This is a female "he/they". I'm so exhausted by seeing these people become convinced that they're "bad at being a girl" when they're literally female.
TRAs loveee to say that women getting boob jobs, laser hair removal, botox, filler, etc. and men getting gynecomastia surgery or hair transplants are all “gender affirming care” but every single one of those things is solely intended to help a person fit more neatly into gendered beauty standards and I just don’t understand how they don’t see that they’re fully telling on themselves. Like it’s one of the most blatant examples of their core belief that gender=superficial stereotypes and that their ideology is entirely based on reinforcing binary gender norms.
Getting very sick of trans-identified men making creepy, voyeuristic media about the violence and suffering that women and girls experience at the hands of men.
a critique of radfems i always see on here is “oh they’re just so obsessed with biology, oh they’re just so obsessed with their period and stuff, they reduce women to their biology, ew”
which i haven’t seen that in that reductive way , and well. can you blame em for being “obsessed” with biology? in a world where women are oppressed based on biology? where our biological functions are seen as gross and bedeviled and shit?!
so uh yeah maybe we should have a little more celebration of our biology.
running from observable reality gets you nowhere.

there was one experience i had in a college class in 2018 i keep thinking about
went to a very liberal college and was in the english program and so at that time everything was about gender ideology, queer theory, obviously propagating the liberal TRA perspective.
one girl spoke up questioning transness and cited the fact of trans-identified-males assaulting people in bathrooms.
and everyone else got so uncomfortable and acted like she said something violent & shrieked defenses like “That’s made up” or “that’s just in the UK”
the room was so uncomfortable and glared at her and she was basically silenced
i was part of the uncomfortable crowd because those situations are comfortable. and i believed in transness and gender ideology at that time. so i did think she was wrong.
but that girl was right! she was so right and brave to question this ideology and attitude she was having to endure in her classes!
sometimes i regret that i spent so much money on those classes, on that degree, just to be indoctrinated. i could’ve gone somewhere else and done a different program and learned the same skills but through better means.
If we can all agree to call Robert Prevost by his new chosen name of Leo XIV then we can all call trans people by their chosen names. It’s not hard.
TIL men consider themselves to be without human rights if they can’t legally pretend to be women
Imagine telling disabled children they're born in the wrong body or born the wrong way. Imagine telling autistic children they're born wrong. You wouldn't. But gnc kids? Yes those kids are born in the wrong body, let's stunt their growth and mutilate their bodies before they've even reached adulthood or before their brains have had the chance to mature yet, just because they didn't like sexist stereotypes. It's like a punishment. Punishment for not falling in line and obeying the patriarchal gender roles. You either conform or go through the meatgrinder and conform to the other mold. I cannot view it as anything other than that, a punishment.
Do you think that the trans movement is going to fail and backfire eventually? Also, do you think that it will lead to more homophobia on the general public's part?
yes and yes
it's already backfiring, public opinion is swinging the other way even independent of libsoftiktok-level psychos
the general public is unable to distinguish between the gay community and the trans community, which is something the trans movement leverages for their own legitimacy, so yeah the blowback is a rise in homophobia and misogyny
like the narrative from the trans movement is "we're the front line, the conservatives are gonna go after us and then they're gonna go after women and gay people" when in reality the conservatives don't see a meaningful difference between the groups
leading to stuff like this where legislation is explicitly and intentionally targeting married women and the trans take is "how can i make this about me"
like obviously this legislation is more concerned about controlling the votes of every woman married to a republican voter than a handful of hentai addicts but they're positioning themselves as the canary in the coal mine and everyone is getting sick of it
but of course they're never gonna have to answer for the damage they caused to feminist and gay rights activism because they'll just call everyone terfs and run away
