It's Funny How,

It's funny how,

We look at words,

We are stunned by their meaning,

We give them so much prestige,

We are enchanted by their form,

Yet it is almost never thought,

That it all comes from our eyes,

From the other world,

Of silent nature.

Guided By Stars by The Hen

Those pinpoints of light,

That shine through the night,

Magnificent twilight, along with the waning moon,

I hope that peace is coming soon.

If all is lost, all is gone,

Never be swallowed,

By the haunting shadows.

The stars are there,

To guide you,

Among unknown terrain,

For eternal time.

I watch,

As the future comes to pass,

Life has changed,

For all of us.

Those we left behind,

In our years of the past,

We miss, and we wish,

To see them one last time.

Reach for the stars,

For your dreams,

For your wishes.

Grasp and cherish what,

Defines the endless galaxy,

And the everlasting of memories,

That lies in our hearts.

Soar through the sky,

And find what you wish,

Speak and ask,

The stars and stars,

For they will guide you,

And bring your mind and soul,

To forever rest,

And forever harmony.

Guided by stars,

I walk down my path,

And seek afar.

The wishes,

That have been cast by the shooting beauty,

Be true,

With the moonlight and the twilight,

In sync,

Always there to guide our lives.

Swallow's Dance

The azure, gentle swallow,

Perched on its branch,

The leaves that rustle and whisper,

Accompanying the twitters and chirps,

The beautiful melody gliding through,

The seams of the windows,

Mesmerizing in its trance.

Then the wind blew,

As the leaves chattered,

The tree strong, unwilling to bow,

To the relentless storm,

Protecting the swallow,

Who hid among the branches,

Feeble and silent.

No songs float through the air,

Though the rain takes its place,

Splitter, Splatter,

A collective rhythm,

Amplified by the wind’s howl,

And the bustling of the leaves.

As the swallow slept soundly,

Through the lullaby of the rain,

It awoke at the crack of dawn,

Ruffled its feathers,

Then took flight in its wake,

A magnificent sight as its slender body,

And the long waving tail,

Glided above the skies,

The feathers fluttering,

Sweeping the air with it,

The dance and the song,

A sign of life, harmonious nature,

A beauty to behold,

A swallow’s stance,

And its remarkable dance.

Cloudless Nights

I still remember the days,

When there were no cities,

No lights, no streets,

Silence, no fray,

Just skies,

Of shadows and moons.

I guess it was inevitable,

Yet I couldn’t help but say,

That if you gave me one more day,

I would have never left you here,

Alone, lost in this festering fear,

You don’t need to believe me,

But I tried,

And when I simply couldn’t,

I cried.

I breathe my sighs,

Into the sinking air,

Blinded by lies,

Why is life so unfair?

Now it is the fog of regret,

That hangs over me,

Haunting in its silent breeze,

Taunting our memories,

I try to stifle the tears away,

Though impossible to keep much at bay,

I am sullen,

With hollow pain,

With the yearning,

That you’ll come back to me one day.

I wish we could go back,

To those cloudless nights,

When we could see those stars,

And laugh about our silly flaws,

And cry about our scars still raw,

And fall silent for whatever cause,

I just wished,

We were never so far.

The days when I dream,

The days when I stand,

And stare out the window,

Through the misty fog,

No one in sight,

No car passing by,

Just the keen silence,

And peace overcoming defiance,

No sound,

No one found,

Just the pure rain,

Nourishing the ground.

I lived a life,

Of solitude,

No dove,

No traps of love,

The sunrise,

A sign of no demise.

I never tracked time,

I was always sublime,

Yet then came fortitude,

Destroying my solitude.

I

Had

No

Choice.

I tried to flee,

My legs tied to the knees,

I couldn’t run fast enough.

So I turned,

No more running,

No more sputtering,

Fortitude replacing solitude,

Barren pain,

Stabbed

Right

Through.

Now my days,

No longer quiet,

A presence,

Waiting,

Peace is gone,

War awaits,

There shall be no silence,

For several years,

Till change is here.

Fling the snow into the air,

On to the trees who are bare,

Dazzle the skies with a pure white,

Now Winter feels just alright.

I remember the day, when I opened the door,

And I looked upon a cat, upon the soaked floor,

It’s abyssal fur frizzled, the color of midnight,

The yellow eyes, with a tint of light,

Stared at me, with unknown resilience,

Testing me for something that I ought to know,

Yet, suddenly it began to snow,

Flurries, soft, and gentle,

And when they smothered the night,

It blanketed the cat,

Who plodded inside,

Who had the slyest smile,

Who came to my legs, and leaned its head,

The purring ever so slightly,

The little paws gripping on tightly,

The stray cat, so calm, so warm,

Its breathing body strong amidst the cold,

And it fell asleep within my home.

The single feather,

That flutters so feebly,

In the calm breeze,

As if time would almost freeze.

The softest wind,

That escapes my lips,

The feather rising high,

And low,

From the ever-changing tide,

Of the rhythm of time.

Horizons by TheHen

The sun’s setting,

The mix of memories,

Intertwined with the warm colors,

Through sunrise and sunset,

Through the rising tide,

We ride,

Along the horizons.

Horizons are where land and sky merge,

Where the possibilities emerge,

There is not one horizon,

But infinite horizons.

Look afar,

And watch the gliding seagulls,

As they twist and turn and soar,

Along the horizons.

We see one line,

But maybe it’s just too fine,

Because beyond the horizon,

Lies unknown hope and faith.

We are mortal,

With lives that can die,

And fade away,

But if you wish,

If you try,

We can fly,

Along the horizons.

Our faces,

Pelted with the crashing waves,

And the howling wind,

But the horizons,

So beautiful,

The sunrise and set,

Illuminate the skies into something more.

The tears that leak from our eyes,

Not sorrow,

But joy,

The smiles that will be true,

After the sight,

It’s nothing like we’ve seen before,

Like the magnificent stars and endless skies,

But, something, just something more.

The blinding light,

It erases the night,

Horizons,

Are more than what meets the eye,

Like the glowing speck of life,

Yet so vast,

We feel like crying,

With smiles of the newfound unknown.

Walk along the shores,

And watch afar,

Beyond the seas and depths,

Beyond the shadows and people,

Our delight like the brightest light,

Stride through and try,

To fly above the skies,

Along the horizons.
