I think one of the reasons drag kings aren’t as popular as drag queens, aside from the fact that straight women don’t like us, is that people are uncomfortable acknowledging masculinity as a performance. Like we as a society know that femininity is a performance, with its own costumes and rules. Masculinity is also a performance, and nothing makes that more clear than someone making an exaggeration of it
ao3 went down in the middle of the night and everyone went crazy in the down detector comments

Production houses: but if the writers stay on strike we can't guarantee the future safety of your favorite shows 🥺🥺😭😭
Viewers who 1, have already lost their favorite shows because they were cancelled in spite of good ratings and good reviews or 2, have stopped watching new content entirely until the entire series has aired and concluded as a result of so many good shows getting cancelled on cliffhangers and thus leaving said viewers unable to gain closure with those characters and with a hollow viewing experience, so they've begun a, watching older shows they know came to a planned conclusion or b, revisiting their old favorites and enjoying the nostalgia or c, reading new books or fanfic instead: YOU ALREADY CAN'T GUARANTEE THE FUTURE OF OUR SHOWS SO GET FUCKING WRECKED AND PAY WRITERS WHAT THEY DESERVE!
It's really the reaction of the boys when Karen says she'll "take those coffees" back for me.
Yesterday, Palestinian and solidarity organizers disrupted a Biden campaign event 14 times during his speech on the protection of women's rights. These activists called out hypocrisy because Biden and his administration are actively causing a reproductive care catastrophe in Gaza.
50,000 pregnant women do not have access to healthcare in Gaza, and C-sections are being performed without anesthesia. Women and children in Gaza are being killed by U.S.-made and supplied bombs.

[ID: Transcription of what the protesters are saying, while security personnel try to get them out:
Israel kills two mothers every hour in Gaza. Ceasefire now! End the genocide! Ceasefire!
Women in Gaza are being murdered. Killing people in Gaza is a war crime. You are a war criminal.
Stop funding genocide! Ceasefire now!
50,000 pregnant women don't have healthcare. Their blood is on your hands. Ceasefire!
Ceasefire now! Stop funding genocide! Gaza is a reproductive issue.
Free, free Palestine!
The end of the video shows article headlines with photos of the protesters or of Joe Biden, from various news organizations:

Again the @BBCNews fails to say Israel killed Refaat Alareer, let alone the truth, which is that like Shireen Abu Akleh, he was assassinated.
Instead, they obfuscate and sanitize Israeli war crimes by removing Israel from the fact of their murder of @refaat17.
WHO killed him? This @BBCWorld headline intentionally leaves it vague.
Time and time again the @BBC and too many others intentionally advance the idea that Palestinians just die on their own in the thousands, in targeted attacks on civilians.
I love him!!
so uh. Was anyone going to tell me that the pink fairy armadillo is only six inches long
"why do we even have that lever" is made funnier by the fact there are only 2 levers to begin with (disguised as a pair of tusks on a statue)
i find the implications hilarious:
kronk only had to remember the location of one lever, and couldn't even manage that
but on the other hand, it's easy to get two identical unlabelled levers confused, this one's on yzma tbh
yzma only needed to make one lever to begin with, but she actively chose to turn the second tusk into a functioning trapdoor. she could have just...just not connected the second tusk to anything. it didn't need to have a function
upon reflection, this also answers the question itself: "why do we even HAVE that lever?" it's because yzma herself specifically designed it as a booby trap. "why do we have that lever?" because yzma had it built to keep people out of her secret lair! yzma made the very purposeful choice to put that lever there! and then both she and her inept henchman immediately forgot about her own booby trap! yzma that is YOUR LEVER!!!!!
Hey y'all. With the Writer's Guild of America on strike, you might be hearing a lot more about something called "residuals," which are payments that the writers get for the studios continuing to air their work on reruns and such. Already I'm seeing people trying to frame the union trying to bargain for better residuals as greedy and unreasonable, so I just wanted to give you guys a peek into my dad's full, 100% real residual payments for writing some of the most watched episodes of American late night television.
Yeah lol. If u hear anyone trying to frame the conversation around residuals as writers being greedy, please do me a favor and punch them straight in the face ❤️🙃🙃
Hi Lindi, thank you for using your platform to spread awareness on the crimes committed against Palestinians.

This post indicates that donations may not actually reach Gaza; but there is a way to help them by purchasing e-sims so they get reconnected to the Internet. There is also a linked guide on how to do so:
I was hoping if you could share this with your larger audience reach.
Thanks, and stay safe.
Hello anon - thank you for letting me know, I'm sorry for not looking into that further before sharing links, and thank you for bringing up the e-sims situation.
here is a twitter thread that'll teach you all how to buy e-sims for Palestinians. You might ask what's the point of this? It's to allow them more access to open communication as the blackout showed us how terrifyingly isolating it can be for them to feel so alone.
You'll also be glad to know that the wifi has been reconnected for Palestinians and coverage is up and running again, although spotty at times. Please keep palestinians in your thoughts!
