C = Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

- it’s a good thing to be dating a doctor, because Marco knows exactly how to help his s/o through a panic attack. he knows all the breathing exercises and even has their medication on hand to help when necessary if they are prone to them. he has such a calming personality that is really beneficial during moments like that. he just knows his partner very well, and can help them through their attacks easily. 

- he’s also great with helping his s/o out in general, when they’re feeling down in the dumps and just need some comfort. he’ll draw a nice bath for them, or offer a cuddly nap together. he’ll listen to them rant, vent, and ramble about whatever they need to get off their chest and will try his best to offer advice when needed. he just does a great job of taking a step back and reminds them that he is there for them to get them through whatever they need. but if they need time for themselves, he can understand that as well. he’s never pushy or demanding, very doting and selfless!

N = Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?

- Marco tends to use the more traditional nicknames, sticking to the loving and non-embarrassing ones: love, dear, darling, honey, and babe are about his range, with love and dear being used the most often! he tries his hardest to stay casual when they are around others, but a nickname or two almost always slips out. also a very “honey, I’m home!” kind of man. 

- there’s been a few moments where he’s temporarily forgotten their actual name because he uses the nicknames so much! sometimes when he’s feeling flirty he’ll slide in a cutie or a sexy in there. you won’t ever catch him using any silly nicknames really, they’re too embarrassing! as for himself, he loves when his partner calls him handsome, honey, darling, love, etc! he gets a lil blushy when they call him flirty names like hot stuff or sexy, but he still definitely enjoys it.

W = Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

- after being with them for so long, Marco developed a bad habit of referring to his s/o as “my wife/husband” when introducing them to people or simply talking about them even though they weren’t married yet! the whole village just referred to  them as Marco’s wife/husband without even thinking about it for a really long time. after Marco’s 524th slip up, he ended up buying a ring to finally make it official!

C = Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

- he’ll at first try to make them laugh and smile, thinking maybe they just need a little pick me up. if his silly antics don’t cheer his partner up, then serious, sweet, and caring Shanks will emerge to whisk them away. he’ll also be extra cuddly with them, holding them close and listening to them cry or whatever else they need to do to feel better. he’ll pet their hair, rub their back, litter their skin with kisses, and remind them over and over how amazing, strong, and capable they are and that they can conquer anything! he will remind them that he is there for them and that he loves them no matter what.

- he can be a bit overbearing sometimes as he won’t leave them alone until they genuinely smile again! but he just wants to be sure that they’re okay, and he’ll spend however long it takes to make them feel better. sometimes he just rambles to distract them. he’ll share all kinds of crazy stories about his adventures, some true and some definitely exaggerated, but the way he tells the stories is so captivating that it honestly really helps to calm his partner down! his favorite story to tell is how they met and when he realized he fell in love with them. ❤️

N = Nicknames - What do they call their s/o? 

- the most cutesy, ridiculous names ever. some are genuine and endearing, some are just so ridiculous they’re silly! babe, sweetheart, sweetie, love, darling, honey, baby love, dear, doll, angel, sweet cheeks, cutie/cutie pie, sexy mama, hot stuff, sunshine, sugar/sugarlump,  love muffin, pookie bear, kitten, buttercup, cuddle bug, the list literally goes on and on.

- you can always tell what kind of mood he’s in with the choice of nicknames. babe, honey, sweetheart, etc. being genuine terms of endearment. sweet cheeks, sexy mama, love muffin, etc. are more for when he’s being playful and flirtatious. sugar lump, pookie bear, cuddle bug, etc. is just Shanks trying to be silly in order to embarrass his s/o and make them smile! will also probably use these when he’s drunk lol he also loves to be called nicknames himself, no nickname is too embarrassing for him! he practically thrives off of the silly nicknames lol

W = Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

- he has a picture of him and his s/o together in his pocket at all times. he pulls this picture out when times are tough, when he’s doubting himself, or when the distance is making things truly hard. one look at that picture and he’s instantly reminded of the pure love they share and his whole reason for fighting. the picture is extra wrinkled from unfolding and refolding it so many times and a little splotched in other areas due to tear stains, but he wouldn’t dare replace it.
