Re-watching the new Ninjago episodes cause I wanna support the official release, but it made me realize something. I think Aron’s fatal flaw is that he’s selfish, but in the way of victimizing himself. For example, when Sora asks him to go to the tournament with them, he said he wouldn’t be needed so he shouldn’t go, even though there were many things they would need him to do during it. Because he feels sorry for himself that he will never be an elemental master. Arin needs constant validation because he never feels enough, he feels he deserves a talent or needs it to feel worthy (like being a good detective, or be an elemental master) Even though he LOVES learning about elemental powers and really wants to go, he would deprive himself of it to feel less worthless.

And this isn’t even the only instance of this. Him leaving the ninja to look for his parents. Him caring less about the dragon that was crashing and more about how he lost his clue. Which all collided into him leaving the ninja and jumping to the conclusion that they don’t care about finding his parents.

I’m not saying this to throw shade on arin, I’m saying this because I LOVE IT. It’s a very simple flaw that makes him a well rounded character that’s interesting. It causes drama and angst that I’ve been waiting on for forever.

I think Morro coming back will definetly have to do with whatever happened to the Departed Realm. It has been said by Doc that it will be explored how death works in the Merged Lands now.

So my theory, Morro will be there and the team ends up finding/searching for the new Departed Realm and run into Morro. Maybe he will be the one to explain how it all works now after the merge idk.

Its important to note, Morro isn't shown to be hostile in the set image so that could mean he's helping the team.

Does it ever kill you that it wasn’t even Arin who ended up solving the whole mystery. Like that was the whole reason he even agreed to go to the tournament— he would be able to do something and something useful for once, but in the end that task was taken up by someone else again.

What if Arin has to stand trial in front of the Source Dragon Council?

What if Arin steals Lloyd's Dragon Icon and provides it to Ras, which allows Ras to take control of Motion (like in the set) and almost rip apart the world?

What if Lloyd, who has a strained relationship with Arin at this point, is forced to stand idly by as the Source Dragons deliberate on Arin's crimes agains them, and eventually has to be Arin's defense?
