Sick Of The Very Obvious Pattern On This Website Where People Will Rb Nebulous “free Palestine!!”

Sick of the very obvious pattern on this website where people will rb nebulous “free Palestine!!” posts then proceed to ignore fundraisers, start discourse about the fundraisers being scams, pretend like seeing fundraisers on their dash is the most inconvenient thing to have ever happened to them. Like . Not that it shouldn’t be obvious, but it’s extremely suspect when you’re all for the concept of Palestinian liberation but then act like it’s an impossible request when you’re asked to apply that into tangible effort to help struggling Palestinian families evacuate and afford literal basics you take for granted

everyone please read this and share if you can.

Brazil is going through one of the worst climatic crisis ever seen.

i live in the southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. we have been suffering from extreme, nonstop rainstorms for a week now. the rivers are flooding, reaching 4-6 meters above their natural level. people are being rescued by helicopters, neighborhoods are being evacuated. entire cities are slowly but surely becoming submerged in water. 60 people missing and counting. 32 deaths and counting.

and this is not new. last november also had a flood like this one. 50 dead, many material losses. it happened again this january, with thousands being left without power or water for days.

three catastrophical disasters within less than a year. three disasters only a few months apart.

this is not natural.

unsustainable agricultural practices and politics led to this. a complete disregard for nature led to this. greed led to this. always greed.

when it comes to the climate crisis, i cannot stress this enough: we need to act now if we still want to live. disasters like this are going to happen more often and they're going to be much, much worse. this flood is being considered the worst climatic catastrophe in the history of my state. i don't know how long it will take for another bigger one to happen and take its place. i just know it will be sooner than it should.

Please don't skip hlep me and family 🇵🇸🍉🇵🇸🍉

Dear compassionate souls, I come to you with a heavy heart, burdened by our story, our lives shattered by the ongoing onslaught of violence in Gaza. Since the beginning of October we have been suffering from terrible conditions and difficulties. Living in Gaza is terrifying during these times, bombs are constantly falling and our lives are in danger. Our house was completely destroyed and we were forced us to move from khanyounis to el mawwasi with minimal personal belongings. I am Ahmed Al-Agha, 25 years old, a graduate of media and mass communication from Al-Azhar University in Gaza. I was a volunteer in the Public Relations Department at the University of Gaza. Due to the difficulty of jobs in the Gaza Strip, I had to register for a professional diploma in culinary arts, but I did not complete it due to the terrible war. After my father passed away in 2021, life pushed me to grow up early and take responsibility for my family, including my mother (samah), my brother(omar)and my three sisters, abla 20years old,yomna17years old and jody 9years old. I dream of owning a small restaurant in order to support my beautiful family. Allow me to introduce you to my family, the very core of my existence: Samah, my great mother, an Arabic language graduate, a strong, courageous, compassionate, and extremely generous mother. She loves her kitchen utensils more than anything else, and becomes very sad if a plate or cup breaks. Her main goal in life is to gain her mother’s approval and the happiness of her children in all possible ways and to do the impossible for them. Omar is an accounting graduate from Al-Aqsa University in Gaza. He is an ambitious young man with big dreams. He loves going out with his friends and driving cars. He used to work for Atlas , but at the beginning of November the company's headquarters was completely destroyed, and he is now without work. Abla is an intelligent and educated girl, she loved children and reading novels, My mother depends on her to manage the household. She prepares us the best shawarma fattah in the world and many wonderful desserts. She studies English at Al-Aqsa University and dreams of becoming an English teacher, but her dream will not come true because her university was completely destroyed. Youmna is a wonderful girl, a student in the second year of secondary school. She has a leadership personality. She was a camp leader in the Association for Culture and Free Thought. She has a talent for drawing and participates in art exhibitions in her school and in civil society institutions. She loves drinking Nescafe and listening to music when she draws. She has courses in drawing. The characters: Her dream is to create her own art gallery and to study at the College of Fine Arts. Jody, my little sister, is 9 years old. She is smart and beautiful. She worked and dreams of becoming a model in the future and has the talent of acting. She participated in an advertisement for a bridal chalet and was the heroine of the advertisement. I felt very happy to participate in the advertisement. She suffered from severe psychological disorders at the beginning of the war after she saw several children dispersed as a result of the bombing of the house opposite ours. I try to maintain her psychological state by going together to the seashore and meeting her friends in the nearby tents and playing with them so that she is not distracted by the terrible news and scenes shown on the Internet. , the war has shattered our lives, leaving us without a safe haven or a place to call it home. We are human beings, just like you. We eat, drink, watch Tom and Jerry, love to travel, and love life . The only solution to save my family is to get them out of Gaza by paying an amount of 5,000 US dollars for each of the above-mentioned people to . If the money is available, it can get them out within thirty days. ‏Please consider that the above mentioned people are your family. How would you like them to be helped ? Your help, even if it is just one dollar, Im sure that it will never forget your help

STOP DON'T SCROL

I am Osama Al-Anqar and my wife's name is Rana Raed Al-Anqar. We have a little girl.

STOP DON'T SCROL

We used to live in our house in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood. We used to live in peace and security and I had a job, but the war came and took everything from me,

STOP DON'T SCROL

first of all my brother Mahmoud, who was martyred in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital. He left behind his children and wife, and my brother Ahmed, whose front leg was amputated in the same bombing. I lost my house, my family's house, and my job. Now we have become homeless, moving from one place to another. We are gripped by fear, terror, and hunger. My daughter suffers from extreme fear and panic, and suffers from lack of food and skin diseases due to the lack of water and cleanliness.

STOP DON'T SCROL

We are in dire need of your help. We call on you to fund this fund to save my family and provide safe shelter, food, drink, and health care. Your donation is no matter what can happen to us in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means more.

UAE Declassified: Open Secrets, Sudan Crisis via praxis archives
[image description: an Emirati-made NIMR Ajban 440A in Khartoum, Sudan]
Let's cut to the chase. The United Arab Emirates has been arming the Rapid Support Forces RSF in its deadly conflict with the Sudanese Armed Forces SAF). Sudan has vast resources, and the UAEs motivation for their foreign interference is arguably as simple as wanting to guarantee its
access to Sudanese land, seaports, and
mineral and agricultural resources, including livestock and crops. Looting, land grabs, colonization, imperialism... call it whatever you want. It's happening because the UAE has the cover of impunity from the world. Via praxis_archives
$2.3 billion. That's the value of the precious metals that the UAE imported from Sudan in 2022, officially. This isn't new either: the UN estimates that $4.6 billion worth of gold was smuggled to the UAE from Sudan between 2010-14. They also receive much of the 80% of gold smuggled from Sudan. via praxis archives
"The Horn of Africa has become an arena for competing interests from the Gulf, who are financing and weaponizing local proxies,
whoever controls Sudan, controls the Red Sea.”
-ALEXANDER RONDOS. via praxis archives
Flow of weapons: United States and Serbia to United Arab Emirates (UAE also produces its own arms) to Chad and Egypt to RSF Militia in Sudan. Via praxis_archives
According to United Nations investigators, the
UAE has supplied weapons disguised as
humanitarian aid intended to help Sudanese
people sheltering in eastern Chad. The UAE has been exploiting shipping networks in neighouring countries to supply the RSF with arms and
ammunitions to fight their counterrevolutionary war against the Sudanese people. via praxis archives
Although Abu Dhabi denies doing so, there is ample evidence that the UAE has been supplying weapons and ammunition to the RSF. Before the conflict erupted. Dubai was already a key destination for the RSF's gold smuggling, providing financial lifelines to the militia. There are also reports of the UAE covertly providing weapons to the RSF under the guise of humanitarian aid, as well as UAE-manufactured armored vehicles outfitted with French-designed defense systems. The Colombian passport is evidence of international mercenaries' deployment, a hallmark of UAE operations in other regional conflicts. The UAE's support-combined with its investments in mining and agriculture
-signals a calculated bid to shape Sudan's political and economic trajectory. This interventionist strategy mirrors those employed by the UAE in Ethiopia's Tigray conflict and in Libya. where Abu Dhabi expanded its influence through military aid and economic ventures. Via praxis_archives
THE UAE IMPORTS 90% of its food, as water is scarce and little of its land is arable. Via praxis_archives
The UAE controls several land and farm operations in Sudan. International Holding Company (IHC),
the UAE'S largest listed corporation, and Jenaan Investment are farming more than 50,000 hectares in Sudan. Abu Hamad's farming project covers another 162,000 hectares of cultivated land. Via praxis_archives

-UK 'tried to suppress criticism' of alleged UAE role in arming Sudan's RSF militia
via praxis archives
UK government officials attempted to suppress criticism of the United Arab Emirates and its alleged role in supplying arms to a notorious militia waging a campaign of ethnic cleansing in Sudan, sources have told the Guardian.
Claims that Foreign Office officials put pressure on African diplomats to avoid criticising the UAE over its alleged military support for Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) will intensify scrutiny of the UK's relationship with the Gulf state. Via praxis_archives
Thousands are dying. Millions are displaced. Millions are starving. The UAE is fueling and prolonging a counterrevolutionary war to gain power and control in Sudan. It is stripping the land of its resources while indigenous Sudanese cannot
access or afford food while living upon lands that are some of the most fertile on the continent.
The Emirates are are far from being the only nationstate involved. Others include Russia, Egypt, Turkey, and Iran However, no one has benefited as much as the UAE and no one is invested as much into the conflict. It's time to seriously start reflecting on why boycotting the UAE has been so overlooked and sidelined.

[News Article headline: US rapper Macklemore cancels Dubai show over Sudan war, 28 August 2024, by Basilioh Rukanga of BBC News.]
via praxis archives
For decades, and particularly since April 16th, 2023 - Sudan has been subjected to covert and illicit foreign interference that has defied the civilian popular liberation movement. There are two major internal factions fighting for control of the country: the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The oversimplified summary is that these two groups had aligned counterrevolutionary interests until about 2021, and since then have become enemies. As Sudanese people suffer some of the most henious war crimes from both sides, the ongoing crisis has become an opportunity for foreign entities to capitalize on this suffering.
While there are many foreign powers hedging their hold of economic power, the UAE is chief among them. Their investment into the RSF is an attempt to assert financial and military dominance within a country that is abundant in resources. The UAE has long benefited from the theft and resource extraction from Sudan, and there have been many calls to boycott them - but they have largely been ignored.
The point of this post is not to provide an in-depth geopolitical and cultural history of Sudan vis-a-vis the UAE.
No social media post will ever do that, you need to do your only research.
The goal here is to push you to actually care, to spend some of your own time to learn, and honestly accept how our advocacy for Sudanese people has been materially nonexistent. Today they face the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, where millions are impacted.
Criticism of the United Arab Emirates has been a taboo subject, but we need to address their complicity. Via praxis_archived
