I know your first impulse is to despair. To say we’re fucked. To feel desperate and hopeless. I feel it. We all feel it.
But Notorious RBG would not have wanted us to lie down and accept defeat.
She’d have wanted us to fight like hell. And that’s what we’re going to do.

Someone took some advice from a Nightmare about how to be suave
My friend is embarrassed and thinks she’s the only one and I said id prove her wrong.
Me? In love with someone who’s not a fictional character? Fat chance.

Me:
Let’s see how many of us there are!
fuck the fact that trump is going to nominate someone to the court who will be antithetical to everything Justice Ginsburg stood for and fought for. fuck the fact that republicans will confirm that nominee even though voting has literally already started for this election. fuck the fact that the Supreme Court is now poised to undue any semblance of progressive litigation for the rest of our lives.
but you know what? more than anything else, FUCK the fact that THIS is the conversation we are having right now– instead of having the space and capacity to simply mourn the loss of a woman who fought so hard for justice her entire life, who was a trailblazer in every sense of the word, who deserves to be mourned and honored in her own right, not like this.
