They don’t get everything though, and George loves that more. Dream opens his mouth, then closes it, and George feels assured that nobody else will ever get a moment like this with him.

Distantly they hear one of the Twitch staff sharply call George’s name.

All at once, Dream hears the echoes of the screaming crowd again.

He feels the panic rise in his throat again but George’s palms drop to grab his hands.

“Okay. Okay, I’ll look at you, I promise.”

“You’ve got this Dream, I believe in you.” George leans forward once more and presses a soft kiss to the corner of Dream’s mouth.

Dream swallows thickly. “Wanted to?”

“When I first got here, filming the vlog. When I went to kiss you, it’s not because I thought it’d be funny. It’s because I actually really wanted to. At first I thought it was just the heat of the moment and a rush of emotions, but it hasn't calmed down since then.”

Since George moved to Florida, things have finally started to feel normal, the way they were always supposed to. Except one thing. When he 'jokingly' tried to kiss Dream during the vlog.

Dream didn’t say anything more, so George didn’t either. He let the words that festered inside him eat through his heart and ribs and skin until he was bleeding out on the lumpy mattress. He didn’t say everything that might convince Dream to stay; instead he wrapped his hands around his ribs and hunched his shoulders as if that would contain him.

I miss you. I’m scared of you leaving me forever. I need you and you need me. I regret walking away that day. I love you.

He didn’t even say goodbye. He didn’t say anything at all.

Karl's hosting the new exchange student, and Dream wants to adopt him into his little group of dumb loud friends. It takes Dream a while to realise that he's actually falling in love.
