I am going to follow this blog because I really like their insight into other audiodramas in the space. (/internally screaming "PLEASE DON'T THINK I AM ASKING FOR YOUR INSIGHT ON MY SHOW, I JUST LIKE THE WAY YOU USE WORDS AND I WANT TO SEE MORE OF IT ON MY FEED.)
as it turns out, trying to write your own audio drama is about 30% character creation, 20% world building, and 50% coming up with a list of fucked up pizzas that monsters might enjoy. this is fun lol
Last but not least, the chorus. These people provided voices for minor characters, making the soundscape of Haven that much richer. Big thanks to Alex, @wastedarkcell, @dead-west-podcast, Jack, Loggerhead, Katrina, Ashlee, @starplanes, J.E. and @superhumanfoods for lending their voices to this project.
Dead West Visual Trailer
So, I make little trailers like this for projects I do as sort of a moving mood board. Something about them scratches an itch in my brain. So here is the one I did for DW the moment I heard the final version of the Theme Music from Sage. I still get chills when I get to drop that glorious piece of art into each episode of the show. You know what? I should do some of these for funsies for other shows too! Hmmmm. Who to unabashedly show some love to first?
How you feel when you're Truly Deeply Evil but you find an indie audio drama/podcast community that is kind and welcoming and gets your vibe and you just want everyone to get puppy kisses and shit.
Season 4 finale is LIVE! Let me know what you think!
Sometimes while I am writing for or editing an episode of the Dead West Podcast I get these images in my head and I have to get them out in some way or another. It normally comes out in some version of photo bashing or editing as I am still learning how to draw. This one is my edit of the American Gothic painting by Grant Wood. This came to mind as I was writing about the Davis Family in our first few episodes of the show.
Hey all apologies for not updating sooner but the next Episode will drop on Monday the 12th. Little life events and work stuff have piled up so that I only really get a fraction of the time needed to pick away at the show. But this weekend is thankfully lighter and I will have the ability to really sit with the show and finish it out to the degree we have all come to expect with it!
Watch out for our mini-fundraiser because if we don't get to goal, Hi Nay cannot continue in 2025 (because I can't make a podcast if I can't pay rent)
BUT ALSO! Get excited, because this fundraiser means a BUNCH of new episodes for you all to enjoy. More details below (with ID).
WE'LL RELEASE THE REST OF ACT 3 ALONG WITH THESE BONUS EPISODES!
WE'LL RELEASE THE DANNY AND CORNELIUS BONUS EPISODE!

The fundraiser will drop along with an audio announcement on December 1. Mark your calendars and follow @hinaypod!
Hi Nay, literally translated to “Hi Mom”, is a supernatural horror audio drama about Filipina immigrant Mari Datuin, whose babaylan (shaman) family background accidentally gets her involved in stopping dangerous supernatural events in Toronto — alongside two supernatural detectives, her 6’2 strong-armed lesbian neighbor, and a celebrity conman guru with real magic powers.
Season 1 of Hi Nay follows their mission to stop the Elders, a group of early 1900s rich immortal occultists, from terrorizing innocent people with cursed objects called Foci — especially their mysterious leader, The Benefactor, who is so powerful that nobody is able to remember his face or name.

Well howdy, Traveler! Thanks for the kind words about our show and I couldn't agree more with your assessment of both Englewood AD and Hi Nay being impeccable!
STARTED THREE IMPECCABLE AUDIO DRAMAS TODAY!!
Hi Nay - The best supernatural procedural since The X-Files. Has me HOOKED! The lore, the characters, the amazing cultural influences. I just wanna get a knife and fork and eat it.
Dead West - WEIRD WEST, MY BELOVED! Amazing music, great writing, impeccable vibes that capture the appeal of both westerns and folk horrors. Can’t wait to listen to more.
Englewood After Dark - Amazing slice of academic horror. There was a scare in the first prequel short that genuinely gave me chills, and some truly vile twists and turns for the second. If the warm up shorts are this good, the rest is gonna kill me.
