International Space Station
The space station is orbiting halfway between Cambodia and Australia, now! 7:50 am PST, 5/8/17. The ISS weighs 350 tons and orbits at about 100 miles above the Earth. It is traveling at 17,350 miles an hour. Pretty fast for 350 tons. And a remarkable accomplishment for NASA. David Schaedler

Oroville Dam and the California Drought
The spillway is to increase runoff to 45,000 CFS starting Wednesday, where it previously was at 15,000 CFS.
Oroville Dam was in the news in February, when increased rains produced a problem with water release. The regular spillway removes dam water overages. When the dam water reaches it’s maximum height, at 960’, the highest dam in America begins using the emergency spillway.
Oroville Dam’s emergency spillway went into use February. The news found the emergency spillway seemed insufficient and an evacuation was called by DWR. 180,000 were evacuated, and crowded into churches, Evacuation Centers, and friends homes outside the dams area. It was chaos. Some had only an hour’s notice. Some were diverted after evacuating. They all got out. After about a week, officials said it was safe to go back, and residents returned to their homes.
The Oroville Dam evacuation of February proved to be a harbinger of what was possible after the 5 year California drought. Climate Change caused heavy rains to appear.
It also damaged the spillway. A lot. The Oroville Dam Spillway was broken in half. Water removal from the spillway had increased to 100,000 CFS, but was now decreased, eventually to zero, while DWR officials checked to see just how bad it was, up close. It was found that ‘it needed fixin’, and Governor Brown went to Washington to ask for funds. That happened and California was going to get it’s dam spillway repaired.
Hundreds of millions of dollars were expected for the repair. Those contracts were appointed, and spillway reconstruction was begun in April 2017. Oroville is to expect completed reconstruction of the spillway by November.

Bill Limits Foreign Workers
President Trump signed an order limiting foreign workers recently. He says, “American goods ought to be made with American workers.”
Is this another form of immigrantion control? It sure looks like it is. Previous orders stopped immigration from seven foreign countrys that primarily practiced religious Islam. Discrimination of Religion is illegal in America. The bill was banned by the Justice Dept, and a fight ensued. The Justice Dept won and the bill was banned. Recently, the Republicans approved Justice Gorsich to the Justice Dept, a Republican who is fought by the Democrats for inappropriate rulings. Limiting immigration from any country is against the US’s open door policy, and should be fought. Although this is more general than the religious ban, it still will be resisted.

Russian Hacking
Russia is flooding the internet with fake news about the Syria Satin Gas Attack. 8:15am PST, 4/14/17 GMA channel 10, Sacramento. So, now we know what Russian hacking is really about, to blind America, to cause the American people to think differently, to put something other than the truth up in front of the American public. This would be used in wartime, to cause sensors to become nonfunctional, so their directed weapons would not work well. No surgical strikes. So we must be very close, or closing in. We know what Russia can do. We must be watchful for the truth in what little we get from this news source. And we know Putin's background, too. He was a former KGB operative. US Attorney General Illegal
US Attorney General Jeff Sessions left the US illegally. He says he’s taking a vacation. But (actually) he’s leaving during a sexual harassment scandal. 4:10 am PST ABC10 News. Where kind of court system are we going to have, when our top lawyer is embroiled in a lawsuit? And that’s his! A sexual harassment lawsuit, too. It’s as if this highest Trump cabinet lawyer is flaunting the legal system, testing it to see if he can subvert it to his own purposes. And Trump’s. The top lawyer! If he does, there goes the legal system. Lying to the Judge, dismissed - Anyone with a simple lie can get off their lawsuit by citing his. Anyone smart enough, that is. “Your Honor, my client only wasn’t at home at the time of the invasion. He wasn’t there.” And by that lie, purposefully introduced by that lawyer, thousands can break the law, shake their fist at John Law, and laugh in the face at every policeman in America. Do we want that to occur? No. No! One other vote, No! We must do more to persuade every instance of legality in our court system. To insure that it always remains legal. Russian Election Investigation
What happened to the Russian Election Investigation? I first heard about it when bold assertations of definite incursions into our Democratic Election process was apparent. Then, a determined investigation. Last, they threw out Nunes, who had ties that were in appropriate. Now, submerged again. So, what’s happening? No news. Are they quietly disbanding? If our elections were voided by a foreign power, which would be a first, we are in a questionable state of governance. Who really tipped the scales? How was this done? Can we insure it doesn’t happen again? Look what happened. Our chosen president has decided to begin a war with another country, already in it’s own Civil War. Regardless of how badly they acted, he can only do that by an action of Congress. Which he had not done. In doing this, Russia, who has sided with Syria, has said he has broken international law by provoking this war. Russia has many states under it and following it. America used to have other countries following it, what now? With a new administration, the world governments must choose, and knows something about it. Since we only have one world, we must walk a tightrope, too. Admittedly, I am an American, and must not provoke the powers that be. But how badly has this gone? By starting instigation into another’s war, he, and America, has been label a criminal. Which is not what the US has been. We were once called ‘The World's Policeman’. And from that, we were discouraged, too. When will we ever get it right? Right now in America, our police seem to be under fire. Body cameras and videos of police harassment of suspects and innocent victims are abundant. It seems the police can’t get it right. Or maybe we can’t see they are doing their best. The truth is, in the last number of years, crime has fallen. So things are really okay. But they want to do better. Well some things go only so far. As to “The World’s Policeman”, we can’t expect other cultures to be like US, who are quite different, a 'free’ country. David Schaedler. 4/11/17
