Alright, everyone who is and isn’t ready this. Well, I suppose those of you who aren’t reading this wouldn’t see my hello, so… Anyways, Day 5 went something like this: I woke up and ate breakfast. Afterwards, on the bus, our tour guide read us some *actual* complaints from past tours and some...
Once I got over my moral objections and embraced the dark side, I found this to be very interesting and informative...kinda evil fun, too.
Just had a delightful conversation with these two dudes. Don’t know about what exactly but I like to think we were on the same page and agreed with each other wholeheartedly.
Taaaaaj, who is "a huge indie perfume/scent nerd," defined the scents of Enderal characters. These portray the characters as well as any moodboards I've ever seen:

Hand-fasting sash I made for my son's and daughter-in-law's wedding. It's the first time I've done embroidery and I'm quite happy with it ( they are, too!)
- Green, white, and silver were their chosen wedding colors.
- Blue and red are the colors representing the words each/both choose for what marriage means to them (mostly based on Druidic and Wicca traditions).
- Circles throughout symbolizing the Summer Solstice, their wedding date.
- On the white side, the flowers around their names and wedding date are traditional Bohemian designs in honor of Tya's heritage.
- The style on the green side is generally Celtic (a good portion of Nathan's heritage and a style that resonates with both of them - the music list was amazing!).
- Tree of Life and endless knots represent the intertwining of their lives and growth / nurturing / life (Celtic and Norse traditions, although I couldn't fit all 9 roots of Yggdrasil).
- On either end are the masculine (sun) and feminine (moon) with one "protecting" the other, allowing the other the freedom from a safe place to explore, create, and become their best selves.
Reblog every day. Act. ACT!
Yesterday afternoon the House subcommittee that provides Congressional oversight for the FCC held an important hearing about the agency’s current plans, including current Chairman (and former Verizon lawyer) Ajit Pai’s move to gut Title II net neutrality protections that prevent ISPs from controlling what we do online with throttling, censorship, and extra fees.
With Capitol Hill’s attention now on the FCC, and Pai’s final plan to gut net neutrality protections expected in the coming weeks, it’s extra important that Congress gets flooded with phone calls from Internet users telling them to stand up and defend the open Internet.
We’re also hearing there are key members of Congress considering whether to step in and force Pai to slow down. This means best chance to stop the FCC from breaking the fundamental principle that makes the Internet awesome is to pound Congress with phone calls right now.
You can call your reps easily with just one click here: battleforthenet.com
You’ll see a script on your screen, or you can say something like this:
“I support Title Two net neutrality rules and I urge you to oppose the FCC’s plan to repeal them. Specifically, I’d like you to contact the FCC Chairman and demand he abandon his current plan.”
You can also just call this number directly and enter your zipcode to get connected to your legislators: 202-930-8550.

Ajit Pai is expected to circulate the text of his rule killing net neutrality on November 22, the day before Thanksgiving. Once that happens, it will move to a vote at the FCC’s open meeting in December, and it will become much much harder to stop him.
It’s clear that the FCC remains set on killing net neutrality. But Congress can stop the FCC from gutting the rules that keep the web open, affordable, and awesome.
They had something to eat. They had a drink. They were at the inn...had a room for the night. They argued about philosophy...he was right. She hated that he was right, but he was. It was as if he'd seen all the details of her life and read all the lessons she'd learned through her 30-some years: no one ever stayed for long. They did what was socially expected; not what they really wanted... or needed.
They had another drink... something called "to-kill-ya" or something like that. It was sweet...like his smile. It was tart, like his sense of humour.
No one ever stayed. She knew it, but did it matter? One sweet night is all she wanted, then whatever the next day brought, it brought...no obligations, no regrets. She laughed a lot. How long had it been since she laughed? Really laughed? She laughed so hard that she couldn't breathe.
When they finally staggered up to their room...why had they only gotten one room anyway...she wished she hadn't drunk so much; she'd be asleep in minutes and awake in just a couple hours.... regretting.... wondering what it was like to have a normal life, whatever that meant, and then moving on. Maybe he'd move on with her. She'd like that. Maybe she'd never see him again and he'd be stacked among the possibilities she never tried hard enough to explore. Possibilities... eventualities... who could say? But she did laugh.
Let's mash up Frederic Brown's "Knock" a bit and tell me who's at the door...
The last person in the universe sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door...
It's the Veiled Woman who's finally going to explain to me what the fuck.
