honestly missionaries are evil. the idea of traveling the world to tell people Who Didnt Fucking Ask that their beliefs are wrong in the hopes that theyll adopt your beliefs seems sinister
I barely post but plz look at this again

I LOVE YOU ORANGE ACCENTS
THANK YOU ORANGE ACCENTS
a raven father (i call him "pants") I've been feeding sometimes likes to sit outside my window and either wait for more food or just listen to the stuff I'm watching while I draw. Today's a colder day so he likes to fluff up a bit, and I kid you not :
this is an accurate representation of my view
i need y'all to understand something about the real world: sometimes, you cannot avoid complicity. sometimes, the only way to get something really fucking important done is to shake hands with people who have shaken hands with baddies.
because sometimes? the alternative is failure. failure which leads to fucked results that hurt people and ruin society, long-term.
now, i'm not saying the Concept Art Association isn't playing with fire. i'm not even saying it's guaranteed they'll protect artists from tech's egregious, illegal, harmful misuse of AI Art technology.
i don't know if it's going to work. but i'd rather bet on a horse that can win. if you won't—because you think that makes you a good person—newsflash: it doesn't.
it makes you immature and ignorant.
your ideal society where good causes don't vaguely brush against bad brands is a fairytale. bad brands have their hands in everything that works. do the math.

This is just my conjecture but regarding the Red Crescent isn’t it possible that RC staff just… aren’t able to resist Hamas forcing them to smuggle weapons even if they said no? Considering that I’d imagine RC workers don’t have any combat skills or weapons and Hamas personel are… well yknow., it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re just scared into / forced into doing it
Not saying it’s great but I’m just saying I kinda don’t blame them if they’re forced or pressured, when the people forcing you have insane hyper-extreme beliefs i wouldn’t blame them
so a thing i think people don't always get:
spammers lie.
if you get spam, they are lying. yes, really.
if you get spam from someone claiming they were vetted, the conclusion you should reach is not "ahh, this one is legitimate", it is "oh, the entity vetting them is part of the grift".
i know it sounds horrifying to imagine someone so unthinkably depraved that they would say a false thing on the internet, but i have to say, it's... actually pretty normal.
always remember that fake proof is a central component of scamming people who are careful enough to check, but not careful enough to think about whether the way they're checking is actually meaningful.
