Fuck NaNoWriMo

It's always been a shit way to write a book. Slamming through fifty thousand words in a month leads to burnout and a garbage draft you'll spend more time unfucking than if you'd actually just paced yourself.

I'm proposing Novel Outline November

Start with your idea on November 1st.

Write something for your novel every day. The only unacceptable amount is 0.

Attempt to complete the plot in 50K words. Stick with that as a limiting factor so you focus on what's most important to your story.

When it's done it's done! Everyone is a winner!

You will

Develop good writing habits

Challenge yourself to write long form

Create a base that can be expanded into commercial fiction (70-100K) or genre fiction (100-110K)

Happy writing!

A Reminder To The "the American Government Wouldn't..." Crowd. They Have. They Have Made Their Own Internment

A reminder to the "the American government wouldn't..." crowd. They have. They have made their own internment camps before. They have rounded up innocent citizens and immigrants before. The victims of which are still alive to this day and trying to share their stories with the world, they have been trying to warn us for a long time. George Takei (as seen above) is a famous example of this. He has written about his experiences time and time again, even publishing a book talking about his time in these camps. He may be famous now, but at the time he was just another kid forced from his home. To this day he still firmly dedicates himself to trying to educate and inform people, trying to spread awareness with his platform. The American Government can and will do terrible things. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise.

KENDRICKS PROFORMANCE. KENDRICKS. PROFORMANCE.

1. When he went silent for the word pedophile he looked at trump which caused Trump to leave the stadium

2. One of his people came on stage and waved a palestine and Sudan flag and ran across the field well being chased by security

3. The people wearing red white and blue formed the us flag and then moved around at the end to turn into the trans flag

4. He talked abt how the superbowl is rigged

5. When booking him the NFL asked why there weren't any white ppl on stage and his manager said "I thought we didn't do DEI hires anymore"

6. He brought up SERENA WILLIAMS. Her blackness has been fucking dogged on and she crip walked.

+TONS more stuff. He knows he's not fucking coming back and he doesn't want to.

FUCK FOOTBALL. FUCK THE NFL. ART WILL ALWAYS SHOW THE HEART OF THE PEOPLE.

i genuinely dont care if the creation of all media comes to a screeching halt btw i will very gladly live with no new movies no new tv shows no new anything for years if that's what it takes for the people who create them to be treated like human beings. i hope every other facet of the entertainment industry goes on strike too and i hope all the ones that havent unionised yet will. i want media creation to become completely impossible and i want the people who could make it possible again to hold out until they get every single thing they want. btw

Central To The Film Is A Reclamation Of The Orpheus Myth, A Version Of Which The Three Young Women Read

Central to the film is a reclamation of the Orpheus myth, a version of which the three young women read aloud together one night. Sophie registers distress at Orpheus’s fatal, selfish incompetence in looking back at Eurydice when he was told not to, and Marianne suggests he may have done it on purpose, preferring to lose the woman and savor, instead, the romance of his grief, making not “the lover’s choice, but the poet’s.” But it’s Héloïse who removes, for once, the fixation on Orpheus, his failings, and his loss. What if, she says to Marianne with an edge of defiance, it was Eurydice herself who chose art over staying together, who rather than leave the underworld with Orpheus, stopped and called out “Turn around,” preferring to remain down there and be preserved in poetry. A kind of freedom and a kind of permanence, rather than, as eighteenth-century marriage looks to be, an unwilling exchange of one for the other. —  In Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Love is a Work of Art
