He was called as the expert doctor for the summit alongside with Luna as his intern. Despite falling asleep during Xeno's speech, he was awake when the petri-beam hit and heard the order to stay awake no matter what. Guess that's was the start of his resentment towards the certain Commander which only grew more when he got stuck with him on the same base
