Hi ! Can you recommend me some fics where either Dream or George or both struggle with realizing they are not straight. Or maybe ones where them being gay for each other is a big deal or main focus of the story ?

I'm pretty new to this ship is there any the best of the best list of fanfiction ? Or any particular one I just have to read ?

I prefer longer ones like at least 5 000 words but anything would be great.

hi! i'm looking for a fic that had a lot of the dsmp cast as background characters. the gist is that dream, a human, moved into a new town that had a nightvale vibe. he really liked george who turned out to be a leviathan. the fic had a pretty high word count and a nsfw sequel that took place during christmas, or another part to the series that did. in one of the parts of the series george turned into a lizard and dream had to take care of him lol. thanks!

Remus was used to everything he owned looking black to him. Really he had been from a month after the purple and green turned black, but waking up to a yellow cord winding around his wrist was new.

His immediate thought was to barge into his brother’s room. “HA! Now we’re 2 each!” He cheered, slamming the door open, glancing back to frown at the cord he’d attempted to tie to his own so they’d slam at once. Apparently the cord wasn’t corporeal enough to do that yet. He’d keep trying.

“How do you see me, King George?” Dream said, voice gentle and tinted with hope, eyes boring onto George’s as he searched for an answer.

They are the same color as grass, leaves, emeralds, earth… They are not dull.

“Dreamily,” George whispered, but Dream heard, and he lightly laughed.

Oh.

“Was that supposed to be a pun, your majesty?” The knight snickered, tucking a loose strand of dirty blonde hair behind his ear.

George couldn’t mutter a response, caught in a daze as he stared at him and his colors. Dream’s hair seemed even more golden against the sunset, with his cheeks a gentle shade of red, his lips painted with a soft tint of pink, and his eyes seemed as if they had a forest inside them.

Help me, oh heavens.

“Assuming by your reaction, I say they work.” Dream said, squaring his shoulders as he felt quite proud of himself. After a moment that lingered where they only stood and stared, Dream stepped back, spreading his arms as he gestured around the field they were on. “The colors of the world, your majesty. Look at them.”

But I want to look at you.

George could only watch as the knight ran around the field, pointing to different flowers and butterflies that flew by, and at the sight of the knight’s enthusiasm, he felt his own adrenaline suddenly racing through his veins.

And all at once, the world became perfect.

The sky had an abundance of colors, from orange to red and yellow. The field blossomed with a thousand different flowers that varied in colors and patterns, and butterflies hopped from one petal to another. And his knight was the most colorful he had ever seen him.

On the spur of the moment, the world was before him.

Smiling, he embraced the way his heart fluttered.

And from the distance, his knight smiled back. “Do you love them, King George? The colors of the world?”

You are the world.

“I do.”
