During the pre-Disney The Clone Wars-era, Ashley Eckstein states Dave Filoni is like George Lucas’s padawan... So I’m supposing when Lucas parted from Star Wars, Dave Filoni got a surprise Knighting ceremony or something?

Dave Filoni: Gee, I can’t believe it, a farewell party for Master Lucas *enters a dark room*

*A bunch of lightsabers flicker up in the dark.*

Filoni: Woah, woah, what’s going on?

*George Lucas emerges from the shadows in a hooded Jedi cloak with his lightsaber*  

Filoni: Master?

George Lucas: Step forward, Padawan. And kneel. 

Filoni: Uh ok.

George Lucas: By the rite of Lucasfilms, by the will of the Force, Dave Filoni you may rise.

Filoni: What does this mean?

George Lucas: It means you are what I once was, a lead storyteller of the Star Wars universe.

Filoni: *wipes tears away* Sniff, so that means,

George Lucas: Yes, you can make that motley crew premise that you originally wanted for The Clone Wars that I vetoed. The creative freedom is in your power.

Filoni: Woo-hoo!

Zeb: Password.

Kanan: I’m just here to get Ezra.

Zeb: Well he’s busy.

Kanan: With what?

Zeb: We’re in the middle of building a pillow fort.

Kanan: He needs to train.

Zeb: And I need a pillow fort.

Another Star Wars Rebels comic is out and this time I had the honour to design a new character for the Star Wars universe – a girl cadet named Reann, created by the talented writer Martin Fisher. When I first read her name, I spontaneously thought of Snow White for some reason. So I did just stick with that ;) 

Ezra: What do you mean we can’t keep him? We keep Chopper and I’m pretty sure he’s a registered murderbot.

Eli can not be as mentally healthy as the show wants us to believe. This boy has lost his father TWICE, and the second time he was forced to watch as his father sacrificed himself to save his son. When he was ten his mother “had to go away” god knows where so he has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE SHE’S BEEN THE LAST SIX YEARS. Twice he’s accepted people into his home (because he is a very kind and trusting person) and both times they betrayed him completely. He was freaking possessed and forced to attack his friends. All this and yet he forces himself to smile and be happy for his friends because he’s the leader and the Shane so he can’t show any weakness. So far we’ve seen evidence of his suffering twice: when junjie numped on the emperor and knocked him back into the hole, almost disappearing himself just like when Will sacrificed himself for Eli, and when Kord said “we’re pretty good at knocking people into holes” and Eli replied “just not getting them out.” This boy is completely broken and had such a messed up childhood and yet he puts everyone above himself and considers everyone’s problems above his and just ajdkfndjisb please take some time to yourself Eli please.
