Was thinking about c!Dream and the cat parallels/similarities and remembered two specific cat myths: always land on their feet and 9 lives

The 'always land on their feet' thing works for him both metaphorically and literally. Literally as in he's the best parkourist on the server, he's learned how to fall and has had to run straight from falling, he's a master at staying and landing on his feet. Metaphorically as in at the end of the day, no matter what lengths he's pushed down to or what gets done to him, he is always gonna be back on his feet(even if his feet are shaking).

The '9 lives' is interesting cuz like, it dream himself has 3 lives at the start like everyone else. Yeah loses 2 of them, but in theory, he's never gonna actually die if he doesn't lose his 9nth life - c!Punz

I know that they're both like, myths, and not actually true, but I feel like that myth part of them actually works really well for Dream

"always land on their feet," good at parkour, fast & agile

9 lives, connection to immortality. in many witchy circles, cats are connected to immortality because they lay in a circle. ouroboros-like.

imagine the snake speech being given Not By A Snake, but from a cat who took a swipe at a snake and learned a valuable lesson about how people work. the snake speech happening in the back while the camera follows a cat hunting. you get it.

egyptians thought that part of a cat's divinity came from their duality. they're both gentle and aggressive, which we see in cdream often!

expressing love through comfortability and trust rather than louder displays of affection

thought to be solitary, but actually more social than most people think

most comfortable in Their Territory, even if their territory sucks

i love your cicre c!dream design! i recently listened to epic for the first time and watched the amimatics and i kinda saw ody as c!dream after pandora but loved your work aswell! i didnt think anyone in the smp would like epic lol

They escape was hard and unforgiving. Moving around with several infections and open wounds wasn't the easiest thing after all. Dream's broken bones weren't helping with that.

But when his feet touched the ice cold water around the prison in the middle of the night, something changed.

He got out.

He escaped Pandora's Vault.

Alone.

At first he was proud, escaping the most securest prison ever built was a task which was set up for failure, but he did it. He was Dream, the Dream after all.

He did it!

He did it...

Alone...

He had waited for Technoblade. It seemed like he had waited years for his... associate. He didn't want to call him friend. It would hurt too much.

Dream dragged himself through the water, body shaking from the cold, the unusual temperature.

He had promised. Technoblade had promised that they were not out of option... recalling the event Dream had to laugh.

Technoblade was right, because he hadn't been out of option. But Dream had been...

With long hanging head he pulled himself out of the water, collapsing on the sandy floor. His arms were trembly but he didn't know whether from exhaustion or from the cold.

Angrily he hit the ground with his fist, ignoring the blood which was already covering his hand.

Why did Technoblade leave him behind? Did he forget about him? Didn't he care?

Dream wiped away the tears forming in his eyes. He had been right all along. Trusting people will only get yourself hurt.

The only one he should care about was himself.

WIth a big sigh, he stood up, legs nearly giving out under him again. There was no time to cry, he had to get away from the prison, trying to find a place where he was safe from everyone else.

He had thought that would be with Technoblade when he suddenly disappeared. But he was wrong, like so many times in his life.

Maybe his secret bases are still standing.

What Dream didn't see were the commotion at the entrance of the prison. Technoblade screaming at Sam, who was yelling back with the same energy. Something about an escape, something about Dream.

Dream didn't see the concerned look in Technoblade's eyes when he hurried away from the prison, eyes ripped open, looking around wildy, begging to find a bit of orange in the black night.

He didn't hear the worried yells for his name.

He didn't hear the begging of his associate, his friend, to come out of hiding that he was safe now.

He didn't see Phil putting his hand on Technoblade's shoulder, shaking his head.

He didn't see the two walking away, back to their home without him.

For he was curled up in a heap of blankets in a dark bunker of his, beggin to feel the comfort of the Piglin's cloak one last time.

Fun fact: Rabbit and pig has different fur changing seasons and usually pig blows their fur so it came off much faster (?). Idk, just thought that is interesing.
