I can't help but laugh,
At your insane remedies,
For our long gone love,
Will stay buried,
I can never bother to hate you,
There is no need,
I'm just glad,
That you suffer my pain.
Flourish in the deep scent,
Of spring's blossoms,
As the breeze whispers nature's name,
An elegant flight of drifting cranes,
No waiting for mere relent,
As trees bow to the critters along,
The choir of the sparrow's song,
The coming of April, June, and May,
And those souls who always pray.
What am I to you?
I feel like it's my cue,
To put my hand in the air,
Since you said you cared,
Just to leave me there.
So few rememeber,
The definition of joy,
Now it's already December,
A few weeks,
Till a whole new year.
We wipe away the tears,
Saying we're all clear,
Pretending that others are not in fear,
Living just for our own selves,
Hiding the secrets in shelves,
Smiling in fake cheer.
Now that you lied,
Now that you think you tried,
Now that you are free,
You forget to be there for me.
I'm not waiting anymore.
I thought you knew before,
But you're just another traitor,
Thinking I'm just a hater.
Opening the door,
I turn my back,
Bringing my pack,
Waving my hand,
Setting off to a new land.
I'm sorry,
But there's no choice better.
It may tear us apart,
Scar our hearts,
However,
I only have one thing to say.
"Goodbye."
Please, I beg you, I’m sorry.
Trying to please those around me,
Trying to ask for nothing more than freedom,
Trying to please you, just saying please,
Please, forgive me.
I tried to hide from you,
I tried to run,
I tried to ignore the darkening skies,
But now you caught me,
And put me into chains,
Forcing me to follow your reign,
So I please you,
I bring you what you ask,
No matter how hard the task,
Even if you slap me,
The red mark on my face,
Deep and cutting,
Though I don’t cry,
I never really asked for pity,
I only ask you,
To forgive me.
Please, please, please,
Just let me go,
Stop taunting me,
Stop forcing me,
Stop killing me,
Stop hurting me,
Stop tearing me,
All I ask for,
Is to be free,
And I will please.
Please, forgive me,
Please, release me,
Please, let my soul,
Go.
Horizons by TheHen
The sun’s setting,
The mix of memories,
Intertwined with the warm colors,
Through sunrise and sunset,
Through the rising tide,
We ride,
Along the horizons.
Horizons are where land and sky merge,
Where the possibilities emerge,
There is not one horizon,
But infinite horizons.
Look afar,
And watch the gliding seagulls,
As they twist and turn and soar,
Along the horizons.
We see one line,
But maybe it’s just too fine,
Because beyond the horizon,
Lies unknown hope and faith.
We are mortal,
With lives that can die,
And fade away,
But if you wish,
If you try,
We can fly,
Along the horizons.
Our faces,
Pelted with the crashing waves,
And the howling wind,
But the horizons,
So beautiful,
The sunrise and set,
Illuminate the skies into something more.
The tears that leak from our eyes,
Not sorrow,
But joy,
The smiles that will be true,
After the sight,
It’s nothing like we’ve seen before,
Like the magnificent stars and endless skies,
But, something, just something more.
The blinding light,
It erases the night,
Horizons,
Are more than what meets the eye,
Like the glowing speck of life,
Yet so vast,
We feel like crying,
With smiles of the newfound unknown.
Walk along the shores,
And watch afar,
Beyond the seas and depths,
Beyond the shadows and people,
Our delight like the brightest light,
Stride through and try,
To fly above the skies,
Along the horizons.
