feedback is greatly appreciated 🥰

Two minutes after you open your laptop, a video call from Chan appears. A smile graces your lips as you answer it with no hesitation. It gets bigger when his face appears on screen.

“Hi, baby,” he smiles at the camera, his dark eyes checking every inch of your face.

It's been almost a month since the two of you have video chatted. Especially with Chan being busy with schedules.

“Hi, my baby,” you greet him, leaning your chin on the palms of your hand. “How are you?”

Chan leans back in his chair, releasing a hefty sigh. “It was okay. It was kinda busy, but it wasn't unbearable,” he mentions to you.

You pout, wishing you could give him a tight hug. “I'm sorry, baby. The good news is that you have your vacation coming up!” You attempt to cheer him up, wanting to relieve his stress a little.

“I do, yes! I'm super excited about it,” he tells you, clasping his hands together. “Speaking of vacations, I have a surprise.”

“What is it?” You ask him with wide eyes, watching him get up from his desk. Chan walks off the screen, and you're curious as to what his surprise is.

You tap your fingers on your cheek, hearing your phone vibrate against the desk. Before you have the chance to look at it, your boyfriend comes back on screen.

“Okay! So, I just sent you something,” he giggles, shaking the phone in his hand.

“I'm nervous,” you chuckle while grabbing your phone. You open Chan's text to see a link. You furrow your brows, quickly glancing at him before clicking the link.

Your jaw drops when you see a boarding pass in your name. A boarding pass that leads to South Korea. Your heart beats wildly against your chest as the surprise sets in.

“Chan…” you trail off, tears coming to your eyes. “Are you serious?”

He nods his head, a fond smile on his plump lips. “Of course, baby. It's been two years since I've had you in my arms. I have a week of vacation coming up, and now so do you. Come spend it with me,” Chan explains, his thumbs stroking the back of his hands.

You cover your mouth, holding in your sobs. “Of course I'll come spend it with you,” you tell him, tears slipping down your cheeks. “Oh my god. I can't believe this.”

“I can't wait to see you,” he smiles, running a hand through his hair. “I can't wait to kiss you.”

You playfully roll your eyes, recalling all the times he's told you how much he's missed kissing you. “Are you buying me a plane ticket just so you can kiss me?” You ask jokingly.

“You know it's not like that!” Chan groans, tilting his head back. “That's just a perk to being your boyfriend.”

“To kiss my lips?” You ask, poking your lips with your finger.

He winks, nodding his head. “You have really pretty lips, baby,” Chan smugly says, biting his lip.

“You know who also has pretty lips,” you mention, smirking at your computer screen. Chan hums in response, tilting his head. “You, baby.”

“Me!? No way,” he scoffs, bringing a hand to his lips to feel him.

You swear the first thing that you do when you see him is slap him. “Yes, you! Your lips are thick, baby. Nice and plump for me to kiss,” you smooch the air, chuckling afterward.

“You're crazy,” he huffs, shaking his head with a smile.

You rest against your hands again, feeling your heart flutter at the sight of him. “Crazy for you,” you smoothly compliment him.

“God, I should've made your flight date earlier,” he mumbles, his hand rubbing his chin. His eyes meet yours, and both of you stare quietly for a few moments. “I need you with me right now.”

You pout again. “I wish I could be there now, but soon enough, I'll be there,” You do your best to reassure him, making a heart with my hands.

He returns the heart, pouting also. “I'm counting down the days,” Chan whispers loud enough for you to hear.

~

Your heart is racing in your chest as you step out of the terminal. Your eyes are quickly looking around to find Chan. You stand on your toes, releasing a quiet gasp when you spot him.

“Baby!” You call out, not wanting to gain attention for shouting his name.

Chan hears your voice, quickly turning his head in your direction. The two of you run to each other, avoiding the other travelers around you.

You crash into him, wrapping your arms around his neck. Chan slides his hands across your lower back, pressing you against him. You hide your face in his neck, trying your best not to cry.

“My baby,” he whispers into your ear, rubbing your back gently.

Your fingers run through his hair, pressing light kisses on his neck. “I've missed you so much,” you cry out, gripping onto the hoodie he's wearing.

He pulls back so he can look at you, placing both hands on your cheeks. A few tears run down your cheeks, feeling Chan's thumb wipe them away.

“I've missed you too, baby,” he kisses your forehead.

You leaned on your toes, smashing your lips with his. “I love you,” you mumble into the kiss, petting his fluffy hair.

“I love you,” Chan says, stroking your cheeks.

You hug him tightly again, and the two of you start to sway back and forth. It felt really good to be in his arms again, especially after not seeing each other for two years.

“C'mon, there's a car waiting for us,” he mentions while rubbing your back.

You pull away from each other, and he instantly grabs your hand before leading you towards baggage claim to receive your luggage.

There's a comfortable silence between you both as you walk through the airport. You look at everything around you, trying to spot if you see any words you might recognize from your Korean lessons.

You bite your lip in disappointment, not being able to recognize anything. You rest your head against Chan's arm, squeezing his hand as you take the escalator down to the first floor.

“My Korean lessons aren't helping me,” you pout at him, tilting your head back to look at him.

He giggles while stroking the back of your hand, meeting your gaze. “No? Why do you say that?” He asks, both of you stepping off the escalator. “Whenever we try to converse in Korean, it sounds good!”

“Yeah, but I can't read anything,” you huff out, releasing your own giggle.

Chan leans forward and presses a gentle kiss on the top of your head. “Don't worry, baby, I'll read it for you. You just stand here and look pretty,” he taps your nose before going to grab your suitcase.

“When did you get so smooth?” You ask him, biting your lip again as you go to follow him.

He comes back with your suitcase, a shit-eating grin on his face. “Ever since I laid my eyes on you. I'm just really excited that you're here,” Chan mentions, grabbing a hold of your hand again. “Now, let's go get you something to eat.”

“it’s too big, channie,” you whimper, peering down between your legs— the big fat tip of chan’s cock throbs an angry red as he slides it up between your pussy lips, taps it against your fluttering hole. your ankles dangle in the air over his shoulders, thighs pushed up to your chest by his body pinning you against the mattress, so close you could feel his hot breath, ache for a kiss from the plump, spit-slick lips he bit in arousal. he grips the base of his shaft in one hand, guiding it to push at your rim; you’re frightened by the sheer size of it, thick as a can, veins fat and pulsing… the pressure of it was already overwhelming yet you roll your hips down eagerly, desperate for it to slide in and fill you up.

“shh, stay still, babygirl,” chan coos so sweet, his veiny hand splayed out across your tummy. “and take this fucking cock. daddy knows you can.”

your pussy is making it difficult, so wet chan’s cock misses your hole, slides up your folds to bump against your clit. you shake in pleasure and frustration, reaching your hand down to take ahold of chan’s cock yourself— chan lets you with a warm smile, his thick arms shaking with every slick twist of your hand.

“you need me that bad, baby?” he chuckles, breathless. “thought you said it was too big.”

“i’m so empty,” you whine in response, angling his flared head to spear your core. “need your big cock, daddy—“ finally, finally his tip catches and slides in, sudden yet so achingly slow, your eyes rolling back in tandem with chan’s deep, guttural groan; the stretch burns deliciously, clouds over your senses as your mouth drops open in a moan for more.

“there you go, baby, just like that,” chan continues to bully his cock in past your tight rim, slow and gentle— but there’s nothing gentle about the way he fills you up, inch by fat, throbbing inch stretching your wet gummy walls to their limits. you can feel every ridge, every vein drag hot and heavy… you let go of his shaft in favor for scratching deep red marks into his flexing bicep, scrambling for something to hold on to and ground you. “daddy’s good girl, taking his cock so well— feels so good, doesn’t it?”

“b-big—!” you croak in a daze, an echo of your earlier sentiments; it was all you could manage to make yourself say, rendered brainless in an instant as chan’s blunt cockhead kisses your cervix. “so— so fucking big! ‘n deep, daddy, fuck—“

“yeah?” chan huffs, hips stuttering flush against yours. “am i too big for your little cunt, baby? feel me all the way up here?”

he presses down on the bulge his cock makes in your belly, causing the both of you to keen, your little dripping pussy fluttering around his cock as he twitches inside of you; you desperately want him to move, start pounding your pussy like you’ve been wanting so, so badly… you eagerly nod at chan’s teasing words, buck your hips the best you can folded in half. “yes, yes!” you wail, voice slurred, “give it to me daddy, please!”

“you’re so pretty when you’re begging for me, angel,” chan grins crookedly, pulling his hips back to slide himself out of your hole. you hold your breath in wicked anticipation. “beg some more and i’ll give you what you need.”

“hyung, what the hell?” changbin bursted through the studio door, earning a groan from chan.

“why would you send y/n to the studio when you know we have a deadline by the end of the week, changbin? I’m not a little kid that needs to be coddled, and I definitely do not have the time for anymore interruptions.” chan grumbled, not once looking away from the computer screen in front of him.

“hyung, you can’t keep working like this, you know it’s not doing you any good,” he scolded. “and whatever you said to y/n, you better apologize soon. I’ve never seen her look so distraught.” he sighed.

chan sighed too, feeling guilty for sending you away so abruptly.

“and I know you aren’t great at keeping track of time, but do you really think it was a good idea to send y/n to walk home after sundown and without their jacket at that?” changbin said, pointing to your long-forgotten jacket sitting on the studio couch.

the guilt chan felt was immediately replaced by a deep sense of panic as he thought about you walking home in the dark of the night completely exposed to the elements and without him there to keep you safe. he scrambled out of his seat for the first time all day, grabbing your jacket and the food you made.

“you don’t even have to ask. me and jisung will wrap up whatever you’ve got, just trust us.” changbin smiled, moving out of the frame of the door so chan could leave. he thanked him quickly before rushing out, hoping you hadn’t gotten too far away from the building just yet.

the cold air that greeted him as he ran out immediately made his heart sink. he hurried towards the direction of your apartment, calling you as he ran. his worry only grew as his calls all immediately went to voicemail. it had grown completely dark around him and you were nowhere to be found. the panic made him sick to his stomach, but he kept looking around frantically for you. he called your name loudly, earning a few strange looks from the people he passed but he could care less; his only concern right now was you.

♡♡♡

the reason chan couldn’t find you right now was because you didn’t head home. you knew he would come to his senses in no time—he was always the sensitive type, picking up on his mistakes quickly and apologizing equally as fast. but you needed to be alone to process your feelings, so instead of going where you knew he’d go first, you walked yourself to the place you’d planned on going with him—the han river park. you sighed, walking into a convenience store and grabbing yourself a hot drink. you paid for it quickly before sitting down at a bench, trying to brave the cold wind biting at your face. it was a lot better a little while ago, when you wanted to come here and walk with chan. but those plans were far gone.

“what’s a pretty girl like yourself doing here so late?” a voice asked you. you looked up and were met with an older man, he looked unkempt, patchy stubble covering his face as he swung around a brown-toned beer bottle. you gulped, not knowing how to reply.

“I’m fucking talking to you, answer me!” he spat angrily, going to grab your wrist. you yelped moving away from the man, terrified and still unsure of what to do. he was taller than you and could easily overtake you if you tried to run. you shook as he kept screaming at you; whatever he had in strength, he lacked in motor functions, making it incredibly easy for you to dodge him as he chased after you in the little space around the bench.

“y/n! oh thank god, I was so worried!” chan yelled as you ran over to him.

“help.” you whispered as you both noticed the drunk man plod over to where you were. chan wrapped your jacket around your shoulders and hugged you reassuringly before pushing you behind him.

“and who’s this? I just asked why you were alone so late, baby, you didn’t need to involved your friend here.” he slurred, trying to dodge chan to talk to you.

“boyfriend. she was waiting for me so do us all a favor and leave us the hell alone before I have to call the police.” he said, clearly trying to keep his rage at bay. the man muttered a few cusses under his breath before relenting, making both you and chan take a breath of relief.

“let’s go home,” he turned to face you. “we have a lot to talk about.” he said with an apologetic smile on his face. you only nodded as you began to walk beside him.

you walked in silence for a while, waiting for chan to inevitably burst in profuse apologies at any given moment.

“I’m so sorry, my love. I didn’t mean anything I said. you’re not clingy and there’s nothing in the world I appreciate more than the attention you pay in making sure I take care of myself,” he stopped walking to look you in the eyes. “and I couldn’t be more lucky to have someone like you who’s always looking out for me and worrying about my well-being. there’s no excuse for the way I reacted today but I hope you know that I regret it so much and I’ll do everything I can to make sure it doesn’t happen again.” he finished talking, every single word he said dripping with sincerity.

“thank you. I get that you’re busy, but we should both working on seeing things from the other’s perspectives going forward, okay?” you said, earning a nod from chan.

“Am I forgiven?” he asked meekly. you nod enthusiastically. “I love you.” he grinned.

“I love you, too.” you replied with a chuckle.

“can we hold hands now?” he asked, wiggling his eyebrows playfully. you reached out your hand for his, letting him intertwine his finger with yours. he pulled your connected hands towards him, forcing you closer to him as you walked home, safe and content in each other’s presence. he leaned in, pressing a kiss to your cheek.

“I’m gonna inhale all of the pumpkin porridge when we get home.” he whispered as he pulled away, making you burst into a fit of laughter.

lino

"I’m going to give it to you straight; the cut in your hand is quite deep and you’ll need stitches,” the doctor told you as she put pressure on your wound to maintain the bleeding. “you’re absolutely sure you don’t want your guardian here? not to alarm you, but it’ll be hard to do anything, especially because you said this is your dominant hand.” she asked, clearly concerned for you.

“I’m sure, doctor.” you said with a nod.

“I understand. I will proceed since you’re losing a lot of blood and I want this situation under control as soon as possible, but I believe it’s in your best interest to call someone, even if it’s not your guardian, to handle the paperwork since you won’t be able to write.” she said firmly. you nodded, giving her the okay to stitch the cut in your hand. the doctor finished stitching in no time and dressed your wound as well, giving you careful instructions so you would be able to do it yourself at home. she left soon after, reminding you about the paperwork you need to have completed. you called chan, knowing it was his day off and he’d pick up.

“hey y/n, wasn’t expecting a call from you, what’s up?” he asked immediately.

“I know it’s your day off and I feel so terrible for asking, but could you come to the hospital? It’s nothing crazy but I need someone to fill out some paperwork for me.” you informed him, trying to sound nonchalant so as to not stress him out.

“hospital? what’s wrong? are you sick or hurt?” he bombarded you with questions. “and why are you calling me and not minho? did you guys fight?” he finally asked suspiciously.

“it’s a long story and I’m so tired, chris. can you please come? or send someone else if you’re busy,” you pause before adding, “but not minho. we’re not in a good place right now.” you sighed, leaning back in your chair.

“okay, I’ll be there in fifteen. but you have to tell me everything when I get there, okay?” he relented, making you agree before hanging up.

chan showed up soon after, finding you quickly in the emergency room with all of your paperwork in his hands.

“so you hurt yourself.” he said to himself, getting closer to you to inspect the damage.

“yeah.” you whispered, gently tugging your hand away from him, embarrassed.

“okay spill before I start jumping to conclusions. the last thing I want to do is assume anything about either one of you.” he said with heavy concern in his tone.

you recapped the whole night to him, everything from lino pushing you off of him to him treating you like a clingy, helpless child to how the cut happened in the first place. chan listened diligently, offering hums of understanding as he filled out your paperwork.

“I can talk to him for you if you want, y/n. this is a tough situation for both of you, I could knock some sense in to him.” he suggested softly.

“thanks for the offer, but I’m not reaching out first through you. he fucked up, he needs to figure that out on his own terms.” you paused, letting out a deep breath. “and I’m kind of embarrassed by all of this and I don’t need him rubbing it in my face, especially after everything from tonight. promise me you won’t tell him?”

“y/n—”

“chris, please. just this once. if you tell him, he’ll rush over and I already feel so stupid because of what happened earlier. I don’t want to face him right now.” you pleaded with him.

he was quiet for a while as he filled out the last section of the paper work. he released a deep breath he had unknowingly been holding in before finally agreeing. “I’ll stay out of it because you want me to, y/n. but the offer stands in case you change your time at any point. I care about both of you,” he patted your back reassuringly. “now, let’s get you home.” he said, getting up.

he drove you home in silence, insisting he should drive since your hand’s hurt. you fought sleep the entire way back; it was already 2 a.m. and you were beyond exhausted.

“hey, we’re here.” you heard chan say as he shook your arm. you shot up out of your sleepiness, heading towards your home with chan following.

“I’m gonna help you change the bandages and then leave, okay?” he told you as you unlocked your apartment door. you nodded, yawning. you felt a touch of disappointment as you walked in, seeing the still-shattered vase on the ground as well as a little, dried up pool of your blood, meaning lino really hadn’t come home.

chan didn’t let you think about it for too long though, as he cleaned and dressed your wound quickly before letting you off to wash up and go to sleep.

“I’m gonna clean up the rest of the vase and then head home. but call me if you need anything, y/n. I don’t sleep till late into the night and you only live 5 minutes away so don’t feel bad.” he reassured you. “now go to sleep, I’ll see you later.” he shooed you away. you didn’t fight him, too exhausted to say much more than a “thank you.”

♡♡♡

the next morning, you felt terrible; this time, not just emotionally, but physically as well. the numbing cream from the stitches had worn off entirely, making your entire hand pulse in pain. you rummaged through your medicine cabinet looking for ibuprofen. you groaned in frustration trying to open the little twist cap of the bottle with your one hand with no success. you gave up after a few tries, sitting down on your kitchen floor and letting out a small scream you’d held in for too long. you were hurting on so many different levels and you began to truly feel like you were just a needy, clingy child. you couldn’t even open a fucking pill bottle or change your own bandages by yourself, so what the hell does that make you other than pathetic?

you started crying. what else could you do? you felt so incapable of even the most basic tasks and despite chan’s kind offer to help you being there, you felt too awful to ask him for more help. so you would just have to endure your pain. you stayed like that for another half an hour, taking deep breaths to distract yourself from it.

“y/n? where are you? baby?” you heard lino calling for you as he quickly searched your small apartment.

you wiped your tears quickly, scrambling up and hiding your hand behind your back. you heard his steps growing closer and in no time, he was standing in front of you. you kept your gaze down, still upset and embarrassed.

“good morning, he said, wrapping his arms around you before you got a chance to protest. his arm put pressure on your wound, making you hiss in pain loudly. you pushed him off, tears glazing your eyes as a reflex.

“what–what’s the matter? is this about last night? I know we still have to talk about it but I just missed—” his words trailed off as he finally noticed you holding your hand behind you. “y/n, what’s wrong? did something happen to your hand?” he asked, his voice dripping with concern. he walked closer to you, making you immediately stumble backwards, trying to get away from his touch. the hurt in his eyes was palpable, making your heart hurt too.

“I’m okay.” you mumbled quietly, still not looking up to meet his eyes.

“I don’t believe you,” he said back. “at least look at me, baby, hm?” he gently coaxed you.

you took a deep breath, before looking into his eyes. he looked exhausted, obvious pain relief patches on the back of his neck and peeking out from under his shirt and dark circles around his eyes. and the way he frowned when you made eye contact told you you didn’t look much better. you relaxed inadvertently under his soft gaze; but you relaxed a little too much, revealing part of your bandaged hand to him.

"show me your hand?” he asked. he was well-aware of the atmosphere he’d created last night and so he didn’t push like he normally would’ve. the last thing he wanted to do was add insult to injury now.

“I’m really fine. could you just open the pain meds for me?” you asked, wincing in pain every time your hand moved. he did as you asked without hesitation, pouring you a cup of water and opening the bottle of pills. you took the meds wordlessly, finally thanking him before walking out of the kitchen. he followed you out like a lost puppy, finally catching a glimpse of your entire hand.

“you have to change the bandages, don’t you? let me do it.” he quickly said when he noticed you unwrapping the ones from last night. you wanted to protest, but you knew it would be less painless if someone else did it for you. you let him do it without putting up a fight.

“this will sting, squeeze my arm if it’s too much,” he said, kneeling on the ground as you sat on the couch. he wiped the wound effectively and as quickly as possible, wincing when you whimpered as if he was the one in pain. “good, you did good, baby.” he smiled gently. he put on some ointment and wrapped your hand up in new bandages.

“now let’s talk. what happened?” he questioned.

“I think we need to talk about what happened before first,” you muttered. “you really hurt me, you know?” your voice wavered as you held back tears. despite everything that’s happened in the short time, the wounds on your heart were still fresh, just as fresh as the one in your palm.

“I was just so tired and the guys kept messing up and they weren’t taking practice seriously,” he sighed. “ but I know it’s no excuse. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you, I’m sorry.” he played with his fingers, keeping his head down and not looking at you.

“I know you are, but,” you gulped. “I can’t help but feel like you meant it all. am I really too clingy? do I act desperate for your attention? do you take care of me because you want to or because you feel like you have to?” you looked away, not wanting to show lino there were tears spilling down your face. neither one of you said anything for a few minutes. the silence started chipping away at your heart, confirming your concerns.

that was until you heard sniffles coming from next to you. you turned to look at him and sure enough, he was looking down with little tear drop marks littering the fabric of his pants. “I can’t believe I made you feel like that,” his voice cracked. “I’m so sorry, baby. I don’t deserve you at all.” he choked back a sob, now turning his face the other way so you couldn’t see him cry.

“don’t say that,” you cried. “you hurt me, that doesn’t change the fact that I love you.”

“I love you, too.” he sniffled, closing the space between you and kissing you messily. you both giggled into the kiss, laughing at the absurdity of it all. you pulled away after a while but stayed stuck to each other’s sides, him carefully adjusting so you could put your hand down on his leg comfortably. after a moment, you spoke.

“did chan send you?” you mumbled against his chest.

“said I’d lose the love of my life if I don’t get my shit together,” he chuckled. “he has such a way with words.” you both laughed, snuggling closer.

changbin

you were freezing as you walked into your apartment. it hadn’t been this quiet in years; without changbin’s naturally loud voice ringing throughout your home, it was almost uncomfortably silent. you stripped out of your soaking wet clothes right there in your living room, not wanting to trail water around. you were exhausted suddenly, the emotional exhaustion had quickly manifested into physical exhaustion and you sighed deeply. you didn’t even bother to shower, just wiping yourself down and drying your hair before falling into your bed. despite being under the duvet, you shivered the entire night. you chalked it up to not being used to sleeping without changbin next to you.

something you’d have to get used to now that he didn’t want you anymore.

you couldn’t even bring yourself to cry; you’d spent the entire walk back home sobbing your heart out and now you had no more tears in you. you just sighed, tossing and turning before sleep finally overtook you.

you woke up the next morning still shivering. you had taken the day off because you thought your date with changbin would run really late but here you were, spending a day off mourning your relationship. you felt terrible, your head pounding and your throat hoarse. you knew you should probably check your temperature, but since you were always the one getting sick, only changbin really knew where it was because he would constantly misplace it.

you ignored how sick you felt and got to work. the quicker you got rid of changbin’s things, the less time you’d have to spend lingering in the hurt. and so you packed up years of what you thought would be a forever relationship into a bin and a suitcase. your apartment felt hollow now, like it was missing changbin just as much as you were. no more healthy meals prepackaged in the fridge, no more cute sticky notes filled with “I loves yous” stuck on the fridge, no more anniversary polaroids or vulnerable letters or musky cologne on black t-shirts or souvenirs from different tour stops; you packed them all up and put them into your trunk with a handwritten note tucked into the lid.

you’d be lying if you said you didn’t cry a little bit; just when you thought you had cried it all out, another set of fresh tears arose. a part of you wished he’d called and apologized right after, told you it was a misunderstanding and that he didn’t mean any of it. but it had been an entire night and morning with no call or text; you had no choice but to accept that the love of your life simply couldn’t handle you anymore.

you coughed violently as you felt a cold shiver run through your body. you didn’t have time to be sick right now; wasn’t it enough that you were an emotional wreck? you ignored it once more before driving off to the dorms. you arrived quickly and knocked on the door, praying you wouldn’t have to face changbin in your condition.

“y/n! it’s good to see you after so long, we’ve missed you,” you were greeted warmly by hyunjin. “are you coming in? changbin hyung’s not home but he should be home pretty soon.” he smiled.

you took a deep breath and mustered up a smile. “I’ve missed you guys, too” you sniffled and coughed a little. “but I’m not feeling too great right now. I’m just dropping off changbin’s stuff for him.”

hyunjin looked at you with concerned eyes. “why are you dropping off all of his things, y/n? did something happen between you two?”

“you should hear it from him. I’ll see you around, hyunjin.” you smiled at him again, turning around and leaving before he got a chance to protest.

♡♡♡

when changbin got back to the dorms, he was first met with a very snarky hyunjin. and then he was met with boxes and a suitcase on the living room floor.

“going somewhere?” he asked hyunjin with genuine interest.

hyunjin rolled his eyes as soon as he asked. “y/n came over.”

“did she pester you? she’s been needing a lot of attention lately, it’s getting to be a lot.” he sighed.

“hyung, I don’t know what you told y/n but she came over sick as hell and said she was dropping off your stuff.”

“w-what?”

hyunjin just shrugged. “I’ll give you some privacy, you should probably look through the stuff, see what’s up.”

changbin carried the boxes into his room, wasting no time to go through them. it didn’t take long for him to realize it was virtually every shred of your relationship stuffed together. when he said everything he said, it was purely out of frustration; he knew he was being selfish by prioritizing his time with the boys over spending time with you. he felt his heart break at you taking his words of annoyance at face value and it just about completely shattered once he found your note.

to my love,

even if this is how it really ends, I’m grateful for what we had. even if I had known that it would end like this, I would do it all over again with you in a heartbeat. I’m sorry for all of my shortcomings getting in the way. I hope you find love and happiness with someone who loves you the way you want them to.

yours always,

y/n

it was a short note, but it hurt changbin like someone had started taking blind punches to his heart. he sat in front of the boxes, stunned. he wiped his face, suddenly becoming aware of the tears covering his cheeks. after spending another while like that taking in the reality of it all, he scurried up from his seat on the ground, looking frantically for his phone to call you. every single one of his calls went straight to voicemail, his texts left on delivered like he’d done to you just the night prior. he’s reminded of hyunjin’s mention that you were sick, which only made him feel worse. he got up and ran out of the door, not even bothering to throw on a jacket or let hyunjin know he was headed out. he had to apologize to you before it was too late.

♡♡♡

the shivering had only gotten worse since you’d gotten home. your temperature had risen significantly and you couldn’t even muster up the energy to get up and make something to eat, not that you had much of an appetite, anyway. being soaked to the bone the night before had really done a number on you and being this sick only made you miss changbin more. he was always so good about taking care of you when you weren’t feeling well, constantly checking your temperature and wiping your forehead with a damp towel to lower it. he was always diligent about making sure you ate properly and took your medicine on time so your body could recover faster, too. and he knew you loved being held when you were under the weather so he would cuddle you despite your protests and the risk of him getting sick himself. your heart ached as you thought of how the affection from him you cherished so much was the very reason he broke up with you, making you tear up yet again. you were so weak that you fell asleep just like that, exhausted and heartbroken.

you woke up when you heard the sound of the front door slam shut. you shot up out of bed, making you grow dizzy immediately. you shook your head to rid yourself of the dizziness before forcing yourself out of bed. you took a deep breath before mustering up the strength to walk out to where the noise had come from. you steadied yourself by trailing your hand against the wall as you walked to the living room, growing more and more woozy as you kept going.

“y/n,” changbin said as he saw you turn the corner. “hey, come on, sit here.” he said, noticing your lack of balance and guiding you to the sofa.

“did I forget to pack something?” you asked weakly, leaning your head back as another shiver overtook you.

“no, no. y/n, I didn’t mean any of that last night. it’s stupid but I just wanted to spend time with the boys. I never meant to hurt you,” he gulped. “or break up with you. I’m so sorry, my love,” he said, running a hand against your cheek. “oh my god, baby, you’re burning up.” he said, shocked. he disappeared into the kitchen before rushing back to you.

“hyunjin told me you looked sick when you came by so I brought some hot pear tea and porridge. eat and then take this,” he handed over some cold syrup already measured out for you. “we’ll talk afterwards, okay?” you only hummed in response, making him frown. he could tell you had waited too long to take care of yourself, which meant you didn’t have the energy to do much of anything. he sat down next to you, grabbing the porridge and gathering a spoon of it. “open your mouth, baby. you have to eat if you want to feel better.” you didn’t have it in you to protest, simply doing as he said and letting him feed you. you ate and took your medicine in silence before falling back asleep.

♡♡♡

you woke up hours later in complete darkness and on your bed. you shuffled a little in an attempt to get up, but you soon realized you were weighed down by a familiar arm spread across you and cradling your head against their chest. you gulped, debating whether or not to confront changbin right now or to just indulge in the feeling of comfort he gives you. but the voice that came alive next to you forced you to choose the latter,

“you awake, baby?” he mumbled before resting the back of his hand on your forehead. “your fever broke, thank god.” he sighed a breath of relief, before stretching over to turn the bedside table lamp on.

“thank you for taking care of me,” you said softly, “but I think you should go.” you looked away as you said the words.

“y/n, look at me,” he gently pulled your chin so you could be facing him, “do you really want me to go?” he whispered, vulnerability pouring out with each word.

you stayed silent for a long moment before finally reciprocating his vulnerability. “you broke up with me out of nowhere,” you sighed shakily, looking away from him again so he wouldn’t see your eyes filling with tears, “and then left me to feel heartbroken and alone all of last night and this morning. even if I wanted you to stay, I owe it to myself to ask you to leave, at least.” you said, trying to sound firm in your decision.

changbin stirred out of bed immediately, making a panic spread through you. was he really going to give up on you so easily? you knew he wasn’t the type to simply let go of something (or someone) simply because he was asked to. you were relieved though, when he reached for your hand and lead you to the edge of your bed, making you sit up. he kneeled in front of you, hugging your legs and holding your hand tightly.

“I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for hurting you and for leaving you hanging and for not showing up to our first date in a long time for such a stupid reason. but y/n, I love you. so much. even when I say stupid things and make bad decisions and accidentally hurt you, I love you. and I don’t want to live my life with anyone else but you by my side.” he said with full sincerity, squeezing your hand as his eyes glazed over.

your eyes mirrored his, and you could feel your resolve completely shatter as you looked down at him. “god, you’re the worst,” you chuckled incredulously as your eyes glazed over, “but I love you, too. too much for my own good.” you sighed, looking up and smiling a little.

“let me make it up to you?” he asked you sweetly, standing up with his hand still holding yours. you stood up with him, intrigued, “no, baby, you sit down and close your eyes, okay?”

you nodded, shutting your eyes tightly as soon as he asked you to. you heard some shuffling before you felt changbin’s presence in front of you again.

“okay, open your eyes.” he said softly. you’re met with changbin kneeling in front of you once again, this time on one knee and with a ring box in his hand. he opened it and asked the question.

“I was going to wait to do this. I wanted to plan something big and extravagant and make it a whole thing, but now feels so right. because I don’t ever want you to doubt my intentions with you, with this relationship. I want you, for the rest of our lives, y/n. will you marry me?” he asked sheepishly.

you answered yes so quickly you surprised yourself a little, wrapping your arms around changbin with tears, this time, happy ones, pooling in both of your eyes.

“oh, one more thing,” he said, rushing out of the room and coming back with a very obviously homemade cake. it read “sorry…also marry me?” on the top in pink frosting, making you snort in laughter.

“that would’ve been really awkward if I didn’t forgive you for last night, huh?” you chuckled, making changbin nudge you before he joined you in laughter.

hyunjin

after reassuring felix a million times that you were fine, you finally started walking home. you decided to take the long way, wanting to empty your thoughts and enjoy the crisp winter air surrounding you.

your cheeks were still hot from the humiliation you’d faced just a few moments ago and you couldn’t help but replay the moment again and again. how could hyunjin say those things to you? when you regularly adjusted your own schedule to spend quality time with him and his best friends? the more you thought about it, the more it pissed you off.

you scoffed a little to yourself, quietly cursing at hyunjin in your mind when you notice you’re just short of a block away from one of your favorite cafes. it was one you went to a lot to study at before you moved away and closer to the heart of the city. you walked in, silently hoping your old friends that used to work there still do.

“y/n! oh my god, how long has it been? lia, y/n’s here!” your old friend, yeji, yelled across the cafe. in just a few moments, the store was adorned with a closed sign as your friends sat around you with fresh hot chocolates.

“won’t you guys lose business if you close up so early? won’t your boss be mad?” you asked them, sipping the drink in front of you.

“it’s winter break and all the college kids went home, we have no business!” yuna chuckled. “as for the boss, well…”

“you’re looking at her!” yeji announced cheerily. “we have a lot to catch up on, dude.” she giggled.

♡♡♡

you and the girls spent hours chatting, catching each other up on your lives and all the things you’d all been doing. you had completely forgotten about your earlier clash with hyunjin, letting yourself enjoy the company of your friends after so long. you absentmindedly flip your phone over to check the screen, only then noticing the numerous phone calls and texts you’d gotten from hyunjin as well as the others. you excuse yourself, walking away to call felix back first, not wanting to deal with confronting hyunjin right now.

“y/n! are you okay? you never let anyone know whether you’d gotten home safely and hyunjin said you weren’t home when he went to your place. where are you? we were about to call the police! dear god…” he rambled in a panic.

“ah, I’m so sorry lix—I wanted to get some air so I took the long way home and ended up at the cafe across from my old college. all the girls just happened to work tonight so we were catching up.” you explained, apologizing profusely.

“thank god, I’m just glad you’re okay. I’m sure hyunjin’s relieved, it looked like there were two rivers pouring out of his eyes earlier.” he laughed, sighing a breath of relief.

“I…haven’t called him yet.” you said hesitantly.

“y/n! call him now!” he scolded loudly, making you flinch.

“okay, okay! bye.” you grumbled, hanging up promptly. you called hyunjin right after, figuring you should just tell him you were on your way home to talk so he’d stop worrying. he picked up right away.

“are you okay? where are you? I’m so sorry, baby, please tell me you’re not hurt.” hyunjin cried into the phone, making your heart ache a little.

“I’m fine. I’ll be home soon.” you mumbled softly.

“where are you? it’s late, I’ll come to you.” you heard him shuffling.

“it’s okay—”

“y/n, I’m coming. where are you, love?” he said gently, sniffling a little.

“at the cafe across from my old college.” you said meekly.

“the one we had our first date at?” you could hear the fond smile spreading across his face at the memory.

“yeah. see you then.” you said quickly, hanging up abruptly. as much as you wanted to take the walk down memory lane with him, you were still hurt by the way he’d treated you earlier that night, and that hurt wasn’t going to be mended by a simple memory.

“everything alright?” ryujin came over, putting a hand on your shoulder.

“yeah, it was hyunjin,” she looked at you expectantly, knowing there was something more there, “we had a fight. it was one-sided though, all him,” you sighed. “he’s coming to pick me up, though.”

“you live like a 20 minute walk away, right? sit down and spill.” she dragged you back to your seat, quickly letting the others know what was up while you waited.

♡♡♡

“oh my god, I’m gonna kill him!” chaeryeong yelled, getting up from her seat and stomping.

“relax, chaer! they spent the whole evening here without telling him where they were so I’m sure hyunjin got a taste of his own medicine.” yuna chuckled.

“stop,” you whined, “I already feel bad enough.” you pouted at her.

she rolled her eyes before abruptly tapping your shoulder. “your boyfriend’s here.”

you saw him wave through the glass awkwardly. you got up and were immediately engulfed in a hug by all the girls.

“we’re always here for you, y/n. don’t forget to come visit sometimes.” yeji said into the hug, earning a nod from you.

“and I’ll actually kill him if he hurts your feelings again.” chaeryeong mumbled.

you just chuckled, letting them go and waving goodbye before heading out to go home with hyunjin.

“hey.” he said awkwardly. you said nothing, immediately walking in the direction of your home and catching hyunjin off guard. he caught up quickly though (curse his long ass legs) and followed next to you.

“baby, we need to talk.” he sighed.

“I have nothing to say.” you said coldly, still looking straight ahead.

“y/n, I was so worried!” he yelled, exasperated. you both stopped walking, realizing this was going to happen now or never.

“it’s one thing that you hate having me around your friends but what, now I can’t even hang out with my friends, hyunjin? fuck off!” you yelled back. even though you knew you were in the wrong for not letting him know you got home safely, it wasn’t fair, the whole situation wasn’t fair.

“you know that’s not fair y/n!” he said, as if he could read your mind.

“you know what isn’t fair, hyunjin? the fact that I put so much effort into spending this one night out of the month with you and your friends to show you I care about the things and people you love only to have you throw it back in my face and treat me like utter shit in front of them!”  your voice broke, making you immediately turn your head so hyunjin wouldn’t see you getting emotional.

he didn’t hesitate at all, immediately wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into a tight embrace. you didn’t attempt to pull away; you needed the comfort and hyunjin knew what you needed even better than you did.

“I’m so sorry, baby,” he sighed, burying his face into the crook of your neck, “would you believe me if I said I was jealous?” he admitted, hiding even further into your neck.

“of what?” you questioned. there was a short pause before you answered for him, “of felix?”

“mhmm” he hummed. he pulled himself off of you and looked at anywhere but you, “I don’t know…I guess I didn’t like that you were telling him everything that was going on in your life before you even told me, you know? I want to be the first person you want to talk to about everything.” he said sheepishly, clearly embarrassed to be saying something so vulnerable.

“hyune, you could’ve just told me that instead of humiliating me in front of your friends.” you said gently, not wanting to make him feel judged.

“I know. and I really am sorry baby, I shouldn’t have taken out my frustration on you.” he sighed, looking down and fidgeting with his fingers.

“I forgive you. but you do it one more time and we’re over, got it?” you said firmly, making sure he knew you were serious.

“it won’t happen ever again, I swear on my life.” he finally met your eyes to show you his sincerity.

you smiled, reaching your hand out for his. you held each other’s hands and he tucked your intertwined hands in his coat pocket as you continued your walk home, “now you wanna hear what the girls are up to?”

“you know I do.” he grinned.

“well for starters, you’re definitely on chaer’s hit list.”

“w-what?”

Stupid In Love

You park in front of your house, the lights are on, your fiance is home. He's home and he stood you up. You're mad but mostly you're sad, you're overwhelmed and so tired, exhausted, actually.

You enter the house, hearing sounds in the kitchen, you don't even want to look at him right now. You want to yell at him, argue but you don't even have the energy to do that, so you just take your shoes off, leaving your coat hanging by the door and walking silently to the stairs so you can go to your room, wash up and just sleep until morning comes and you can pretend this day never happened.

“You're home?” You hear Changbin's voice as soon as you go up the first step to the second floor.

“Yes”, you say, continuing to go up.

You hear his footsteps coming after you, but you don't stop, you want to close the door right on his face.

“I ordered food”, he says again, confused as to why you didn't kiss him when you arrived or why you're not looking at him.

“I'm not hungry”, you say simply, stopping in front of the mirror to take your jewelry off. You give up on the idea of closing the door on his face, you don't want to hurt him even though you're furious. You take off your earrings, watching him through the reflection of the mirror. He's looking at you with a frown on his face, trying to figure out why you're angry, he's sure he didn't do anything this time.

“Are you mad?” He asks, naively.

“What do you think?” You ask back, glaring at his reflection.

“I think you are”, he pouts.

“Then you already have your answer”, you say, finishing taking the bracelets and rings off your fingers.

You turn around, walking past him and going to the bathroom to wash up, hearing his footsteps after you again. You sigh, why won't he leave you alone?

“I'm not sure what I did wrong this time”, Changbin clarifies, trying to make you tell him what's wrong.

You laugh, looking to the ceiling and trying to calm down. Turning to look at him and leaning on the bathroom counter, looking at your fiance with your arms crossed in front of your chest.

“I really don't know if I should feel less angry that you genuinely forgot about our cake tasting today and not just chose to ignore what I've been planning for months”, you say through gritted teeth, watching the panic form on the face of the man in front of you.

“I-it was today?” He stutters, patting his pants to find his phone and check on his agenda just to find the event he had scheduled on his calendar to be exactly today. “I didn't mean it”, he says, running his hand through his hair. “I had so many meetings today, I just got home”, he explains.

“I guess your work will always be your top priority”, you scoff, feeling tears starting to brim on your eyes.

“Don't be like that”, Changbin sighs, “you know you are my top priority but I'm not just an employee, I'm the CEO”, he pleads, you know that and you're so tired of that.

“I'm well aware of your position in the company”, you laugh, rolling your eyes. “That’s why I never say anything when you come home late or when I'm all ready for a date and you have to reschedule it because something came up”, you sigh, “I only asked this one thing of you: that you show up when we have something related to the wedding but you couldn't even do that for me”, you cry out, feeling the tears running out of your eyes.

“You're talking like I did this on purpose”, he murmurs, hurt showing in his eyes.

“I'm not saying this to make you feel guilty”, you run your hands through your hair, “you don't know how humiliating it was to wait for you there for three hours, Ryujin and my mom told me to reschedule but I told them that you were going to show up”, you take a deep breath, “jokes on me, I guess I'm the only one who cares about this fucking wedding”

“You're not the only one who cares”. He says with his voice a pitch higher, it happens when he gets nervous. “I'm trying to clean my schedule so we can go on our honeymoon without me having to worry about work. I have so many meetings every day and I have to pass all the work to my secretary so nothing goes wrong while I'm away”

“Maybe we shouldn't be doing this”, you whisper, putting your hands on your sides and squeezing the fabric of your shirt.

“Are you being for real?” He asks, incredulous, anger and resentment flooding his mind.

You regretted saying it the moment the sentence left your mouth, but unfortunately you can't unsay something, all the more something so hurtful as that.

“I-” you step closer to him, but Changbin steps back, shaking his head.

“I need to think”, he turns to the door, walking away and leaving you behind.

You're such an idiot, how could you say that to him? It doesn't matter how angry you are, there's no excuse to hurt someone you love like that. You feel the tears falling down your eyes while your knees give in and you fall on the floor, crying your eyes out. Did you ruin everything? Is he going to call off the wedding? Is he sick of you now?

Hours go by, you walk back and forth in the house, waiting for his car to park in front of the house but it doesn't come, he doesn't show up. Did he leave you? You should expect that much after what you said.

You lie down on your bed, hugging his pillow, feeling his scent and crying until the exhaustion from the day makes you fall asleep.

You're awake with rustling in the room, you open your eyes widely, seeing Changbin packing. Oh, he's leaving you already? Without even trying to talk?

You feel your tears showing up again and a sob escapes your lips, being followed by more sobs and wailing, making the man turn around to look at you scared.

“Hey, what's wrong?” He runs to you, jumping on the bed by your side and hugging your body, squeezing your cheek on his chest while he caresses your hair. “Did you have a nightmare?” He asks, worried and you shake your head.

“You shouldn't be nice if you're going to dump me”, you cry more, sobbing in his arms.

“Excuse me?” He holds you by the shoulders, pushing you away so he can look at your red and puffy face. “What are you talking about?”

“You're packing because you're calling off the wedding, right?” You point to the bags, “you hate me now, I know you do”, you cry more, burying your face on his chest, soaking his shirt with your tears.

“Bunny, look at me”, he repeats his action from before, pushing you so he can look at your eyes. “Why would I leave my beautiful and kind fiance?” He asks, smiling gently at you.

“Because I was mean, I didn't really mean that we shouldn't get married, I really want to marry you”, you start mumbling, making him chuckle.

“That's great, because I still really want to marry you too”, he clarifies, coming closer and kissing your forehead. “I was packing because I'll be kidnapping you today”, he smirks, watching your eyes glow with expectation.

“Where are we going?” You ask him but he shakes his head.

“It's not a kidnapping if you know where I'm taking you”, he looks at the watch on his wrist, “you have exactly ten minutes to get ready, if I come back here and you're not done I'll take you with me anyway”, he informs you.

“Binnie!”, you pout, “I can't even take a shower in ten minutes”

“Too bad for you then, you better get to work. Tik tok”, he jokes, making you huff, jumping from the bed and running to the bathroom.

You take the quickest shower you have ever took, hurrying to the bathroom counter to brush your teeth with one hand while brushing your hair with the other, thinking about what you're going to wear. You're sure this is his revenge, he's torturing you because you were mean to him.

You figure you still have two minutes before he shows up, so you put on jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

“Times up”, Changbin's head pops on the door, a smug smile on his lips.

“I didn't even put any makeup on”, you plead, looking at the things you need right in front of you.

“Nope, don't even think about it”, he walks up to you, chuckling when you pout. You're ready to fight him on that, when he grabs you by the hips, throwing you on his shoulder.

“Binnie! What are you doing?” You kick and wiggle trying to make him release you.

“It's not a kidnapping if you go with me willingly”, he points out, making you laugh, he's unbelievable. This man is insane.

“I can't believe you”, you sigh when he drops you on the passenger's seat of his car, fastening your seatbelt. You watch as he walks around the front of the car and gets in the car. While you watch him turning on the engine and starting to drive, you wanna cry again. You just love him too much.

“I'm sorry about yesterday”, you bite on your bottom lip, “I was really exhausted and angry but that's not an excuse to say those things to you”

Changbin nods, stopping at a red light and looking at you.

“Let's just say we are even now”, he grins, grabbing your hand and giving you a quick peck on the lips.

When you arrive at the airport, he tells you to cover your eyes the whole time until you get into the plane, making sure you have no idea where you're going. When you finally see Jeju island through the plane's window, you look at him excitedly, just to find the man taking a nap. He must have stayed awake all night long, making this trip happen. You watch as his chest rises and falls, slowly, his dark hair covering his eyes.

You really don't know what you would do if he really had called the wedding off, maybe you would have begged but something you're sure is that you wouldn't be able to let him go.

As soon as the plane lands, you wake him up, shaking him a bit. His eyes flutter open and he smiles at you, brushing his fingers on his eyes to help him wake up.

“Shall we?” He offers his hand to you, seeing you nod and take his hand. Changbin stands up, pulling you with him, walking behind the people getting out of the plane.

You feel like the sun shines brighter in Jeju, the weather is warm and nice, like the perfect day for a trip. After renting a car, you two drive to the hotel, Changbin has everything ready with a suite already reserved for you.

You're a bit tired, after barely sleeping at night you are a bit sleepy but you won't go to sleep, you want to enjoy every minute you can with your man.

“I'm going to take a shower and later we can go to the beach”, you tell him, stepping closer to wrap your arms around his waist and to give him a peck on the lips.

“Should I let you, though?” He wraps his arms around you, “maybe I should keep you stuck in bed with me, paying for being so mean to me”, he smirks.

“You know damn well that that wouldn't be a punishment”, you step away, pushing him a bit.

“But I deserve compensation”, Changbin points out. “Don't I?” He grins, making you sigh.

You throw your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Enough for you to be able to touch his lips with yours, feeling his hot breath mixing with yours, his scent is just intoxicating you feel like you can go insane at any moment.

He wraps his arms around your waist, pressing you against him, seizing the opportunity and pushing you against the wall. You sigh when he pulls away from you, landing kisses down your jaw and neck, sucking on your soft skin.

“Stop right there mister”, you come to your senses, pushing him away, making him whine. “Did you bring me here just to have sex?” You squeeze your eyes, judging him.

“No, I just can't resist you”, he pouts, giving in. “You can take your shower, I'll wait”

He gives you a quick kiss and turns around, walking to the bed and sitting on the edge, sighing dramatically.

You try to walk normally, but your legs are about to give in. Changbin mustn't know the power he has over you, you'll be done for if he ever finds out.

You two walk by the beach, watching the sunset. He holds your hand with both of his, caressing yours dearly while watching you.

“You know, I love you”, he says out of nowhere, making you turn to look at him. You blush, as if you have never heard that before.

“I love you too”, you answer.

“I don't think you understand the depth of my love for you, though”, he clarifies. “The fact that you thought I was going to call everything off because of a fight shows that you're not aware of the hold you have on me”, the man steps closer, lifting one of his hands to your face and caressing your cheek. “Y/N, I love you when you're kinda, I love you when you're smart and I love you when you're funny, but I also love you when you're angry, I love you when you are upset and I love you when you're sad. I love you every hour, every minute and every second of the day and unless you dump me, I won't let you go so easily.” He smiles, chuckling to your eyes brimming with tears, you're such a cry baby.

“I'm not a lyricist like you, so I'm not as good with expressing myself”, you tell him, wiping your eyes, “but I love you so much, you have no idea how much I do. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I promise I'll prove my love to you everyday”, you smile, giving him a quick kiss. “I don't want to wait three weeks to be your wife”

“Then, let's not wait”, Changbin suggests, kissing the back of your hand. He chuckles seeing the confusion on your face. “Let's get married today, no guests, no fancy party, just you and me and probably two strangers to be our witnesses”

“What are you talking about?” You ask, confused but you can't help the smile that grows on your lips.

“Let's register our marriage right now, we can do the big party later as we planned but right now we can do it just you and me, what do you think?” He asks, hopeful. You give him the biggest smile, throwing your arms around his neck and in a second his arms are wrapped around your waist, spinning with you, making you giggle excitedly.

You and Changbin run to the city, buying him a suit and a white sundress for you. Outside of the register office, you find two people nice enough to agree on witnessing your wedding. Your fiance prepared two rings made of flowers that would probably not last more than a day, but the important thing isn't anything like that. The most important thing is the spark in his eyes when he's looking at you, while waiting to sign the papers. The most important thing is how he presses his lips on your knuckles after putting on the flower ring on your finger. The most important thing is that you're husband and wife now. And that you'll never ever let go of each other.

Be nice

Pairing: Minchan

Word Count: 2983

Summary: Sometimes, Chan helping him out isn't what Minho wants, and this time, they get into a fight. Later that day they talk but it never stays at that with them...

Be Nice

Minho stares at the ceiling, wondering if Chan would join him at some point tonight. The lights of passing cars illuminate the room, and the continuous sound of raindrops hitting the bedroom window calms him slowly. He hates getting into fights, especially with Chan. His boyfriend was a sweetheart, but when he got mad, everyone else felt like hiding and let him deal with it. Which was exactly what had happened today.

Six hours earlier

Minho scrolled through his phone as his stylist made the last adjustments to today's outfit. They'd be giving an interview soon, and he was a little nervous since it would be in English once again. Understanding wasn't the problem, but the time his brain needed to process the information and grasp some words together for an answer was simply too long. He hated it, wishing he could participate more, and Chan knew how upset he could get because of it. Nevertheless, he had repeatedly told him that he'd take over the Japanese, becoming more fluent than the rest. One of their staff members came up to him, and Minho greeted him politely.

"The company feels like you're going to be left behind with all those English interviews coming up."

"Sorry?" Minho asked, confused. "I'm here, aren't I?"

"Yes, but a lot of this promotion is focused on English, so we need you to open up more," he told him.

"What's going on?" Chan asked, strolling over as he saw the utter confusion on Minho's face. The staff member repeated himself for Chan, who frowned. "Why? You're not pressuring any of the others who struggle with that either."

"Well, they try, at least. Everyone knows they won't get any new bits of information from him, though," he told them, and Chan glanced at Minho, whose face fell. "We need you to try at least."

Minho was hurt by that because everyone knew how much he struggled with it. Nevertheless, this was his job, and he knew he had to put in some work to excel. "Okay," he nodded quietly.

Chan placed his hand on his lower back and shook his head. "There's no need to pressure him like that. You all know I always try to include him."

"You may be the leader, but you're not the babysitter," he told him, and Minho closed his eyes in defeat, knowing Chan would be pissed now.

"It's okay, I'll try harder. I'm sorry," he said, and Chan opened his mouth to protest. "Just let it be, please," Minho said before stepping away from them and sitting down on the sofa next to Felix.

"What's going on?" Felix asked gently, but Minho didn't get to answer as Chan came over.

"Why don't you stand up for yourself?" he asked, and Minho stared at him blankly.

"You're serious right now? You do know your position as the leader is a little more secure than mine, right?" he asked defensively.

"They're not gonna kick you out just because you tell them to fuck off once in a while," he said.

"I got kicked before, didn't I?" he gave back and grabbed his phone. "Just stop, they're right you're not my babysitter, Chan, I can handle it."

Chan huffed. "You're right. I'm your boyfriend, and I'm there when you're in trouble."

Minho contorted his face. "It wouldn't have been a problem if you didn't waltz in and take over once again."

"Now it's my fault they're telling you that stuff?" Chan asked, offended.

"Chan. That's not what I said, and you know it," Minho sighed before pushing himself up. "Stop, okay? It's embarrassing."

Chan stared after him as Minho left their room and closed the door a little too loudly. He took a deep breath before following him outside. Minho was leaning against the opposite wall, nervously fidgeting with his hands. "Min, come on," he said softly.

Minho closed his eyes in defeat and shook his head. "I mean it; you're not making things easier. I know I'm shit at it, but you defending me for being shit at it makes it even more obvious."

"I was trying to help, okay? That's all," Chan said.

"I don't want your help, okay?" Minho told him. "I love you, Channie, but I have to figure out some things on my own. Stop hovering."

Chan looked at him for a long moment before going back inside. Minho sighed, knowing he was beyond pissed now.

This time, Chan didn't mention him once or ask any questions to include him. He kept his distance during the game they played, and once they were done, Chan packed up his stuff. "We're going home," he told him firmly, and Minho blinked at him surprised.

"I thought we were getting dinner with the -," he asked, but Chan's firm look made him stop. "I suppose not, then," he said, grabbing his bag.

The others watched them nervously as Chan opened the door and let Minho out first, who waved at them with a halfhearted smile. As soon as the door closed, Minho turned toward him. "You're an asshole."

"Excuse me?" Chan asked firmly, gently pushing him in the right direction, and kept walking next to him.

"Why would you spoil our group dinner just because you're pissed at me? They were looking forward to it all week. I was looking forward to it." he said.

"You're a grownup, you can still go," he shrugged, and Minho stopped walking.

"You know what? Maybe that's a good idea," he told him. "Because you're being ridiculous right now, and I'd rather enjoy my evening instead of hiding until you calmed down."

"Great, fuck off then," Chan said, not noticing the tears shimmering in Minho's eyes. Minho didn't answer and dropped his bag to his feet before turning on the spot and returning inside. Chan rolled his eyes and grabbed the bag before leaving. “Fucks sake,” he cursed.

Jisung watched him worriedly as he stepped inside. "You're okay?"

"Not really, but that's between me and Chan," Minho told him, accepting the hug he offered. If there was one thing that he cared about, it was not pulling the others into their disagreements. Their relationship shouldn't weigh heavy on the group mentality.

Two hours earlier

Minho came back later that night, waving Changbin goodbye, who had driven him home. He sighed softly as he pulled the door close behind himself and slowly walked into the living room, spotting Chan on the sofa. "Hi," he said quietly.

"Hey," he said, not looking up.

"You should've come, it was fun," Minho told him gently, trying to make peace.

"It wouldn't have been with me hovering," Chan said sourly.

Minho nodded more to himself. "Okay," he whispered, putting his keys on the kitchen table. "How long?"

"What?" Chan asked, irritated.

"How long do you need until you can look at me again and talk to me without being pissed off?" he asked calmly. It wasn't meant as an insult or tease but to check his boundaries.

Chan put his phone down and stared at him, a little startled. "What?"

Minho closed his eyes for a moment, reminding himself to stay calm. There was no use in exploding and triggering Chan's response even more. "Listen, love," he says very gently. "I had an amazing evening, and I don't intend to ruin my mood with another unnecessary fight. I missed you there, okay?"

"Why? I thought you don't want a babysitter?" Chan said before he could think it through.

Hurt filled Minho's eyes as he grabbed his keys from the table. "Now you're just being mean," he told him, clearly disappointed, and made his way upstairs.

Chan groaned at himself and leaned back into the sofa, rubbing his face.

Now

Chan still sits on the sofa, unsure if Minho would like him to join him tonight. By now, Chan knows Minho has every right to be disappointed, and deep down, he knows he didn't mean any harm telling him to back off a little. He is still hungry and craving that amazing noodle dish, Minho made them a few days ago. But now is hardly the time to ask him for it, having no idea how he made it.

He looks up as Minho slowly comes down the stairs, his breath hitching when he sees him. Minho is wearing nothing but boxers and a shirt he lent him, his hair framing his face beautifully. Chan is once more reminded of how effortlessly beautiful Minho is at all times. Minho's eyes meet his, and the world seems to stand still for a moment. "Min, I'm sorry," Chan says softly.

Minho walks past him into the kitchen and pours himself a glass of water. Chan gets up, hesitantly making his way over and leaning against the kitchen island opposite him. Minho puts down the glass and searches his eyes. "You had dinner yet?" he asks.

"No," Chan shakes his head.

Minho sighs softly and opens his arms for him. Chan doesn’t hesitate and practically throws himself into his arms, hugging him tight. Minho gently runs his hand through his hair and plants a soft kiss on his head. "I know you meant well, Channie love. It's just…"

"I don't make it easier, I know," he nods. "I just hate seeing them treat you like that."

Minho places his fingers beneath his chin, lifting his face. "I have you, at the end of the day, I don't care what they say," he says, rubbing his thumb across Chan's lower lip. "We both know they're right, I have to try sometimes."

Chan smiles softly and sinks deep into his eyes. "Did I ever tell you how adorable you are when you try though?"

Minho's eyes brighten up, his smile growing shy. "Not since we recorded Drive."

Chan smirks, cupping his face. "Mhm, the day of our first kiss. You were too adorable to resist."

"So that's why you finally confessed your feelings," he teases lovingly. "I don't think I ever saw you that shy again."

Chan mindlessly brushes back his hair, caressing his cheeks. "I was scared to ruin our friendship."

"Technically, you did," Minho grins and searches his eyes. "We're way more than that now, aren't we?" he asks and turns, kissing the palm of his hand.

"There's just one thing that bothers me," he tells him, and Minho frowns softly. "Your last name."

"What?" Minho blinks at him. "Go blame my parents, thank you very much," he protests, gently shoving his chest.

Chan grins before taking his hand and mindlessly fondling his ring finger. "I intend to change it one day," he says, and Minho's eyes widen, realizing what he is on about. "When all this is over, I'll officially make you mine."

Minho chuckles softly and rolls his eyes at him. "You're so cheesy," he giggles.

Chan smirks and pulls something from his pocket. "Until then, I want you to hold on to this for me," he says, sliding a subtle silver ring up his finger.

"Channie," Minho breathes out, stunned.

"Happy birthday, Minho baby," he says sweetly after checking the time. It’s only a few minutes after midnight.

Minho's heart is about to burst, and he pulls him in, kissing him hard on the mouth. Chan's lips crash onto his, a soft moan leaving his lips that shoots straight to Minho's stomach. He sinks his hand into his hair and presses himself close. "Love, I need you. Right now," he whispers against his lips, and Chan takes the hint. He lifts him up, chuckling as Minho wraps his legs around him. Minho kisses him heavily as Chan maneuvers his way through the living room and up the stairs. He doesn’t even bother turning on the lights and sits down at the edge of their bed. Minho straddles his lap, hands cupping his face as he kisses him passionately. Chan sinks his hand into his hair, pulling him back as his lips travel down his neck. Minho moans sweetly at the sensation and presses him closer to his skin. "Chan, sweetie," he pants, and Chan hums questioningly against his neck, sinking his teeth into his skin. "Lube. Now."

Chan chuckles at his impatience but reaches for the table next to the bed, grabbing the lube from the drawer. Minho takes it and slips from his lap, chest heaving softly from their heavy kisses.

Minho leans down and captures his lips in another short, soft kiss. "Take it all off," he whispers before grabbing the hem of his own shirt.

Chan doesn’t need a second invitation and pulls Minho back down on his lap as soon as their clothes are gone. He hungrily kisses him before getting up and lowering him back on the mattress. "Fuck, you're beautiful," he tells him quietly, and Minho smiles sweetly beneath him.

"Please don't make me wait," Minho answers just as quietly, reaching out for him.

Chan flicks the bottle open and pours some lube on his fingers. He spreads Minho's legs, and his hand disappears between them. Chan watches his face in awe as he starts to open him up. Minho pulls him into an open-mouthed kiss, arching into him as Chan adds another finger. As soon as Minho tells him he's ready, Chan grabs a condom and prepares himself quickly. He pushes in with slow, careful movements and can’t help but groan when he is fully buried inside him. "Fuck."

Minho beams up at him, softly burying his fingers in his hair and pants at the pleasant stretch. He takes a moment to adjust before nodding. "Okay," he whispers, and Chan starts moving. He watches him full of adoration, brushing back a curl that's already sticking to his forehead, and places his hand on his neck, thumb fondling his cheek. Minho presses their foreheads together as Chan thrusts in deep, both moaning at the feeling. "Feels so good, Channie hyung," Minho tells him, and Chan growls softly at the honorifics.

Chan's bracing himself on his lower arms, gently playing with Minho's hair. He leans into Minho's touch as the younger one caresses his cheek, and their lips brush together, moans and soft sounds of pleasure echoing between them. Minho's head falls back, toes curling as Chan manages to hit his prostate. His hand shoots up, nails burying themselves in Chan's shoulder. A punched-out sound leaves his lips as Chan buries his nose in his neck simultaneously, gently licking the spot he previously sunk his teeth into. "I got you," Chan rasps against his skin and hits his sweet spot again. Chan watches Minho’s face flood with pleasure, lips falling open with soft whimpers and moans. Moonlight dances across his dark hair, highlighting every significant feature of his face.

Minho chases his lips, moaning into the kiss loudly, and wraps his legs around Chan’s waist. “Don’t stop,” he pants, gripping his hair tightly. “So close…”

Chan kisses a trail down his jaw, keeping the same pace as Minho’s hips start to stutter beneath him. He reaches down between their bodies, wrapping his hand around his dick and pumping him fast. “Come for me, baby. Make a mess,” he rasps into his ear, and Minho does, whimpering his name as he paints their chests. Chan picks up the pace of his thrusts, knowing Minho only likes to be overstimulated when he’s in the mood for it.

Minho smiles at him lazily as Chan falls apart above him, lovingly fondling his hair as the older one collapses onto him. They lay still for a moment, both catching their breaths before Minho speaks up again. “We could’ve done that earlier, maybe you wouldn’t have been sulking all day then..”

Chan giggles and weakly punches his arm. “Fuck you.”

“I thought you did already,” he teases, kissing his hair. “I’m joking.”

“I know,” Chan snorts before pushing himself up. “We need a shower.”

“You still need dinner as well,” Minho reminds him.

“Yeah, about that,” Chan starts, and Minho snorts softly.

“You’re addicted to that dish already, aren’t you?” he asks, and Chan blushes. “You always are when I try something new,” he giggles.

“You know me too well,” Chan laughs.

“Of course I do,” he smiles smugly. “And, of course, I’ll make it for a very late dinner,” he tells him and gently pats his back. “Now get off me, you big baby, before I get too lazy to move and decide differently,” he says, laughing as Chan does so immediately.

After their shower, in the dim light of their bathroom, Minho sees the scratch marks he left on Chan’s back and contorts his face softly. He gently brushes his fingertips over them and meets Chan’s eyes through the mirror. “I’m sorry.”

Chan smirks before turning and wrapping his arms around him. “One of the reasons I call you kitten, it’s fine,” he assures him, and Minho fondly rolls his eyes at him. “Also, I don’t want to pressure you or anything, but I can help you out with the English stuff at any time.”

Minho stares at him, amused for a moment, before squinting his eyes at him. “You know why that’s not a good idea?”

“Why?” he asks, clearly confused.

“You’d have another excuse to fuck me stupid and blame it on me speaking English,” he smirks, and Chan’s jaw drops.

“How is that bad?” he asks, playfully offended.

“How is that helping with learning? I’d be distracted the whole time, and we’d get nothing done,” he protests.

“It would work like a reward system, which is quite effective, by the way,” Chan smirks.

“Oh wow, he’s speaking English, but somehow he can’t walk straight anymore. I wonder why,” Minho thinks out loud, and Chan starts laughing.

“Shut up, I was being nice,” he giggles.

“I’m just being realistic,” he grins.

“Buzzkill,” Chan snorts.

“Be nice, it’s my birthday,” Minho pouts playfully, squirming away and laughing as Chan tickles him.

Meant To Be ~ SCB [TW] [Request]

The day seemed to be going by so slowly as if it knew you wanted to hurry up and finish work. Not that you hated your job, you absolutely adored it. Getting to spend most of the day around your boyfriend was one of the many perks but you also got to do something you enjoyed.

“Don’t get me wrong, I loved the gesture but it doesn’t make up for him stealing my food.” Sana jokingly complained as she looked at you in the mirror. Your hands were plaiting her red hair into french plaits down the side as you got her ready for a video shooting.

“Take it up with Chan, he likes to steal my food too.” You giggled a little as she shook her head.

“The fact is! I had my name written on that bag and he still took it,”

“A thief!” You gasped dramatically as you tied off the end of her hair with a hair tie,

“Vandal!” She gasped back, holding her hand over her chest as you both began to say the lyrics of “Jump” back at one another, giggling the whole time.

“Outrage!”

“Scandal!” A cough at the door stopped you both and you smiled. Changbin was waiting for you, leaning against the door frame with a giant smile on his face.

The day seemed to have dragged by for him too, all week long he’d been wanting to get the week over with. Too excited to finally head home with you to meet his parents.

Sana smirked as she saw the suitcases by Changbin’s feet, matching suitcases cause you were both just that cute together. As much as Changin claimed he was a dark person he was far from it.

Bang Chan, 565 words

Channie noticed your discomfort almost immediately. Of course he did - he knew you better than you knew yourself sometimes. He would take note of the way your eyebrows would scrunch up a pinch. He would feel your muscles tensing under his body. You didn't try to pull away, not wanting him to realize that your thoughts were torturing you once again, but his perception of your tiniest shuffle was out of this world - so he knew how you felt, even without you saying it out loud.

"Wait, let's sit up real quick, baby", he loosened his touch around your body, helping you get into a more comfortable sitting-position. His hands were still hovering on your arms, his fingers ghosting over the small hairs that were all over them. His eyes found yours. And while his were shining with love, yours were full of sadness - the tears threatening to escape if you looked at him for a second too long. "Channie?", you put one of your hands over his, slowly removing his hold of your arms. "I can't help but feel like I don't deserve to be with someone as-", you stammered, "-someone as beautiful as you." Your eyes deviated from his, looking at your lap in shame.

The man in front of you asked you to look at him again, his voice barely more than a whisper, "May I touch you, baby?" You nodded, not trusting your voice. Chan put one of his warm hands on your cheek, holding it there until you leaned into it unconsciously. "Whenever you lean into me like that, it shows me that you trust me as much as I trust you. That you feel as comfortable around me as you can." A tear rolled down your cheek. It landed on your lips, tasting salty. You didn't mind.

"Can I touch your hips?", he asked. You nodded again, trying to hold in the rest of the tears that were about to fall. His hands slid down your waist and stopped on your hips. You barely felt the touch, your eyes never leaving his. "I love holding you here when we dance. It's like my hands were made to hold you - like I was made to hold you." Your bottom lip quivered and you stopped holding back, finally letting yourself cry.

"Am I allowed to kiss you, love?", his hands were still on your hips, squeezing them ever so slightly. You nodded one last time, letting the tears trickle down your face. His lips felt soft on yours as his arms slid behind your back, holding you impossibly close to him. Chan tasted the salty tears that hadn't stopped yet, but he didn't care. This wasn't a kiss of lust or romance. It was a kiss of trust and intimacy. It was a kiss of comfort. It was one of love. "If you think I'm beautiful, then you have to be, too. Because I am convinced that I was made for you. That we were made for each other. You complete me and I complete you."

He let you stare at him, letting his words seep into your brain for as long as you needed. "Channie?", you nuzzled your head against his shoulder. "Hm?" "Can we cuddle more?" This time it was his turn to nod, letting your bodies mold together once more, as if they were one, "Of course, baby."

Seo Changbin, 404 words

"Do you think my stomach is too big, Bin?" Changbin furrowed his eyebrows behind you. You were cuddling for a while, but this made him remove his hold from you, letting his hand slide off of your waist. "Jagi! What do you mean?", he made you turn around slightly, so he could see your face. He was expecting you to be joking, but he could tell by the redness in your eyes that you meant every word.

"Yah!", he looked at you with an entirely serious expression. "Why? Do you think mine is?", his eyebrows furrowed more. You were shocked at his response. "No! Why would I ever think that?", your eyes widened, "Your stomach is warm and soft and quite literally my favorite place to sleep!" You sighed, "I just...I think my belly is too fat and that it makes me look gross."

Changbin noticed that you tried to look anywhere but at him, not wanting him to see how embarrassed you were. "Bunny.", his hand touched your chin, making you look at him, "Did I ever tell you that I can't sleep without holding your belly?" You shook your head. "When I hold your stomach it's like I can keep you safe. I can hold you even when we are asleep, and if a big bad closet monster would try to snatch you away from me at night I could hold onto you without it standing a chance. I always take hours to fall asleep when I am not holding you."

You giggled a little, but he could tell that you still weren't entirely convinced. Both of his hands moved to your cheeks, squishing them a little so you would automatically pout a little with your lips. It made you look adorable. "Your belly holds all of your most important organs, you know? It makes sure to keep them save so that I get to have one more day with you. And it does that every single day. How could I think it's gross, when it's such an important part of you?"

"Do you mean that?", your eyes were wide, glistening with wetness. Changbin put both of his hands onto your belly, immediately spreading their warmth to you. "Every word, bunny."

Both of you got back into the position you were in before your question. "Binnie?" He only hummed in response, his breath tickling your neck. "I like your belly, too."

Lee Felix, 438 words

Felix could feel you attempt to pull out of his tight cuddle for the third time, so he finally decided to talk to you, "What's wrong, honey?" You mumbled what he could only assume to be words in some sort of alien language. "I didn't quiet hear that.", he giggled. "I said I don't like my body today.", you tried to wriggle out of his hold - again. But he pulled you even closer - again. "I'm not going to let you get away from me until you hear what I have to say. And if you still want to stop this insanely good cuddle-session to let me freeze to death, then, I'll let you.

He didn't wait for your response, seeing you pout in surrender. He already knew the response, but asked anyways, "Is this about the fact that your legs are hairy?" "Yes." "You are like crazy pretty when you smile. Genuinely. You are gorgeous. I can see your eyes sparkle when you do, and it makes me so happy. That's why I always send you stupid tiktoks that I think you will like." In an attempt to stop him from seeing your smile you pulled the corners of your mouth down to keep the pout intact. It didn't work. Felix beamed a toothy smile at you, "Sometimes I catch you dance along to music when you think nobody is watching. But everyone is watching, because you are mesmerizing. One time I had to threaten the boys I would teakwondo their asses if they looked at you for too long again." You laughed, not being able to hold back any longer. "You did what?" "It's true!", he nodded.

"Do you know why I stopped calling you cupcake a few months ago?" "Because honey is sweeter?" He shook his head, "Close, but no. I realized that you are way better than any cupcake could be. No matter how good the buttercream is and no matter how many sprinkles are on it." A loud snort escaped you, "Lixie, that is such a bad analogy!", you had tears in your eyes from laughing. "Yes, but it made you laugh."

You didn't protest when he hugged you even tighter one last time before letting you get comfortable in his arms again. "How could I ever even care about some hair on your body when your laugh immediately hypnotizes me. You don't even realize that I would do anything for you if it only means I get to hear your laugh."

In order to keep up the playful atmosphere you slapped his arm slightly, fake-rolling your eyes, "Shut up and cuddle me, sprinkles."

DAY 03 | A STATE OF MIND

You knocked on the door to the 3RACHA + Hyunjin dorm. Tapping your foot against the ground, you waited for one of the boys to let you in. “Come on, guys, come on,” you murmured, growing more and more impatient with every second that passed. This truly was the worst time to forget your keys at home. But you were in such a hurry to get here that the thought of bringing anything but the absolute essentials, such as your phone or the keys to your own apartment, hadn't crossed your mind until you were halfway to the dorm.

When Changbin called you twenty minutes ago, begging you to come over, you weren’t thinking straight. As soon as Chan's name was mentioned, you grabbed your stuff and ran out the door. Poor Changbin didn't even get to finish what was so urgent, but that didn't matter. You will find out when you go there. What mattered was the fact that something was going on with Chan, and you were too far away from him. So there you were, in the hallway of the Stray Kids’ apartment complex, standing in front of the door like an idiot. Just as you were starting to entertain the thought of busting the door down, the doorknob moved and revealed Minho in a similarly distressed state as you. His hair was messy, his hoodie rumpled, and there were a few faint damp patches around his chest and shoulders.

“Thank god you're here.” Minho let out a sigh of relief, ushering you to come inside and towards Chan's room, not even pointing out the fact that you didn't take off your shoes. Oh, so this was really serious then. Minho was very particular about these sorts of things, so the fact that he now completely ignored one of his precious house rules spoke volumes on its own. Walking through the apartment, you noticed the rest of the members sitting or standing around, looking similarly uneasy. Hyunjin and Jisung paused their murmured conversation with Changbin to give you a small wave as a greeting, which you returned. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Seungmin comforting a crying Jeongin, but before you could inspect the scene further, you were dragged away by Minho. “Yongbok is with him right now, but he keeps asking for you,” the dancer said, placing a hand on your shoulder blade and gently nudging you towards the closed door.

“Um… Do you mind telling me what exactly happened? I kind of rushed here before Changbin got the chance to explain.” You ran your hand through your hair, suddenly feeling a bit awkward.

Minho didn't make a big deal out of it. “It's been a hard few weeks for him. And you know how he is, he never tells us anything and keeps it bottled up. I don't know what set it off, but with the deadlines closing in three days and the haters getting more active lately, I guess it got too much. He broke down about an hour ago, and we don't know what to do,” he explained with the same sad and worried tone he greeted you with. You nodded, and Minho carefully opened the door.

Felix raised his head to the noise, and his eyes sparked up when he saw you. Though it wasn't the usual spark in his eyes, this time it was much more bittersweet. I'm glad you're here, and I'm sorry I can't help more. “Chris, Y/N is here,” Felix whispered in English, gently running his fingers through Chan's hair to make him acknowledge the information.

Watching the whole scene unfold in front of you, you could feel your heart breaking into a million pieces. The two boys were sitting on the bed, Chan cuddled up to Felix. At least he wasn't crying anymore, so that was already a step in a better direction. He still had his face buried in the younger one's chest, though. One of Felix's arms was steadily wrapped around Chan, while the other was now massaging his scalp. Chan looked so small and vulnerable, curled up into a ball like that. You had to fight every urge to run over there, pry him out of Felix's arms, and never let go again. But you knew you had to approach carefully.

Kneeling down next to the bed, you gently ran your hand around Chan's back, letting him know you're here. "Baby," you whispered. “Baby, it's me. Can you look at me, please?’ you said, getting up on the bed as well. Felix gave you a weak smile, and slowly, with so much care, he disentangled himself from Chan, who immediately latched onto you, grabbing you with a force you didn't think he was capable of right now. You didn't even notice Felix and Minho leaving the room; all your attention was focused on your boyfriend the moment you saw him.

“Want to tell me what happened?” you gently asked, hugging Chan tighter when he shook his head, mumbling something about wanting to just hold you for a while. You nodded with a sad smile. “Of course.” He'll tell you later, if he wants to. For now, you would just hold him, knowing that just your presence helped him. He said many times in the past that just being close to you always made him feel better. But now that saying has reached a completely new, heartbreaking level. You watched Chan get comfortable with a stinging pain in your chest. It hurt to see him like this, clinging to you like he's drowning and you're the only thing keeping him above the water.

For a while, you just stayed, intertwined with one another. For the whole time, your fingers gently brushed through Chan's soft curls because you knew it always helped to ground him. As the minutes passed, you felt how Chan's breathing slowly steadied, and he was coming out of his current state.

Feeling him move, you smiled and helped him into a more sitting position, but you still kept your firm hold on him. Reaching over for the bottles of water Minho brought in some time ago, you handed one to Chan. “Feeling better, baby?”

He took the bottle and opened it, bringing it to his lips. He set it back down and nodded in response to your question. “I'm sorry… Don't know what…” he mumbled. “The deadlines and comments... It was too much.”

“Shh, it's okay.” You began stroking his hair again. “They're wrong. Whatever they said to you, they're wrong.”

Chan looked at you. His eyes, always so sparkly and happy, were now heavy with sadness. “They said that I'm not a good leader. That I don't deserve to be an idol because I'm ugly with no talent,” he whispered.

You felt a burst of anger inside you. “Channie,” you said, more insistent this time. One of your hands came to rest on his jaw, your thumb gently caressing his cheek, while the other interlocked your fingers with his, holding his hand tightly. “They're wrong. You're a great leader. No one loves the boys more than you, and we both know you'll do anything for them. You take care of them, of me, of other artists in your company. You protect them when it's needed, and you help them grow and achieve their own success outside of the group. Are those the qualities of a bad leader?”

Chan shook his head slightly.

“Exactly. You are the best leader they could ever ask for.” You smiled at him, hoping to convey how much you loved and appreciated him with that one smile. And it might have worked. His face lit up a tiny bit. Blink and you would have missed it, but at this point in your relationship, you were so accustomed to Chan that you sometimes felt like you could read his mind.

“And I don't know who said that other thing, but they need their eyes checked,” you continued. “You are beautiful, Chan, inside and out. From your adorable curly hair..." You reached to kiss the top of his head. “Over your eyes, your nose, your entire face, to your lips.” After every feature, you placed a kiss on that spot, and your heart swelled with happiness when you heard soft giggles coming out of Chan at the fact that he was being showered with kisses all over his face. “And even if the haters don't think that, who cares? Their opinion doesn’t matter. Beauty is much more than looks. It's the personality as well. You have thousands of fans ready to tell you the same because it's true, but you need to believe it yourself. Please try, for me?”

You leaned in to press a final kiss on Chan's lips. When you pulled away, you noticed tears beginning to form in the corners of his eyes. “Oh god no,” you murmured. This was the last thing you wanted to happen. Just as you thought he was getting better, you made him cry again.

“Happy tears. It's happy tears,” Chan quickly said, noticing you getting into your head. “It's okay, you didn't do anything,” he assured you, a small smile creeping up on his face.

“I should be the one telling you that,” you chuckled, cupping his face in your hands and wiping the tears away.

“Can't have you steal all the spotlight, can I?"

That did get a full laugh out of you. A joke. That meant Chan was coming back. “I'm glad you're feeling better,” you said, your voice sweet and sincere.

“Thank you. For being here and... and helping. I promise I'll try for you,” Chan said, and you lit up at his words. It was going to be a long and difficult road, for sure, but this was already a huge step in the right direction. Then he yawned and snuggled up closer to you. You stroked his back a few times. It was understandable. He was exhausted, both physically and emotionally. “I'll go tell the boys you're okay, and then I'll come back so we can sleep, okay?”

You got a murmured okay in response. Smiling, you gently laid Chan down on the bed and gave him a last kiss into his hair before walking towards the door. When you looked over your shoulder before exiting the room, he was curled to himself just like before, but this time his breathing was slow and steady, his face calm, as his body was finally ready to let go and relax.

☆ Regrets & Replacements ☆

chan ✉

it wasn't weird to you that he wasn't the first person to say "happy birthday" to you that morning. he had always been busy especially in comeback season, you weren't mad, just a bit disappointed. the messages started flooding in as you looked at your phone trying to respond to everything. as the hours passed and no chan messages, no appearances at your front door and definitely no calls, you were starting to feel a bit uneasy.

you thought maybe he was planning a surprise? maybe you had to be more patient. or maybe he actually forgot and you were just waiting for nothing. either way the thoughts left your head as soon as you heard the phone ring and it was a video call from minho.

"happy birthday (y/n)!" the boys cheered and they even had a cake with them. it made you feel ten times better knowing they cared so much but it still made you wanna cry not seeing chan there, it just felt wrong. "i'm sorry we couldn't say this earlier, we were busy with practice and i'm sure your boyfriend will be there at any minute." minho said.

"i hope so, he still hasn't said anything." you responded and they all looked confused as hell. chan had been wanting everything to be perfect for your birthday day and him not saying anything was kinda weird to all of them. "did he say anything to you guys?"

"he left earlier because he said he got plans? i thought he would be right there when we called." felix said and now it was your turn to be confused. so if he wasn't here and he said he got plans? where was he? it just didn't make sense.

"i'm gonna text him right now to get his ass to your house." jisung said as he brought out his phone and texted as fast as he could. you could read the look on his face through the screen as he read the reply and it wasn't pleasing at all. "he's with soohee." jisung said and it was like everything stopped for a moment.

"you're not serious right now." seungmin said and you couldn't hear the boys go off anymore because it was now starting to make sense. you were never really good friends with soohee, you tried to but it was like she had another image for who she wanted to be with chan (probably herself). you decided to hang up because you couldn't really talk anymore, you were just shocked that she would go that low and that he would not care enough.

you wanted to go out and enjoy the rest of your birthday but it's like you were glued to the couch as the hours went by and eventually chan did get home. he looked at you and took in the scene, he wasn't sure what happened that you didn't text him all day like you usually do or that you didn't come by during practice. something had to be wrong for you to be acting like this right?

"baby? what's wrong? i missed you today." he said as he tried to sit down next to you but you got up and now he was starting to understand that he was the one who did you wrong. he still didn't know why though and the vague messages from the boys today weren't helping. he felt like he wasn't in on whatever was going on and it was starting to make him panic. "did i do something wrong? i have no idea what's happening."

"can i be alone today chris? i'm just not feeling too well." you expressed and that made him worry even more. you usually would talk it out if something like this happened but you were more silent than anything. you headed towards your shared room leaving a puzzled chan behind. that's when something popped up on his phone saying "(y/n)'s birthday, don't forget to pick up all the things you ordered!" and it fucking broke him completely.

not only he didn't say happy birthday to you, not only he forgot to pick up all the gifts, not only did he not organize everything he had planned for today. he spent the whole day with a person he knew you weren't fond of and not with you who had waited all day for him to do something. if he wasn't the worst boyfriend in the planet right now, he surely didn't know who it was.

minho ✉

it was no secret to you that minho forgot. you weren't really bothered by it since you weren't used to celebrating your birthday all that often but it made you kind of excited to do so this year. jisung decided to join you in organizing the event and when the day arrived, he said everything was set in place and of course told you happy birthday before anyone could do so.

"is minho hyung with you?" jisung asked over the phone as you tried to get ready. that question caught you off guard as you thought he told you he was going to be at the dorms.

"he's not in the dorms?" you asked now feeling a bit troubled and hoping for the answer you knew wouldn't arrive because if he was at the dorms, jisung wouldn't have asked in the first place.

"i was sure that he told me he would be at your house before the party." he responded but as you looked around, yeah minho wasn't anywhere to be found and now you were wondering if he would show up at all. anxiety kicked in and that was not pleasant to feel on your special day. "okay i can feel you panicking through the phone already, he might be my best friend but i'm kicking his ass for lying."

jisung hanged up all of the sudden and you tried to concentrate on your look. you knew everyone was gonna be there so you wanted to make a good impression but all that was going through your mind was "why would minho lie?" and "where was minho?". it troubled you so much that you had to call him to know what was going on.

"(y/n)? babe? i'm kinda busy right now." hearing his voice relieved you but you were still going back and forth in your head trying to figure out. maybe he was gonna surprise you? maybe he did really forget? or maybe he just didn't care? oh god all those questions.

"minho where are you?" you asked and waited for the dreaded response, you were already assuming the worst and you were right to do so when he responded.

"i'm at soohee's house. she had a bad date with a guy and she needed me here." he said as if it was all natural like he wasn't missing out on anything and that made you want to cry on the spot but you held back. it wasn't that he chose you over her, it was that she did this all the time and he wasn't realizing how she was using him. you wanted him to be here, to show you that he cared but his actions were speaking louder than anything.

"minho do me a favor and don't show up today." you said as you hung up, leaving a baffled minho on the other side of the line. what were you talking about? okay yes he lied about seeing his friend but it was because neither you or jisung liked her at all. he was just trying to be a good friend and he ended up being a bad one and also a terrible boyfriend in the process, how did that make any sense?

"who called?" soohee asked as she came back from getting all her makeup off after a long crying session.

"oh it was (y/n), they were pissed at me though and i have no idea why." he explained and that only made her chuckle which had him confused. what was funny about his significant other being mad at him? yeah there was nothing funny about it.

"probably because their dumb birthday party was today." she responded and it hit him like a bucket of cold water. he looked at the calendar on his phone and he wanted to actually punch a wall. he forgot his partner's birthday, he lied in the process and he chose someone else who was now showing her true colors before him over you. how the fuck would he make it up to you now?

changbin ✉

you were trying to process what was going on as you woke up and had a ton of messages but there was no changbin beside you. it was weird also how all of the texts you were getting started with "happy birthday" but the one changbin sent only said "i'm gonna be busy today, sorry that i left without a goodbye!" and it was okay, you didn't expect him to remember everything especially when he was buried with work.

well you thought it was work at least. you didn't expect it to be something else but every single one of the boys had told you to have a wonderful day and that they were sure changbin was gonna enjoy his day off with you. so it wasn't work and now you were left to think about the endless possibilities of where he could be.

"he left without a word?" yeonjun asked as he and wooyoung dropped by. they were some of changbin's closest friends but easily became yours as well as you hung out often with them. "but he told us he had big plans for today! where the fuck could he be?"

"i have no idea. i thought the boys would know but they even told me he asked for a day off to spend it with me." you said and you started to feel a little troubled. maybe something happened? he would tell you if something was happening though especially if it was an emergency.

"let's hope he's just planning the surprise." wooyoung said and you were hoping for that, that it was all just one big confusion and he didn't forget about you. you felt incredibly lonely when they left but they had hope that his friend would appear again and that "busy" meant he was gonna show up with a million flowers to make it up to you.

but time was passing by and no changbin appeared until midnight. he didn't expect for you to be awake at such an hour but he didn't question it as he looked at you, dry tears in your face as you sniffled. worry washed over his body as he sat down next to you and tried to get close but you wouldn't let him.

"darling? what happened?" changbin asked, feeling the tension all of the sudden. he wasn't gonna be a coward and run away from it though, if you were feeling down it was his duty to know what happened.

"wooyoung and yeonjun were here thinking that you might show up with gifts or a reservation. i thought the same for a minute but then you never showed up." you said choking on your tears and it made his heart break into pieces as he processed what was happening. his friends showed up, his bandmates probably said something too, hell even his family told him to not forget about today and what did he do? not remember his significant other's special day.

"i'm sorry (y/n). i spent all day with soohee because she needed me and i forgot to even look at the date, i had everything planned. i'm such a fucking idiot but let me make it up to you." he tried explaining but it was no use as you got up as your sobs got louder and everything he said was only making it worse. he knew that beyond you not having a good relationship with her that he chose her over you on a date that was important and that he was now too late.

"so not only did you forget. you chose to spend it with a person who clearly hates me and everything about our relationship. i think that says more about you than me, changbin." you said as you shook your head and walked to your shared room, only to close the door in the process startling him. he feared that this would be the end because there was no going back from this one.

hyunjin ✉

you knew something was off when hyunjin basically went silent mode. he left the house in the morning, not a trace of a goodbye kiss and less of a happy birthday. he didn't answer his phone calls and neither the texts messages that you were sending which was very odd on his part. he usually would spam you images or emojis but there was no sight of him.

you asked chan if hyunjin happened to be at the studio and he responded back immediately saying that he was supposed to be there for practice and still hasn't showed up. which okay you could understand him working on your birthday, you weren't insane like that but he usually got there on time. you decided to grab your things and head to the jyp building, you wanted to see him mostly. maybe he had forgotten your birthday and that was okay, you still had the rest of the day to celebrate it.

everyone as soon as they saw you said "happy birthday" or greeted you which was very nice. when you saw the boys you couldn't help but smile even if deep down inside you were freaking out. you could tell the vibe was off as well as you saw chan on his phone but you weren't shook out of your thoughts as felix talked to you.

"you shouldn't have to spend your birthday at a filthy dance studio with us. you should be celebrating!" he said as he hugged you and you returned the hug. maybe you did need this embrace after all because you were feeling a little down as hyunjin still didn't arrive.

"i just wanted to see him lix. i'm kinda worried but i'm hoping for the best." you mumbled and he nodded as he understood how you were feeling and why you weren't acting like yourself.

"he says he's coming over here, thank god." chan said and that made you smile a little but then remembered he did not pick up any of your calls yet he picked up when chan called him. maybe he was busy before? well he could've still responded to you a bit later right?

you sat down next to seungmin as he saw how you were feeling and wanted to distract you from it. it was working until everyone saw hyunjin walk in with soohee and that was the answer to all your troubles even if it brought a storm towards you and what was going to happen.

"baby? what are you doing here?" he asked with a confused look on his face and could immediately pick up the tension in the room as the boys were glaring at him and you just looked so sad.

"oh god are you seriously looking like that because he didn't say happy birthday? how old are you?" soohee spoke and hyunjin closed his eyes as he let it sink in. he knew you two weren't in terms and this only made it worse didn't it? he left without a trace, he didn't respond to anything on his phone and he was now walking in with her as she spoke to you in such a hateful way.

"i'm just gonna go. i'm sorry for interrupting the practice guys and hyunjin, please don't come by my apartment." you said as the tears rolled down your face and you left as fast as you could. hyunjin wanted to go after you but felix stopped him because you needed to be alone for now to heal. the knot in his throat getting tighter as he thought about how he would redeem this after he fucked up so badly.

can i request hyunjin x touch starved reader?

sure you can!! fluff and a pinch of angst. newly established relationship.

Can I Request Hyunjin X Touch Starved Reader?
Can I Request Hyunjin X Touch Starved Reader?
Can I Request Hyunjin X Touch Starved Reader?

You never really had a problem with not being held; with living your life without a hand squeezing your shoulder, or gentle fingers trailing down your spine. You got used to it- to patting your own back and holding your hand in the dark.

That is until Hyunjin came into your life.

Suddenly your touch was no longer enough. You craved much more- you wanted Hyunjin to wrap himself around you, not letting go until all your years of feeling alone were erased from your memory, one by one.

But you couldn't tell him this, you were scared he'd find you too intense, too clingy. You've only been dating for two months, yet your yearning for him was overwhelming you already.

You were afraid that the line between loving him and suffocating him would blur, and that he'd want to leave. So, when he held your hand, you always let go first. And when he went to cradle your face, you quickly moved away. You didn't want to discover what would happen if you didn't.

But today, all your efforts to keep him at arms length went down the drain.

Hyunjin came over after a week of not seeing you. And as soon as you opened the door, he pulled you in for a bone-crushing hug. His head nestles in the crook of your neck, and you can feel him exhaling in relief, as if a huge weight is lifted off of him. His hand is on the back of your hair, smoothing it down gently. "Missed you," you hear him mumble, his breath tickling your skin, "missed you so much."

"I missed you too," you smile, pulling away slightly from him, as you usually do, but this time he tightens his hold on you.

You didn't know how much you needed someone not to let go of you until Hyunjin did it.

You freeze in your place as he rocks you slowly from left to right, his arms still encircling your waist. His warmth seeps from his body to yours, filling your insides entirely. You feel your eyes well with tears, as you realize that Hyunjin likes touching you. That he finds comfort in it as well- by the way he's relaxing under your hold, his breaths coming out softly now.

He's never hugged you for this long before, and you choke out a sob as he kisses your neck tenderly. "I missed hugging you," he whispers, pecking your bare skin once again. "I missed you," he repeats, trailing his hands up and down your arm, his shin now resting on your shoulder.

Your arms go limp by your sides as he pulls away from you, a wide smile on his face, only for it to disappear when he notices the tears in your eyes.

"Baby?" he asks, confusion clearly painted across his pretty features. But then you see fear growing in his eyes, as he takes a step back away from you.

"Did you not want me to hug you? I'm so sorry I should've let go when you tried to pull away. I won't- I won't do it again. Please don't cry, I'm so-" You cut him off with your mouth crashing on his. You couldn't bare seeing the distraught look on his face anymore.

"Thank you for not letting go. I needed that so much," you whisper against his lips, your hands cradling his face gently.

"Really? Then why were you crying?" he asks doubtfully, his eyes racking through your face for any sign of discomfort.

"Because no one has ever held me as tightly before." You confess quietly, and Hyunjin's eyes soften at your words, his hand reaching up to rest on your own.

"You promise? I didn't make you uncomfortable?"

"You didn't, I promise you," you smile, wrapping your arms around him to further reassure him. He holds you to him instinctively, his hand rubbing soothing circles across your back.

You both hug each other for a while, standing in the middle of your apartment, the sun rays streaming through your curtains basking you both in a golden glow.

Hyunjin places his chin on the top of your head, and you further sink into his chest. He smells nice, immensely so, and you try to find a word to describe how you're feeling in this moment. But all the descriptions pale in comparison to the warmth cursing through your veins.

You imagine that this is what butterflies feel when they finally emerge from their chrysalises. When the first breeze caresses their fluttering wings- a need satiated after a long time of waiting.

"I won't let go if you don't," you giggle, your feet growing tired from standing for so long.

"That's the plan, my love."

"We'll hug here all day then?" you grin, leaning a bit away so you'd be able to look at his face.

"Yes," he beams at you, placing a soft kiss on your forehead. "Doesn't that sound nice?"

"It does," you smile, resting your cheek on his chest once again.
