sparkpelt

i remember sparkpelt had always been interesting to me, even before squirrelflight's hope and a starless clan. i felt like it was kind of unfair to paint her as this "super-awesome never stressed" character in comparison to alderheart. (don't get me wrong, i understand that the books from alderheart's perspective is obviously going to portray her in such a light because that's genuinely how he sees her, but it's a little upsetting since i feel like as the main character's sister, there was a lot that could have been done with her).

and i know a lot of people will argue that her being a background character is good because too many of firestar's descendants are main characters but like. i feel like she could have been important while still remaining a non POV character. i had always interpreted her personality as extremely hidden.

i never liked squirrelflight's and brambleclaw's relationship, so i always headcanoned sparkpelt as kind of being the peacekeeper within the family. alderheart was too anxious and unsure of himself to get involved, so sparkpelt automatically assumed the role. i always just assumed she put on a fake smile and told everyone she knew what she was doing when in reality, she was just going with the flow and hoping she didn't lose herself in the process.

when she and larksong ended up getting together, i imagine that him in all of his sweetness finally treated her with the care and attention that she deserved after being such a strong force for everybody in the clan.

i feel like nightheart's angsty "firestar" plotline could have been so easily given to sparkpelt for her to deal with in the background of alderheart's problems.

correct me if i'm wrong, but does alderheart ever think about his dead littermates? besides the sentence where we hear about them? it would have been so interesting for us as readers to see him or sparkpelt doubting themselves and then wondering if dandelionkit or juniperkit would have done it better.

i just love the concept of warrior cats but it could be done so much better if they just. hired people who really cared about it to write the books. i haven't caught up with the latest books since river cause i just feel like there's some kind of machine pumping them out lately.

i Love this stupid little game. why you might ask? THE LOREEEE I DONT GIVE A GAF IF ITS UNFINISHED OR UNPOLISHED!!!!!!!!!!! THE STORY IS STILL IN PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OFC ITS NOTR GONNA BE COMPLETE AND THE WRITINGS GONNA BE A BIT IFFY AT TIMES!!!!!!!!! ITS BECAUSE THE STORY ISNT DONEEEEEE PLEASE I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS GAME AND THE SILLY STORIES AND DIALOGUES AND CHARACTERS!!!! I LOVE THE DYNAMICS AND THE INTERACTIONS AND FEELINGS PUT INTO THE STORY!!!!!!!! i can feel the characters and the reasons as to why they behave, its beautiful!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THE FLOPPIES AND HOW THEY GIVE US MOORE INSIGHTS INTO THE CHARACTERS!!!!!! THEY GIVE US STORIES THEY GIVE US THINGS TO ANALYZE!!!!!!!!! MIND YOUU in the april fools thingy for the shape mania floppy it said that there was a writer in the team who wrote many many reddy floppies!!!! theres no space to put them in!!!!!!!

what im trying to say here is that although the writing might not be the best, its still a neat story! i honestly love how the writers and devs put so much love and care for their stories and dynamics and updates, every character gets a bit of love! reddy is one of the most underrated ones fandom-wise, but even then that one writer loves him!!!!

dont go saying that "oh damn this anon has no media literacy" im just enjoying a thing here!!!!!!!!! this is made for enjoyment!!! for fun & whimsy!!!!! the serious parts of the lore get interesting, but as i said THEYRE STILL NOT FULLY DEVELOPED YET!!!!!! GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO GET FULLY DEVELOPED!!!!!!!! thats all i wanted to say oki bai

the way this fandom treats shipping is quite tiring sometimes. like i get it regretevator is baby's first fandom and stuff but like OMG

shipping is like. the most common thing in fandom

like obviously there are characters that are aroace and romance repulsed (mach) (also just aroace characters in general like gnarpy and i am probably missing a few other characters) (poob and pest are acespec from my understanding but haven't been confirmed to be aro or anything. can we stop bitching about partybeetle it is SO tiring)

but like ohmigod you guys would not last a fucking day in any other fandom. creepypasta? the majority of content made in that fandom that isnt horror stuff is shipping and smut. monster high? a lot of shipping in there! homestuck?? like dont even get me started

as long as fandom has existed shipping has existed and whining about people shipping characters doesn't do much (which is also why i like. have fully stopped engaging in proship discourse. if i dont like a ship? i can block the person or scroll! i get like everyone in the regretevator fandom is aroacespec (including myself) but like COME ON
