I hate being in that mood where nothing’s really wrong but nothing feels right either

This is rough, I have to admit I did not think I would start feeling this bad…the shutdowns, physical distancing and constant bad news, it feels surreal sometimes. AND I don’t have kids and didn’t even have a school or job to go to before, and this is taking a mental and emotional toll on me. So I just can’t imagine how truly rough this is for people who have actually lost jobs, have bills they can’t pay, children at home to take care of, or people who do have jobs and still have to go to them in fear. Idk, and I won’t even try to comprehend the people who are actually sick or lost someone during this time. I’m just pathetically speechless most of the time. This is rough.

My love goes out to all of you! (that probably ain’t worth a damn) but sadly, all I got right now is love and prayers.

I got out there and I was so freaking nervous as I’m sure you can imagine I would be. I don’t think I’ve ever done anything of that magnitude, and I looked out into the audience and saw one person standing up looking at me with total peace on her face, and it was Janelle Monae and it really touched me. I lost all my nervousness and just sang it to her, and then everybody else rose to follow her, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget that.
