How would you like a canon divergent carry on AU where Lucy didn't die, took Simon with her to California, and raised him as a single mother there. Then stuff happens, and Simon finds himself in Watford, hating England and everyone he meets.

Simon, who was raised by Lucy, who knows how to control his magic, who has an American accent and is incredibly tan from the California sun. Baz doesn't know how to handle himself.

They fall in love as they work to avenge their mothers deaths.

I’ve done about half of these myself in one WIP or another and a little detail here or there goes a long way in reminding the audience that this isn’t Kansas anymore.
