(I... I just realized I didn’t sign that last ask, the one about being bored... so yeah, that was me, btw... whoops) I’d love some angst, if you’re up for it. Also, gosh, if I had the chance, I would want to hang out with you! Watch YouTube, chat, chill... it would be fun! - Vic
(That would be fun! Sorry this took forever, as soon as I started writing we had to go out. I have no idea what this is, nor why it went the way it did, but I hope you enjoy!)
“Aŕe҉ y̸o͝u̸ ̷r͏ęady͞, pùp͠p̕et̸?”
Schneep didn’t answer. Ever since Anti had taken him they’d done the same things every day. He just hung his head, waiting for the inevitable. Anti laughed.
“W͝e'r҉e̵ tŕyin̕g ̷someth҉i̧ņg͜ ne͡w t́od̢ay̷.,” Anti said, literally buzzing with anticipation. Schneep raised his head. Something new? What fresh torture had the glitch thought up?
Anti tossed a scalpel to Schneep. It hit the floor with a small clink. Schneep glared at Anti as the glitch cackled. Very funny. Toss something to a shackled prisoner who couldn’t catch it. ‘Very f**king funny,’ Scnheep thought. But he knew better than to say it out loud. Anti stopped laughing abruptly, his eyes going black. “Y̧o͝u ͟h̶av̧e͜ ͡a pa̵ti͝en̶t̵, d͢octor̷.̀”
Schneep stumbled when Anti pushed him forward. He gripped the scalpel tightly, it’s familiarity a small comfort after weeks but also a painful reminder of…of his failure the last time he’d held one. The failure that had lead to his situation. A light flickered on. And on an operating table laid an ego.
It wasn’t Jackie, or Chase, or Marvin. It was an ego Schneep had never seen before. A new one.
Did…did that mean Jack was alive? Hope sparked in Schneep’s chest. But it was snuffed by the static that burst in his ears.
A new ego. Before he’d been rescued?
“D́o̧ ͡you͝ ̛thįn͏k ̵the̢y̶'re̵ ͠stil͢ļ l͏óo̢k̕i̡ng fo͟r҉ y̨o͏u?” Anti’s voice whispered through the static. “N͟o.͡ ̷Th͡e͢y̡ fou̧nd͜ ͟sóm̴eo̴n͟e͢ ͢n̴e̶w. ̡Some̸one͞-”
“-to r̡͡ep̸͢͏l͠a͞c̷̕ȩ́ me,” Schneep finished, hurt and anger beginning to build in his chest. His words had been barely a murmur, but they echoed around him. Some part of him protested. Maybe Jack hadn’t meant to make someone new! Maybe it was an accident! But Anti’s influence flooded his mind and silenced the protests.
“Sho͝w̧ ̸h́i̢m̡ ̶h͟e̛ c̸an͟'̡t re̛pl҉ace͜ yo͞u.͜ S͡how҉ th̡e҉m͏.͡You͠ ̧h͠a̵v̡e̡ ͜so ̡m̵a͞ny͢ ̴sc͝a̛r҉ş. ͞A͢n͏d̵ he's͠ b̢ra͠n̵d n̶e̵w͢.̕G̀i͠ve ͟h҉i͏m s̷ome̕ sc͠a͞r̛s̡,̵ ̵pu̧p͝p͝et.͏ B͟reak͏ ͢their ne͡w ̛l͝įttlé ͡to̧y̷.”
“Scars…break.” Schneep moves closer. “If…if they want to replace me…it should be acc͜ưra͟t͡e.
"Alluring" with Marvin?
“Keep your eyes on the crystal,” Marvin cooed with an soothing smile as he twirled the chain gently between his fingers. “Watch how it reflects the candlelight. Back and forth...It invites you to reflect too. Let it carry the weight of your thoughts. Let it ease your mind, take all of your stresses away.”
“This shan’t be the end of me, madcap. I’ll get out.”
Physically, Jameson was unresistant to his bonds. He didn’t flail or sob as Anti stripped his hat, vest and shoes. That blind panic had always been part of the fun, but the Glitch was game for something fresh.
“Is thi͡s͜ th͞e d҉e̡f̕ian̴ce͘ ̕they’ve ̨be̵en t̷ea҉c͞hing ͠you, pu͜ppet͠? Tak͡i̷ng ̢a̴ stan̢ḑ wit̛h pr͜e͞t̀t͏y word͝s?” Grinning, he slid his knife along the underside of Jameson’s jaw, point digging into the soft curve. He flinched just enough. “Go ̀on, then̴, ̢brav̢e b̶òy. Gi͡v̕e ̵y̧o̡u͟r ͠s͢p̵eec̛h.”
“Round and round, it’s always the same.” The hardness of Jameson’s gaze shone with unbid moisture. “No doubt you’ll string me up…violate my body, my mind. But it shan’t last forever. I shall be free again, which is far more than I can say for you, Master. Preying on my weaknesses will never free you of yours.”
Okay so I can’t get this scene out of my head of Schneeplestein giving Jameson a check up to finally find out why his voice doesn’t work, Schneep asking all these questions and JJ having to practically play charades because Schneep doesn’t know BSL. For example, Schneep is asking JJ if he thinks he was just created without a voice and JJ starts to sign, but Schneep interrupts him, “JJ, you know I can’t sign,” and JJ heaves a sigh of frustration and starts to mime answers to Schneep’s questions. Schneep asks if JJ wants to write down his responses, but JJ shakes his head, he thinks this is more entertaining. The whole scene is just Schneep and JJ’s check up shenanigans, and a fun bonding time for the two. <3
…
After a while, Schneep started to narrow down the specifics of his questions.
“Does you voice feel hoarse vhen you try to use it?”
JJ eventually got across that he’s never tried to use it.
Schneep marked something on his clipboard. “Can you try for me?”
JJ shook his head.
Puzzled, Schneep asked, “Vhy not?”
JJ took a shaky breath and pointed to his Adam’s apple. Or, at least where it should be.
Schneeplestein narrowed his eyes and leaned in closer to JJ’s throat to get a better view, and sure enough, there was almost no bump where the top of his voice box should protrude. Schneep set down his clipboard and pressed against the spot of the mute ego’s missing Adam’s apple, JJ immediately recoiled and placed a protective hand against his neck. He gazed up at the doctor with furrowed brows and a pained expression, guilt shining in his eyes.
Schneep didn’t need Jameson to do anything for him to understand what happened.
“How long have you known about this?”
JJ averted his gaze, but the flush coloring his cheeks told Schneep all he needed to know.
“I see. Vell, vhy didn’t you vant to tell me about this?”
JJ, poised in his typical impeccable posture, tensed his shoulders and glanced at the clipboard. Schneep, seeing this, gave the clipboard and a pen to JJ.
The mute ego takes the pen and writes his answer in a flowing, beautifully styled cursive.
Before I even knew my name, I knew him. He was the only thing I knew. He was my world. His laugh sent ice down my spine, his voice clawed at my ears, his smile raked across my eyes. He carved into me like I was a pumpkin on Halloween. I can still hear my screams echoing in my head, sometimes I doubt those screams were ever mine. It lasted for an eternity, my God, Hendrik, it lasted forever. But eventually I stopped screaming, I stopped making noise, yet the pain never ceased. I didn’t notice at first, maybe he grew bored of my incessant noise, but he shredded my vocal cords into ribbons and cut my voice box out of my throat. How he was able to take my voice, but not my breath is horrific, but once he did this, he was gone. Then I was gone. Placed in another reality. This reality. That is why I didn’t want to tell you about this. My good friend, I didn’t want you to worry about me more than you already do. It’s done, it can’t be reversed. All my wounds have healed, except this one. There is nothing a good doctor such as yourself can do to make this right. You can’t fix me. I’m happy here, with you and the others. Please, just let me be.
Halfway through writing his note, JJ’s eyes started tearing up and his hand began trembling, nonetheless he finished it and returned the clipboard to Schneeplestein.
As soon as the clipboard left JJ’s hand, he stood up and darted out of the doctor’s office. Schneep, sensing he needed to be left alone, let JJ leave without a word.
The doctor picked up JJ’s note, and as he read deeper into it, anguish crept onto his face.
How had Jameson kept this to himself all this time?
Schneeplestein walked over to the door and peered outside where he saw JJ slumped against the far wall, he could hear a faint noise coming from his direction. Schneep, curious as to what the noise could be, stepped out of his office and started towards JJ. As he grew closer to him, he saw that the soft noise was JJ. He was crying. It was probably the loudest sound JJ had even made in a long time. Quiet, quivering gasps of breath, and trembling shoulders. Upon seeing this, Schneep rushed over to JJ’s side and sat down next to him. JJ didn’t seem to notice. The doctor had never been one to comfort others. That job was always taken by Jack, or Marvin, or JJ. Yet Schneep placed a tender arm around JJ, determined to help him feel better. Though the mute ego’s shoulders relaxed, he was quietly sobbing even harder than before. Schneep opened his mouth to speak.
“Vere you ever going to tell us about this?”
JJ quickly shook his head no and buried his face in his hands. The doctor gave a heartbroken sigh.
“I’m here to support you, okay, JJ?”
Jameson lifted his gaze to meet Schneeplestein’s.
“Ve all are.”
Without warning, JJ wrapped his arms around Schneep in a tight hug. Schneep tensed, not used to being touched, much less hugged. Wanting to console JJ as much as he could, he gingerly returned the gesture.
JJ parted first. His sobbing had gone down considerably to a silent sniffle.
He smiled at Schneeplestein and mouthed two words.
Thank you.
Schneep drew a short breath and gave a small smile back, “Let’s get you home.”
36 with PM?
“Poor little puppet...You’ve lost your way. In this world, it’s so hard for fools to think for themselves, isn’t it?” Puppetmaster crooned as he wound the pulsing strings around his plaything’s neck. “Why don’t you let Master do all of the thinking for you? My control is so much easier; it’s what you crave. I’ll fill every crevice in that empty head...You’ll be so much happier this way, don’t you think?” With one more tug, it was over. “Yes. You do.”

Fantasy Masks AU: Chapter One
A JSE Fanfic
Hey! Hey! New AU! :D I’m really excited for it! As you can probably tell from the title, this is a fantasy-themed one. Taking place in the kingdom known as Glasúil, where magic and strange creatures are common, a man called Chase lives a simple life in a mountain village with his family. But of course, something just has to happen, and, well…you’ll see next chapter ;) Feel free to ask me anything about this AU, even though it’s still in its early stages I have a lot of ideas that I’m eager to share!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The forest floor was blanketed in a layer of fallen leaves, red and orange and yellow matching the colors of those still on the tree branches. Bushes and shrubs made the terrain difficult for most people. But a single rabbit hopped across the ground, unhindered by the underbrush and making no sound on the crunchy fallen leaves. It stopped by a small bush, sniffed its leaves, and started to nibble on them.
Thwip! An arrow suddenly appeared next to the rabbit. It had barely landed when the rabbit was already running, darting off quickly. “Wait, no! No!” Someone shouted. A man appeared, shooting to his feet from where he’d been hiding behind a nearby bush. He nocked another arrow and let it loose, but it missed by a mile, landing in the trunk of a nearby tree. The rabbit was already gone.
“Damn it,” Chase cursed, looking down at his arm. That last shot had been sloppy; if he wasn’t wearing his arm guard, the bow string could’ve really hurt him. He tightened the guard straps and went to collect the arrows from where they’d landed. The one that hit the tree had its point chipped a bit. “Damn it,” he said again, whispering this time. If he kept chipping arrows, he’d have to buy more, and they couldn’t afford that right now.
Maybe he’d missed because it was starting to get dark. Chase looked through the branches of the trees towards the sky. He could see the rosy hint of a sunset in the distance. Well, if that wasn’t a sign that it was time to head back, he didn’t know what was. He’d already checked the snares he’d set up yesterday and set up new ones; there was nothing more to do. Disappointed, he turned back and headed east, towards town. Hopefully tomorrow he’d find more in the forest than three squirrels and a rabbit that he failed to shoot.
This part one of a 3 part prologue for one of my aus. I won’t give away any details but this is my first time writing anything so its far from perfect ^^’
~~~~~~~~~~
It was early morning and the sun was already high in the sky, its soft rays of light peeking in through the closed curtains. The windows on the far end of the room were tall and let in just enough light to disturb the figure sleeping in the bed on the opposite side. Though the bed was elegantly decorated with drapes and curtains, they proved useless in providing shield against the blinding rays that managed to sneak their way past the windows’ protective shades. The figure, who was still asleep, was wrapped up tightly in the wool blankets. They stirred lightly in their sleep and buried their face into the pillows, green hair falling over their face, completely shielding it from sight.
Only moments later, the door to the room opened and in walked a man dressed very properly in a beige vest and bow tie. His white dress shirt was without a single wrinkle, and even his moustache was perfectly groomed and curled upward to a fine point. Every detail in his appearance was put together with such delicate attention. With him, he carried in his hand a small tray with a teapot and a single teacup upon a saucer. The fine dishware had beautiful designs that were hand painted and appeared to be very delicate and expensive. The servant, who primarily went by JJ, carefully, and quietly, placed the tray on the nightstand closest to the door, careful not to startle the still slumbering figure. Then, he gently placed a hand on the individual’s shoulder and gave it a soft shake.

Fantasy Masks AU: Chapter Eight
A JSE Fanfic
This chapter is pretty short (by my standards.) I sat down intending to get to the action, but I realized I couldn’t skip straight to it and there was all this other stuff that had to come first, so I decided to put all that into its own part and included some conversations between characters so it wasn’t just all exposition lol. Here, Chase and Henrik and a bunch of others all travel south, getting ready to rescue Marvin. Will they make it in time? Who knows? All I know is that shit’s going down soon. Enjoy this shorter part before that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even though it was in the name, Chase hadn’t expected the flatlands to be so…flat.
It wasn’t as though he’d never been on flat ground before. The floors of houses were fixed, as were the grounds where farms raised their crops, and even in the mountains there were stretches of level land. But he’d never been in an area that was so consistently flat. It was a bit unusual. He felt out of his element. If he’d known it would be like this, he might not have agreed to join the group sent to rescue Marvin.
Of course, he was honored that Henrik asked him to come. He could tell that everyone else on this mission was much more experienced than he was. Henrik himself was coming, as were Lukas and Tripp, meaning about half the leadership of Wyvernlair was currently not there. A sign of how important this was. But still. Part of him couldn’t help but feel he might be a liability, being so far out of his element.
