Arts and crafts are perfect for adhd folk bc there's an immediate and visual progress.

Cut fabric, sew it together. You just made clothing.

Put some beads on some twine. You just made jewelry.

You can see your productivity.

Chores are the opposite. Yes, your kitchen is clean now. But you'll cook again that evening or the next day and you'll have to start over. Yes, you vacuumed. But two days later it's dusty again. Laundry done, until next week.

Chores never end.

But arts and crafts, nobody can undo the thing you made. You can hold it up and say "look. I made this. I did the productivity today" and nothing quite beats that serotonin rush.

Sometimes I catch up on Dracula while waiting for my train to arrive and I always feel so cool. I may appear to be merely scrolling my phone but I hope I'm eminating the aura of reading a classic horror. I'M the one who vanishes with the train's passing. I am in socks and sandals.

Rick really put 7-8 teenagers (+ a feral satyr) on a boat and never once made them do something feral together like play Bloody Mary or some shit like what were they doing? Actually sleeping? Unbelievable. Wdym they didn’t get Nico to at least once summon some ghost while playing the ouija board??? He should have made someone’s hair catch on fire (someone who isn’t Leo) and have them all frantically run around. The entire series just felt like they communicated together for like 20 minutes in a business meeting in the dining room every now and again and then after that they just stayed with their partners. where was the big group friendship bro where were the shitty truth or dare games at 4am???? Random screaming contests??

just thinking of how our meaning or purpose in life is merely to experience. eating an orange segment, hoping for snow, being in love, returning over and over to one painting, stepping outside for the full moon, submersion in water, having a favourite colour, knowing beauty, feeling alone, feeling connected, feeling longing… it is enough.

✨✨ Language progress really doesn’t come in big leaps, it comes in tiny tiny little steps. It’s really hard to notice that you’re making progress, but I promise you are. You do notice sometimes though, maybe how far you’ve come over a year when you revisit a text you can now totally understand it, whereas before you could just pick out words here and there. You’re doing so well and every little thing you learn is getting you closer and closer to knowing the language. Don’t give up, keep going!! ✨✨

people have these aesthetic book shelves, library and shit meanwhile here i am downloading my 789th illegal pdf/epub.

god i hate knowing i have stuff to do it's like bearing a curse
