Leo The Artist - barbershop . . . This piece is another product of the same collaboration. Thought it was good enough with the pattern overlaid on it. Really gets at what barbershop and salons mean to people, especially black people. The barber's chair is our version of a psychotherapist reclining chair; the barber is the psychotherapist who most of the time allows us to come to our own conclusions about the things that come up as psychologist are said to do. The stillness that barbershop demand as we wait to get our haircut, and as we sit getting our hair cut, forces the issues of life to the back so we can meditate and reflect - as you can see in the face of the kid in the piece above. The pattern overlaid represents the free thoughts roaming both inside and around everyone in the barbershop. Mind you, all of this came to me when I was working on the piece. It's pretty beautiful if you think about it. Stay up and stay peaceful!
Leo The Artist - vortex . . . These two version came from a collaboration with a few of my friends. They are my own rift on a particular branch on glitch art. I didn't really pursue to create a glitch piece. I was messing around with a square plain of dots that I found a way to warp and bend. That plain became the three spheres you see in the middle of these two pieces, with a rainbow gradient added on top. sometimes a artist my come across or come up with a interest and unique object, sound, material, or form. These things can really motivate an artist to focus on the piece to its completion. Unfortunately, they also can cause artist to overload a piece because they like that sound or object so much. Artist can also overload a piece in the effort to stay in a certain style. What I've learn is to keep in mind what demands to be the focus of a piece and not drown it with to many things. I feel Kanye West does this well. It is most apparent in his album 'Yezzus' where there are a limited number instruments used on each track to give a unique sound space to make more of an impact. This is what I tried to do with these pieces. I had to go back and take off a few things including a image of mega-man. Still however, I think I filled up these pieces to its brink when comes to too many things included. That's what I like about it though. Gotta Respect the artist IQ.
Leo the artist - way to much soul (version 2) This one as you can see is not that different. The only real difference is that it comes off way more organized and controlled. That is due to the positioning of the typeface. It much more modern, minimalistic, pop-arty, and slightly more playful in my opinion.
Leo the artist - way too much soul. @leotheartist I always feel weird about posting two version of the same piece on any platform. But honestly Who cares if it's the same thing as long as it's done purposely. This first one I feel is more impactful due to amount that the typeface covers more of the piece and how much it is extruding out from a undefined point beyond the boarder of the image. It represents a metaphorical heart of the piece and message behind it, that x factor that excites and gives purpose. The next piece is a little different. #posterart #poster #graphicdesign#graphicposter #photoshop #3d #illustrator#visualart #somuchsoul #typeface #type#color #design #artwork #popart
leo the artist - conflict for peace @leotheartist
But the attainment of peace is not as easy as the desire for it. Not for nothing is history associated with the figure of nemesis, which defeats man by fulfilling his wishes in a different form or by answering his prayers too completely. Those ages which in retrospect seem most peaceful were least in search of peace. Those whose quest for it seems unending appear least able to achieve tranquility. Whenever ever peace — conceived as the avoidance of war— has been the primary objective of a power or a group of powers, the international system has been at the mercy of the most ruthless member of the international community. Whenever the international order has acknowledged that certain principles could not be compromised even for the sake of peace, stability based on an equilibrium of forces was at least conceivable.
This is what I am expressing in this piece. Sometimes conflict is necessary for peace. Not revenge but defense and prevention.

Scale Up(vertical integration) - Leo The Artist - @leotheartist -
Vertical integration is a strategy where a firm acquires business operations within the same production vertical. It can be forward or backward in nature. Vertical integration can help companies reduce costs and improve efficiencies by decreasing transportation expenses and reducing turnaround time, among other advantages. However, sometimes it is more effective for a company to rely on the established expertise and economies of scale of other vendors rather than trying to become vertically integrated.
