"ekko had to give up paradise" as if staying in the alternate timeline was ever an option in ekko's mind. the truth is, from the moment he got there he was desperately looking for a way home. seeing zaun that way, being with powder and benzo and his friends and family, brought him joy, but more than that, it gave him hope. hope for his home, for his power. he never for a second considered staying in that perfect reality. even in his moments with alt powder, he doesn't say he wishes he could stay. he only wishes to stop time and remain in that moment of happiness. but for ekko, it could never really be his paradise if it wasnt his home. and that's why it had to be him.

THE WHOLE POINT OF HIM GOING BACK IS BECAUSE HE REALIZED HE NEEDED TO LOVE JINX AS MUCH AS HE LOVED POWDERD. THEY ARE THE FUCKING SAME PERSON. AND IF HE ONLY CARED ABOUT ONE SIDE HE WOULD HAVE STAYED HIS ASS IN THE ALT DIMENSION!

They were both hurting, they both did and said shit they didn't mean. Ekko looking at Powder healthy and happy made him realize. Jinx could heal, that his love didn't just stop. It never went away, he still loved her. Its why he gentle with her, why he rewinds time. Its why he corrects himself.

Jinxs will literally haunt him because all this time spent angry could have been used to reset like they did when they finally talked.

you would think after a lifetime of hearing the most powerful politicians in the world, the biggest media outlets in the world, and the smallest and most despicable human beings in the world talk about palestinians (and by extension, arabs, and by extension, muslims) like savage, sub-human animals i would be used to it but im not. the unfairness of it all. to be colonized, occupied, imprisoned and killed for so long that it is a matter on record, it is par on course, its mowing the lawn, and still considered the villain. this is why the palestinian cause has never died and can never die. because once you understand the injustice of it, once you truly understand it and bear witness to it, it scars you.
