Medical appeal for my brother 💔🙏🏻
To all kind-hearted individuals and anyone who can extend a helping hand, I appeal to you in the name of humanity and for the sake of children who are suffering from pain, cold, and hunger. My brother is enduring a severe pelvic fracture caused by the recent war on Gaza. His condition is critical, and he urgently requires treatment abroad, but we cannot afford the costs of travel or the necessary medical care.
We are a family with young children who are struggling to survive the harsh winter in dire living conditions. The children go to sleep hungry and cold, and we cannot provide them with even the simplest necessities of life.
Please, this is a desperate cry for help from a mother and father who cannot protect their children from the cold and hunger. Any assistance, no matter how small, could be a lifeline for us. We are in urgent need of treatment for my brother and a warm shelter for the children to live with dignity and away from suffering.
Do not leave us alone in this hardship. You are our hope after God.

Sama family, once settled in northern Gaza, has faced unimaginable hardship since the outbreak of conflict on October 13
Sama, 13 years old, has suffered the horrors of war at such a young age. She is in the eighth grade. Two years ago, she left school and her education and did not study anything because of this aggression.. The family of six was forcibly displaced, moving south multiple times as they endured relentless bombing, destruction, and displacement.
The war has ravaged their lives profoundly. Their home was destroyed, and sama’s father, who owned a perfume business, lost everything—his shops and warehouses burned to the ground. The family’s struggle is compounded by starvation, diseases, and the constant interruption of essential services like electricity and fuel. The family’s situation is further exacerbated by the loss of their livelihoods and the death of numerous relatives.
Currently, they live in a tent, struggling to rebuild both their home and their means of support. Despite these overwhelming challenges, sama remains resolute in her pursuit of education and her determination to help her family recover from the devastation they have endured.
Help them collect the travel money, so that they can travel through the Rafah crossing, to Egypt to live safely and rebuild their lives again.

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

I am Najah Al-Haila from Gaza.
I never imagined I would find myself in a situation that would require me to write these words, but life has taken an unexpected and devastating turn. My family, consisting of my beloved husband and our four children - two daughters and two sons - is facing a crisis that we cannot overcome alone.
Our home, once filled with love and laughter, has been shattered. The roof over our heads, the walls that protected us, and the place where our children grew up are lost. We lost not only our home, but the foundations of our lives. Now, we struggle every day to survive, with nowhere to go or a way to rebuild without help.
Our children, who should be focused on school and their dreams, worry instead about where they will sleep or when their next meal will be. The weight of their fear and confusion breaks my heart. As parents, we feel helpless and unable to provide basic necessities for our loved ones.
We are urgently asking for help because we cannot do this alone. We need to rebuild not only our home, but our lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to providing our children with a safe place to sleep, food to eat, and a chance to dream again. Please, if you can find it in your heart to help us during this desperate time, we will be forever grateful to you. May your kindness and generosity be the light that guides us through this darkness.
