Here are some ideas to get you started!

You can look back at your favourite moments in the anime or manga. How about the moment you fell in love with your character? Or when they were seriously injured? Your favourite fight? Or character development moment? A moment that elicited certain emotions? How about the moment when you began to ship two characters!?

You can do what I am doing: go on Random Generator and pick a number from 1 to 686 and have it generate a random chapter for you to retell.

You can make it as long or as short as you want. Hey, It can even be just one sentence!

More importantly, have fun! This is a great creative writing exercise, I wish I did more!

A/N: Whenever someone tells me that it’s my fault for making them like a character they weren’t into from the start, I do a little laugh like a villain. That was the plan from the start 😏. I have succeeded, hehe. Now, onto your question:

Do I think Shinji is romantic?

Why absolutely yes. Just not in the manner the ideal envisionment of romanticism is portrayed. This is Shinji we’re talking about. He’s gonna add his ✨️extra spice✨️ to whatever it is he’s planning. If he were to be romantic, it would likely be in a lighthearted, mischievous way—flirting with an easy confidence, throwing in cheeky remarks, and making his partner laugh. He’s not the kind to be overly sappy, but he’d show affection through actions rather than grand words—cheeky and casual touches, making sure his partner is safe, and being there when it truly counts.

That being said, if he ever did get serious about someone, his rare, unguarded moments of tenderness would hit hard, making it clear that, behind all the jokes, he genuinely cares.
