Kinda annoying that almost all masculinization transformation content is explicitly aimed at transgender men indicating I need to make an AO3 and just make my own self indulgent fetish content
I'm a petty individual in some ways.
I see a hate post about a character I like, I go out of my way to spam my feed with that character.
some days you cannot help but pity some people
maybe it's cuz i'm crazy, but isn't it weird that the ppl who say "trans men/mascs want to be men but not be treated as men" see "treating someone as a man" in the exact same way misogynists treat women?
like, in their opinions trans men/mascs should be:
seen but not heard
support others while not expecting anything in return
be ok with being marginalized in our own spaces
not talk about our issues, especially mental health and reproductive health
live in a very strict standard of beauty
not be too masculine
don't overshadow anyone ever
have our accomplishments and historical figures be dismissed and forgotten
not communicate our trauma or discomfort
not set boundaries
not talk about the realities of our lives and bodies
like, i'm sure i've heard all this before

it somewhat irritates me when people talk about how "masculinity is encouraged in girls, but femininity is discouraged in boys."
yes, it is more socially acceptable for a woman to present in a masculine manner than for a man to dress/act femininely. but that is not the same as masculinity being encouraged. tomboys are tolerated as young girls- but once you've hit pre-teen/teenage years, the expectation is that you femme up and drop any masculine characteristics. masculinity in girls is allowed as a childhood phase, but it is by no means encouraged, especially as you begin to mature and enter adolescence. anyone who thinks that masculine women are treated favorably in society has never met an actually masculine woman
