your spaces, and I'll never let you forget it. you don't have to like us, but that doesn't give you the right to demonize or erase us.
this is why learning about history is important, this is why being able to archive things is important, this is a part of why I've made it my own personal job to make a timeline and collect information geared towards physical nonhumanity; so that we may never be erased. your hatred will never erase us, and you'll never silence our voices as long as we live.
Hello, I am a Devotee of Inanna, a worshipper of the Mesopotamian Pantheon, and am working with Lady Ereshkigal.
The point of this post is not to tell anyone what they can or cannot do, it is to give newcomers a general idea of the differences between these titles.
I am not going to talk about Godspousal as I know the barest of minimums about this relationship, it is 100% valid, and I respect this relationship, but I am not going to discuss something I know nothing about, that's how misinformation spreads. If you are Godspoused feel free to share your definition in the reblogs/replies and I will add them with credit!
You are devoted to this deity. You perform acts of devotion to them daily (or near daily). Think of this similar (not exact) to having a life partner/significant other(s). You can have more than one, and you can be a Devotee and still worship/work with others. As a devotee of Inanna, I talk to her daily, give offerings, and do devotional acts as often as I can.
You honor this deity/group of deities frequently. Not necessarily every day, but frequently. This is more of a friend relationship, you see each other often, but talk frequently, but they're not your spouse. As a worshipper of the Mesopotamian pantheon (and the Forgotten) I leave offerings on a regular basis and say prayers to them about once a week.
This deity is helping you in your practice. They are providing you guidance in an area of your life. This is your teacher/mentor relationship. As someone working with Lady Ereshkigal, she is aiding me on my journey to reconnect with my ancestors and helping me with the transitional periods I'm currently going through. I give her offerings often to thank her for her help, and I talk to her daily, but not nearly as much as I talk to Inanna.
Thank you. Again, this is my definition and understanding of these relationships. By no means is this to say that if your relationship is defined differently that it is invalid, but when I was first seeing these terms I was very confused.
I hope this helps anyone out there who was also confused.
hot take: just because someone might appear bodily human doesn't mean that they always will be human
a reminder that the trees you grew up with have not forgotten you and the way your feet padded along the ground.
the breeze that sweeps through the foliage once swept through your hair and between your fingers.
the moon has not forgotten you, in fact she still watches over you during the night.

Y'all know it's okay to just try stuff in witchcraft, right?
Across the internet, I see a lot of people who seem to be asking for permission to do what they want. While I see some validity in getting wisdom from others, I worry that the people asking these questions might miss out on the experience they could get from going ahead and making a good faith attempt.
"Can I do this spell even if I don't have rosemary?" I don't know. Try it!
"Can I use fruit juice as an offering to my goddess?" I don't know. Ask her!
"Can I include a pocket watch in my magic?" I don't know. See if it works!
Of course, it's not a good idea to jump in and try something that could be harmful, but if you're not hurting yourself or others and you're not appropriating from a closed practice, just give it a go! You're allowed. You're a witch with magic and power and discernment of your own. You don't have to get permission from a bunch of internet strangers. Have fun trying new things!
