You’re in your 20s saying seggs and unalive… Maybe worry about that
Only insecure women hate Bellatrix.
“why isn’t there any fic about (x)?” there can be a fic that is precisely about what you want to read. just start writing that fic for yourself.
“but I’m not a writer” every writer has had their first time writing. most writers start with writing something they want to read. your work doesn’t have to be perfect, because having 1 fic that is precisely about what you want to read, even if it’s not perfect, is still better than having 0 fics about what you want to read.
I just know Druella Black was the biggest gossip of the pure-blood society (as she should). She knew everything about everyone.
i think you all could stand to be nicer to lesbians
Bellatrix was probably fully convinced that Andromeda was the problem because she betrayed them for some muggle-born boy. To her, it was her little sister who chose someone she knew for a few years, max, over their family. And Bellatrix believed in punishments. Actions have consequences and Andromeda deserved cruelty in exchange of what she had done.
Following her disownment, whenever Andromeda got angry, she flinched every time she looked into a mirror because the reflection that stared back at her was the face of Bellatrix’s cruelty. Sometimes, Andromeda allowed it to hurt if it meant she could imagine what Bellatrix looked like, just to feel a little bit closer to her. After the Battle of Hogwarts, though, Andromeda got rid of all her mirrors. This time, it was not her sister she saw but the person who killed her daughter. She couldn’t bear looking at herself anymore.
Thinking about how Ted probably told Andy about the cinema and she absolutely begged him to take her to one for weeks until he finally did.
He takes her to the nearest muggle city. Their theater is by no means impressive, if anything it’s quite quaint. He purchases tickets to a movie he thinks will do and buys them a box of popcorn to share. The entire time Andy is buzzing with excitement. She asks every question she can think of beginning with how many movies have you seen? and ending somewhere around why are muggle candy boxes so simplistic?
They finally take their seats. Not too high up, not too far down, perfectly in the middle of the rows. As the opening credits roll he watches the excitement on Andy’s face turn to wonder. She leans in during tense moments, she laughs at all the jokes, she claps when the protagonist makes a narrow escape, and she gasps when the plot twist is revealed. He couldn’t tell you any of the details happening on screen but it didn’t matter. It didn’t compare to the girl next to him.
it makes me sad the way cis women are so terrified of and disgusted by their own body hair. and i'm not talking "i have to shave for sensory reasons" i mean i keep seeing videos of women using hair identifier spray on their faces and hands so they can shave the tiniest barely-there bits of peach fuzz that came free with their bodies. hair that serves a purpose and that purpose is cleanliness and protection. i mean when i was in elementary school girls who had barely hit puberty were talking about shaving their arms. i mean full-grown adult women who will have a breakdown if they see two days of stubble on their legs/crotch/ jaw/pits because god forbid you don't look like a perfect plastic barbie doll. god forbid your body that keeps you alive comes with hair that may not be soft and glossy and photogenic. some women are so afraid of having any hair apart from their head and eyebrows that they've uno reversed themselves into six different kinds of gender dysphoria that they can't recognize as such because they're convinced that this unnatural state of highly-groomed capital-informed beauty is how women have always been. you're so scared of looking "gross" or "ugly" or "mannish" that you can't even look at your body in the mirror and recognize what it is. sister you are an ape. why are you so determined to deny your nature.
james' birthday today, the father of all bisexuals in the world. happy birthday my dearest.
I think the relationship with Narcissa and her father was very distant. She was always a mummy’s girl, she looked like her mother, acted like her, was her mother’s favourite.
I think Cygnus had wanted a son, but I think in time he felt guilty about it. I think he looked at Narcissa and wanted to say so many things but couldn’t. I like to think that as they grew older, as Andromeda left and Bella became what she became, Narcissa and Cygnus got closer.
Even with a family like theirs I like to imagine soft little moments, like Narcissa playing with little Draco, and Cygnus watching them, maybe regretting that he didn’t build similar memories with her.
Everyone must have thought that Narcissa is so much like her mother, but deep down she was her father’s girl, too. The youngest siblings, maybe a bit more quiet and calculative than their siblings, in a way they were so much alike.
