The quiet understanding and respect Troy gives to Abed's experience with alienation and mistreatment. Restraining his natural state of wanting to give ALL the affection, because he knows Abed can't always handle that, because he knows Abed is straining himself just as hard to actively show affection in a way that makes sense to others. That they're close enough to accept the gaps in understanding, that even if he can't give all of himself he's still enough.
