When Endo started spouting crap about Sakura not belonging Furin, Suo got so pissed on Sakura's behalf he straight up went ahead and drop kicked that mf lmao (even tho he sensed how truly powerful endo was)

Also, the immediate moment afterwards, when Sakura saw how his friends were defending him, he felt touched by the gesture and reassured of his place among them.

So he went to join the fray and immediately pivoted over Suo's shoulder with a hand and aimed a flying kick at Endo.

I just loved how Sakura and Suo were in sync troughout this whole arc ❤️

Their unposken, instinctive reaction to protect Nirei (the sunshine baby 🥺) the moment a truly strong enemy shows up 😭

she’s smart, she’s protective, and she doesn’t want her little brother to know

she diverts their dad’s attention, his anger, towards her once she realized he’s literally advancing onto mitsuki— physically and verbally

odds are their dad would see hitting his child as a way to show “tough love” or “shaping them”, and judging from both reactions if this is the case it’s happened enough that neither flinch

so she brings their dad’s attention back to her, with her he seems more prone to yelling insults at her— probably because she’s a girl

she keeps her facade soft when talking to mitsuki, until he turns around and she faces off to where their father walked off

she does this intentionally, she’s smart and strategic. she knows mitsuki will protect her, but she also doesn’t want him to get hurt for or because of her. so she apologizes, she acts soft and doey eyed so it doesn’t seem suspicious when she does it, to either their dad or him. dad walks off, anger ended at her, her brothers not hurt.

i just have a lot of feelings about the kiryuu siblings now, and i am ready to file them away for character examples when i have to give reports using fictional characters in psych classes (i have had to do it 3x before and it’s always kinda fun) also as an older sister who grew up in a not great home i see a lot of younger me there

cause I personally feel like… Lady Lihua and Lady Gyokuyou would be an unstoppable duo??? I can only imagine the gossip between them in regards to Maomao and Jinshi

plus in general they both love Maomao, and Lady Lihua’s respect for her always makes me emotional and happy

I feel like the emperor, Lihua, and Gyokuyou would be just… so fun to see interact all together

I get it probably won’t happen cause the ingrained rivalry and all that jazz but
