Hello again! I was the one who previously asked if it’s possible to be both a vampire and a were. I know some legitimate vampires actually believe in turning humans. I share this belief but I do not think it’s possible to become a were through biting or other methods.
With this said, how does one awaken into their vampirism? I believe I may have had an awakening at one point but I’m unsure.
Thank you!!
hi again!
because I'm not a vampire, I'm not sure I can offer much advice or help on awakening. what I can say though is I've noticed that folks with vampiric tendencies have expressed cravings (for blood or energy) or maybe they have dreams regarding this side of them (especially those who suppress being a vampire), but i want to clarify that just because you have dreams about something, it doesn't necessarily mean it will happen or you are that thing and this goes for everything in life, but dreams can tell us a lot if you remember them! i don't think it's a bad thing to pay attention to your dreams but take them with a grain of salt.
the overall advice i give to people is to meditate (if you can), self reflect, pay attention to your instincts/cravings, etc. really look inwards into yourself, because no one else can tell you what you are or what you aren't except for yourself ^_^
For new witches:
You don’t have to accept everything you’re told, your journey is yours to create. Don’t feel pressured to label yourself or fit into someone else’s idea of what a witch should be. Trust your instincts, explore what resonates with you and remember that your craft is deeply personal and will evolve over time.

Hi im a baby witch, if you could give witches like me one piece of advice, what would it be?
It's only over when you stop hoping. Hope is one of the strongest, oldest types of magic in human history. It powers you. Hope is the energy source, the other emotions are your guiding light. It was hope that kept me going for twenty years. It was hope for a better future that kept humans pushing forward through wars, plague, and famine. If you lose hope, what's the point, right?
Heavy /not being rude/ for the title.
It may be a hard pill to swallow, but some labels are meant to include certain demographics you want to stay away from, or dislike, and that is okay. Some labels are going to cater to a widespread of demographics that you may not even like, or care to interact with that side of it. Another reminder that many labels are umbrella terms for specific, different, experiences, even if it's not explicitly stated. No two beings will be identical in every way. The beauty in this community, is that things can change. Things are fluid. Identity is fluid. Biology and physicality is fluid. It isn't always static.
"Physical nonhuman" means many, many things for many different nonhumans. Some physical nonhumans are only physically nonhuman, but mentally human. Some physical nonhumans aren't fully nonhuman. Some physical nonhumans are fully nonhuman in absolutely every way. Some physical nonhumans weren't always nonhuman. Some physical nonhumans have traits that others consider nonhuman. Some physical nonhumans are physically nonhuman to cope. Some physical nonhumans experience delusions that allow for them to be physically nonhuman. Some physical nonhumans are physically nonhuman due to transitioning. Some physical nonhumans are born physically nonhuman. Some physical nonhumans can shift between human and nonhuman. Some physical nonhumans are nonhuman in a non-literal sense, and reclaim their body as physically nonhuman.
Physical nonhuman does NOT just mean the last sentence. It isn't always metaphorical for some folks. For some creatures, it's absolutely literal, and is to be treated as such. If you experience physical nonhuman in a non-literal sense, I think that's actually really cool, and I recognize you as physically nonhuman, regardless! However, it is not an excuse to push out those who literally are physically nonhuman. Sanism doesn't fix anything. It doesn't make you look any better.
"Yeah, I identify as physically nonhuman, but I don't literally think I am. That's when it's clinical zoanthropy."
"I'm a holothere, and all holotheres know they are biologically human."
"I'm physically nonhuman, but I think we shouldn't enable delusions by calling clinical zoanthropes and other delusional folks in the community nonhuman. They aren't actually nonhuman if they have a delusion."
"P-shifters don't count under the label physical nonhumans because p-shifting isn't real."
"Most physical nonhumans actually know they're human. They just physically identify as nonhuman non-literally."
"Physical nonhumans don't experience delusions regarding their physicality."
^ Examples of what it can look like to throw out a good portion physical nonhumans from their own community. Communities made for them. Forcefully assigning labels onto folks who are only presenting as themselves is very weird, in my opinion. Don't come into communities expecting them to cater specifically to you, and then pushing away existing community members for the sake of "reclaiming" a label to look more "sane".
Making blanket statements like these do more harm than good. There's a reason why physical nonhumans, especially on this site, are getting angrier and louder about the tireless disrespect, even indirect disrespect. It's disrespectful to come into a community, choose to learn absolutely nothing about said community, and then proceed to push out anyone you think doesn't fit your narrative of what physical nonhumanity should look like. It's disgusting.
Holothere, especially on Reddit, began losing its meaning because self-proclaimed holotheres would use the label, and then go on to claim that biological nonhumans aren't actually included. Girl, are you the coiner of the term? Did the coiner tell you that? Did you even read the Carrd? The Carrd that's literally on the front page, and one of the top search results on Google when you simply type in "holothere"? Did you? Did you look into the community and read and take time to digest our experiences, and accept that every holothere is different? Words cannot describe how *frustrating* it was to see a Reddit post that discussed the term, only for other holotheres to kick ME, a holothere, out of my own community. The term was literally made for me in mind, too? Like wtaf.
Again, there is NOTHING WRONG with being figuratively physically nonhuman. I can see why someone would do this for various reasons, and I think you guys count. This isn't directly JUST concerning these nonhumans who identify that way, but this is definitely directed towards nonhumans who decide to push each other out for the sake of sanism, and as a result of ableism. Let's face it, denying a delusional individual's right to autonomy of the usage of a label, or usage of something that makes them comfortable in their delusions is ableism. Pushing out delusional folks because they are experiencing something you consider not real is ableism.
Absolutely nobody is forcing you to interact with delusional nonhumans. If you decide not to, that's cool, but don't erase them because you don't like what they have to say. Don't erase physical shifters and automatically discredit them just because you don't believe in physical shifting. Don't armchair diagnose and mislabel literal physical nonhumans just because you don't think it's possible outside of a metaphorical/figurative experience. That's where the issue lies. It isn't about how you experience your identity, but folks with this type of physical identity do tend to be very exclusive and close-minded when it comes to physical nonhumanity. It very well seems to be in a way to make themselves look better. It's easier for most non-physical nonhumans to digest in most spaces.
Please, for the love of everything, DO NOT try to push someone out of a community that is literally meant with them in mind, simply because they seem "weird", "too intense", "delusional", or "scary". We wouldn't be so scary if you would listen, and kill the idea that we need to latch onto the idea of "being normal" in order for us to be taken seriously.
by the way, if anyone has information regarding the pshifting community and its history or events, don't be afraid to send me an ask or a DM! I want to be able to refine and keep nonhumanity: a history as accurate as possible. I feel like there's still a lot that could be added, so if anyone has anything, let me know. I'll credit you as a source!
Hi! Werewolf/wolf shifter here.
Is it possible to be both a were and a vampire?
hello!
yes, it's completely possible, as I've heard that vampirism (sanguinarian, aka those who drink blood, and the energetic type that takes energy spiritually from people or things) is more of an addition to an individual rather than a species of its own and can occur in any nonhuman species as well as humans!
The hard truth about occultism and witchcraft is that you genuinely do have to be willing to lose your mind. That’s not me romantisizing mental struggle or psychosis.
The thing no one talks about, at least not honestly, is the threshold one passes in initiation, where the mystical, psychological, symbolic and literal merge. When I say you have to be willing to lose your mind, I mean you have to be willing to accept the possibility that you may in fact be crazy. Your worst possible fear, none of this is real and it’s all happening in your head. What will you do if you realize you’re simply crazy? The wise man will turn away, but the initiate, the alchemist, will be unphased.
All people who dabble with spirituality and occultism will eventually meet this threshold. When things actually start working, when your spells yield results, when the impossible occurs and you truly have no other explanation. When the Gods finally respond. Be willing to lose your mind, be willing to experience things you cannot explain. And be willing to talk to yourself with the honesty that you simply cannot know. That’s what makes your faith and pursuits worthy.
The most talented and most powerful witches and magis are those who do not flinch when the impossible occurs. They no longer question themselves about the absurdity, they no longer wonder if any of this is real because they know it doesn’t matter. And that’s why they’re so powerful, they have complete faith that their work is very real. And when someone challenges that, they don’t crumble, they rise. Because the challenge in that idea is worthy of pursuit itself. Maybe we are crazy, maybe this is just in our mind. The significance however, that is real and that stays, regardless.
Yap yap yap
We talk a lot in this community about the concept of “awakening” to your psychic abilities. Sensing energy, having divine intuition, telling fortunes and affecting the world through intention. But we hardly ever expose that before those gifts explode, there is always a period of what feels like insanity. The mind interrogating itself. Sensitivity to the mystical. It feels like being given access to the background code of your simulated reality, and realizing that the same code is written into your flesh, mind and soul.
Tldr. Witchcraft is very aesthetically pleasing, very pretty. We often don’t show the very ugly side of it, the white knuckles, the tears and chaos. Inviting these forces into your life is not trivial, not at all. They will force you to change and they will force you to lose your mind, even if only to teach you how to find it.
Every few months a friend of mine who is also a witch will come to me and express that she thinks she’s losing her mind again. And I smile because I know that she must be growing so much, getting so much more powerful. And a couple days ago, when I went to her and expressed that I was losing my mind again, she laughed too.
“Welcome to the next phase of your journey with Lord Lucifer!”
and her saying that immediately made everything click. I’m still being tested and cultivated. This bought of insanity is surely far from the last i will experience. Getting this far and surviving means I am not only advancing, I am continuing to grow into the role I was meant to serve for him.
Anyways, if you get to that point in your practice where you feel like you’re at your breaking point, I won’t fault you for stepping back. That’s the logical decision.
But I can also assure you, you are not alone. The mystic floats in the same waters the psychotic drowns. It may feel like you’re drowning and struggling, you may in fact just be learning how to tread water. and if you think you’re beyond this phenomenon, if this has never happened to you.
Oh, just you wait.
guys i was looking at old alterhuman websites and found one from 2002 talking about physical shifting and i think i understand now
is this what yall p shifters feel is acurrate to u
Say. This. Louder. 👏👏👏
Very much wolverine today.
Li'l vent, though. Disclaimer: This is not directed towards a specific individual, blog, Discord, chatroom, or whatever, but rather to whomever it applies to.
I'm thinking about the physical nonhuman discourse. I hate how my identity is a discourse topic. I realize that a lot of non-physical nonhumans will speak about us as though we don't even exist or never directly to us.
Don't get me wrong, I really do love the supportive posts, but I feel like an afterthought that's only brought up when there's discourse or when it's convenient for someone else to use physical and nonhumans as a "gotcha".
Like, especially outside of Tumblr, our "defenders" still don't understand us. A lot of the time, there's this assumption we are all "I identify as x mentally or spiritually, so therefore I am x physically." That is not how I experience my physicality or biology because I was BORN this way. My genetic code is of my holotypes. I literally have nonhuman body parts. It's again watered down so they can digest my identity and my simple state of being. Exhausting.
If you really stood by us, you'd understand that we are all diverse. We are as diverse as any other non-physical nonhuman. If you want to support us, talk about us outside of the discourse and outside of conversations where you have to butt-in that we exist and leave it at that. We are beings, too. We exist, yes, but we are more than just. "Yeah, they exist too." We are more than discourse topics.
Because no,
P-shifters aren't the manipulative, cult-like, evil beings like some of yall make them out to be. If anything, I've only ever seen p-shifters on this site in recent times be persecuted against on this site.
Holotheres don't think they are better than you simply because they are nonhuman in every way.
Clinical zoanthropes shouldn't have to fucking double bookkeep every two seconds to make you happy. You're basically saying they should be uncomfortable in order for you to be comfortable for something they can't control. You're ableist. Full. Stop. Generally delusional nonhumans don't owe you the ability to double bookkeep either.
We are more than just a hypothetical. We are more than a topic. We are more than an afterthought. We are nonhuman. We deserve nonhuman spaces just as much as any other. I hope anyone and everyone who drives us out is proud of themselves. You want more than to drive us away. You want us gone entirely. You want us "cured".
This rant is primarily directed towards bigoted and sanist nonhumans, and especially non-physical nonhumans.
From a nonhuman with a lot of "weird" and "scary" labels. Stop excluding us. Stop backing us into a corner until we give up. Stop trying to push insecurities onto us. We are literally just living our lives. Our spaces aren't catered towards sanism and humans. It just isn't.
I hope this came out worded properly. This is NOT HATE against a specific group, but more of... resentment. I feel resentment towards non-physicals in the nonhuman community who feel the need to push us away because some of us have delusions, have more uncommon/"weird" identities, or have abilities they don't understand. I don't even interact with most therians because I feel unsafe around them. They've likely been taught to dislike p-shifters such as myself. They associate me automatically with cults, manipulation, and other messed up shit. I just have the ability to physically shift, bruh. I haven't thought about starting a cult or teaching vulnerable people how to shift just because of that. :/
