Kokichi’s size often made him a magnet for meathead jocks and insecure assholes alike; the number one target for paper airplane pilots and spitball archers everywhere. On the other hand, people seemed to avoid Saihara  almost entirely. 

They acted like he was plague personified, his very flesh a poison. He’d seen girls scream and cry that he had accidentally brushed their shoulder in the hallway, then pass on his touch like some infectious strain of cooties. People held their breath and waved the air in front of their face when he walked by, complaining of a foul odour like piss, sweat and unwashed clothes. 

(Now that he was close to him, he didn’t smell bad at all. He smelled like blue raspberry and energy drinks.)

Kokichi was pushed into lockers and garbage cans. But everyone moved out of the way when Shuichi Saihara reached into his backpack.
