Day 16 (Honestly I didn’t expect to make it this far) with Leora Lightyear, Leo for short. This is an AU story where Zurg got his shit together and actually took over the universe, destroying Star Command and Buzz Lightyear just straight up disappeared after the fight, leaving behind his kid.
Lily of the Valley can mean “return to happiness” and Leo certainly wishes she could return to her days with her dad exploring planets.

I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly. :( Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy! You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through. You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way! Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!! Love your art, love yourself!
At a Halloween happy hour recently in Washington, D.C., a small crowd gathered to celebrate the relationship between bats and spirits.
Not spooky spirits. Instead, think tequila and mescal.
“We’re here at a bar tonight to talk about [bats], because they are intimately tied to agave,” announced Mike Daulton, the executive director of Bat Conservation International, a nonprofit devoted to the well-being of bats.
You can’t have tequila without agave, the spiky desert plant used as its base. And it’s hard to have agave without bats — because a few species of these winged creatures are the plant’s primary pollinators. Agave co-evolved with bats over thousands of years. As a result, it’s one of the very few plants that pollinates at night. Daulton says industrial agave farming adversely affects both plants and bats.
