and heres just the lineart because i love nice crisp weighted lines.

rene had such a great way with body language which he leaned on during his performance as odo- i assume because his face was covered by a creepy skin-mask the whole time, limiting his facial expressions. very fun to see how he portrays this really gruff grumpy dude in his posture. he’s always skulking around with his head low and his nose high.

so i’ve finally got a good grasp on how to draw odo with stylistic flair. drawing goo is both meditatively fun and horribly tedious, 7/10.

i like his eyes. look at em. what a freak.

Before I started watching DS9, I had read several bad things about Keiko, and I wondered what might make her character so disliked. Turns out it was just being a woman in a misogynistic world xddd

If you ask me, the problem with Keiko is we don't get enough Keiko.

the religious storylines on ds9 are crazy if you really think about it. imagine being in the mall and seeing the gates of heaven open outside auntie anne's pretzels

Another thing that occurs to me about Odo, Re: his "inability" to do faces, is that if *I* were a detective who could make myself look like anyone, I might not want that fact to be generally known. And if I were a changeling who resented having to pretend to be humanoid in order to operate in their society, I might do some subtle thing in order to set myself off from them; remind them that I'm not like them.

Anyways, Odo can do faces.

kira nerys is such a funny character to me. imagine if your boss was also like a religious, holy figure that you personally believe in. but he doesn’t want to be a religious figure so you try to keep it low key. also he wants to play baseball with you.

Oh, to peacefully rest one againts another after a particularly bad Defiant mission. I really like how this turned out!! :D I was going to apologize for overposting, but I'm on a roll and this is tumblr so who cares.
