Je moet je verweren zeiden ze

Voor jezelf opkomen

Je niet laten doen door andere

Niet over je heen laten lopen

Niet te lief zijn

Of te vriendelijk

Niet iedereen vertrouwen

Maar wie dan wel

Als het dan zover is

Je gooit alles eruit

Raak je iedereen kwijt

Waarom vertelde niemand dat

Dat als je voor jezelf opkomt

Dat je dan mensen verliest

Dat het voelt alsof de bodem wegzakt

En dat je er alleen voor staat

Ik had het graag anders gezien
