I'm practicing drawing him
I can’t wait for this cute baby to crush and burn our souls. (◡‿◡✿)
Background from here.
People like Cedric because he's the most expressive, ironic, and sassy character of the show. He has a great *unconventional* design, he walks funny, he's weird, he bullies kids because he's tired of his job (who in the world can't relate to this) and he gives us funny scenes. He's just so done with life that there's a scene where Sofia asks what's wrong with her, and this mf starts to laugh like joker thinking about thousands of things to say to her, but he holds himself not to
He has a terrible sleep schedule, he's grumpy, he's frustrated with his work, his social life sucks, his posture? same thing. Absolutely no bitches, no friends, depressed, irritated, and still too silly to do anything too cruel, or he fails constantly. And he has a big repressed heart underneath all this, which makes us relate to him even more.
His voice actor is amazing, his songs are good, his backstory???? Perfect, he has good reasons of why he did what he did, and he wears purple. Chef's kiss.
People like him because he's relatable, funny and he stands out from the other characters. The other part of the fandom can't be mad just because the character who stands out the most is the most popular one. It's not my fault that I get just happy watching the usual episodes but laugh my ass of in the ones he's in. Blame the writers for making such a lovable and relatable character.
Yes, there are indeed some people in the fandom who react too much when his name is mentioned, like for example hating ANY character who goes against him somehow, but I guess that's how fandoms work. Our fandom is small (thank god), y'all would know what real suffering is when your favorite character has a huge fanbase who treats him like a baby who can't be harmed in any way. I swear to god the STF fandom is a lot healthier than other fandoms that I've met before. For me, everything here seems nice and under control. There's weird stuff here and there, but I've seen worse (I'm an og undertale fan)
Thelema, Oneiros, Gnosis This now, is the real title. Ink on watercolour (cotton) paper. gimped the colours for this version. Soon to be coloured in watercolour

Quirks and observations #1:
At no point has anyone ever made Ford feel like he has intrinsic value. Deep down he feels people will only tolerate him if he is being useful hence his obsession with 'fixing' his mistake when it was really him being manipulated.
After Weirdmageddon, he immediately turned around and called his life's work 'an old man's folly'. He was willing to sacrifice himself to save his family but after everything he's gone through he calls Stanley the hero because Stanley was the one who got it done.
He doesn't forgive himself for making mistakes.
Ford always has all these metrics with which he judges himself and his standards are so damn high. He doesn't think he's a great scientist. He doesn't think he's a good man or even a good brother. He always has to be the fixer, the smart one, the one constantly trying to prove himself competent. Nothing he does is ever good enough because he knows the moment something goes wrong people will drop him.
He saw how his father treated Stanley, and he internalized it. Even when Ford made his father proud, he was keenly aware of how precarious and conditional it all was.
I'd like to think that at some point his family tells him it's okay to ask for help, but because he's so guarded no one has figured out that what he really needs is someone to tell him they won't love him less if he messes up.
Ford desperately needs someone that gives him permission to fail.
There is no other place in Gravity Falls I would rather be than the lake.
After the science fair...
Stan rejoices at Ford's success. I really like the fact that Stanley is so genuinely happy for his twin.
A Metalocalypse episode concept I can see so vividly is one where the band finds out Charles is gay, and they start doing that typical straight guy “just don’t start hitting on me hahaha” thing. To which Charles reassures them that he’s professional and wouldn’t do anything to make them uncomfortable. Also they shouldn’t worry because none of them are his type.
That last comment causes everyone in the band to take psychic damage. They spend the rest of the episode obsessing and panicking over why Charles wouldn’t like them. Meanwhile Charles is just doing his job as normal.
