Here we go... BoyToy and I voted this morning, and he was the only one in his family to not vote Trump. I'm scared, thankfully, I have my IUD appointment next Monday, BoyToy is planning on a vasectomy for his 30th birthday (2 years from now). It's a very anxious night.

I think the root cause of their scorn may be this very issue, the fact that we are doing an activity deemed "feminine" or "girly" or "gay" and yet have turned around and become stronger, more capable, and less dependent upon men for their physical capabilities. It's threatening to them, as their small, limited ego, runs off of the fact that they are able to overpower and dominate women. When they come across a woman who is not prone to feeling threatened by something larger and stronger than her, that in turn, makes men perceive her more as a threat to their own social standing.

Why do males think they are special for opening jars or changing a tire? lol I literally saw some male say “Every woman is a feminist until she has to open a jar” i can do that easily myself and if not there are tricks!

It's not literally about jars and tires. It's simply a code for "I am stronger than you". Men think they are better because they are physically stronger, and see women as inept, clumsy, childlike and unable to do anything by themselves.

Add to that the fact that pretty much every object in the world is produced using men as the standard for ergonomy and usability, which does make day to day life harder for women, and they think it's funny to see us struggle.

I'd argue you can incorporate elements, support your sisters in 4B (this means not defending your male partner or family), refuse to have children, and vow that if your current relationship doesn't work out you will join the ranks of 4B. Also, dump your boyfriend or husband if he either opposes 4B or voted Red. But you still aren't fully 4B. You can be allied with your sisters in the movement, but that also requires controlling your Pearl clutching at your sisters in 4B.

Maybe a bit of a controversial take, but I’m so sick of going into comment sections on posts and videos about the 4B movement to see women being like «my hubby bubby is sweet and nice tho 🥺🥺🥺» like well that’s great and all, but then this movement isn’t for or about you???

Nobody’s saying you have to get a divorce, or that your man specifically is bad, but you’re not a part of this movement if you’re married to a man.

Make a list of non-negotiables in your partner. I'm not joking either. Make a list of non-negotiables. Make a list of things you will not do for your partner with the following categories: Never-Dos, Will Not Do Before A Label, Will Not Do Before Rings, Will Not Do Without Marriage. Make a list of must haves and nice to haves as well as the inverse of must nots and should nots. If you want, break it down into categories of men: Male Friends, Men For Casual Dating, Men for Long Term Relationships, Husband Material. Don't even bother dating without building a solid network of platonic, mentorship, and familial relationships. Your familial relationships can absolutely be found family rather than blood, but ensure you have a strong social network foundation before getting into dating. Get comfortable being single, and if a man is having a negative affect on your quality of life rather than a positive one, drop him. Remember that men are on their best behavior for the first 3 months, and if there are problems before that, those problems will be significantly worse. Don't have fuck buddies, and if you do, don't develop feelings for your fuck buddies, and if you do, stop having sex with that fuck buddy. Do not chase these men. They are not worth it. The right men will work their ass off to be with you, and will do the work necessary to be with you if you call them on their shit and send them away to fix it. Do not be someone who's bar is in hell. These are grown ass adults and need to behave as such.

I sincerely don't want to get involved in the celibacy discourse but I will say this as a 35 year old bisexual woman. If you are a woman in your twenties who is attracted to men: Do not chase a man. Any man. Under any circumstances. He isn't special. There will be others. In chasing him, you will lose yourself.

unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.
