idk much about the watcher lore but i like it when it turns grian purple

also here are some things about their designs i’d like to mention!

cleo - i don’t see much fanart of her contorting her body like a zombie!!! so here we are

bdubs - i was watching empires s2 when the hermits visited, and subconsciously drew him in the mc skin he had on at the time 😭

impulse - i remember watching a clip of someone saying that artists drew him as an “imp” because of his username so i ran with that!!

skizz - i dont come across much fanart of him and only had his mc skin (and vibes) as reference 🥲 i hope i drew him the way he sounds like though🤞

grian - i drew him before but i wanted to draw him with his beady eyes and his glasses this time!

watcher grian - tried going for a seraphim angel vibe (and added the lighting based from that arcane s2 scene of jayce getting possessed by viktor?? idk)

anyways i can’t promise if i’ll draw the rest of the members but…….here’s part 1!

My followers know I hate talking about politics and current events, and generally refuse to do so, but this is important.

A bill has been introduced in the US that would make all pornography a federal crime. Owning it. Creating it. Distributing it.

Under this law, fanart of nude characters would be a federal crime.

Under this law, depictions of homosexuality or simply being transgender, would be considered pornography and a federal crime.

This bill is not going to pass.

However, the reason for this bill is to continue to push the "overton window". The reason for this bill is to make banning pornography seem more and more normal to everyone until they can actually do that.

And remember, they consider depictions of gay characters and transgenders characters "pornography" in any context, including platonic.

They have been working on this for a decade now and it has been working.

If you are one of the people in fandom who thinks that "nasty" porn on AO3 should be banned because it's "icky" or "immoral", then this mental scam is working on you.

Censorship is never about protecting people.

Censorship is always about control.

Do not let the rising moral panic affect your mind and make you weak to propaganda that lets others control you and control what you watch and read.

Do not fall for the scam.

When they say they are going to ban "pornography" it means they're going to ban anything they don't like by calling it "pornography" and they don't like you!!

XXI. Flicker

Draco sat by the fireplace reading a book. The lights would flicker across the pages and he didn’t pay it much mind, assuming it was the work of the flames in the fireplace. It only became a matter of concern once all the lights completely turned off. The low golden light of the fire served as the only source of illumination. 

Draco froze on the couch, his book completely forgotten. The house was massive, he knew this deeply, intimately. Yet, with all the lights completely off, the room seemed too small. The darkness shrinking around him until only his small corner could abate it off. Until the fire burned out.

The wood burning was the only sure sign time had passed.

“Why are you in the dark?” Harry asked.

“The magic gave out.”

“Lumos.” The lights came back on before Harry even finished speaking.

XXII. Harsh

It would take a full day for the muggle light repairmen to install the Elect Tree City. Harry had the brilliant idea to stay out at London for the day to “have a proper date.”

For breakfast they decided to eat at a pâtisserie. They browsed different shops, bought many clothes (Draco), and carried many bags (Harry). It was a very simplistic day and they hadn’t done much at all. Somehow, Draco still had fun.

The change was immediately noticeable as soon as they opened the door. Overwhelming brightness hit them and it was much harsher than lumos.

When confronted with this, Harry replied, “It’ll do for now.”

microfic may day 2: black

drarry. 277 words.

Harry had no idea how Draco drank his coffee like that. He thought it was abhorrent.

Even so, every morning at 6:00am, Harry Potter would peel himself out of bed and smile softly at the pile of blankets, tufts of blond locks and short puffs of breath that lay beside him. He’d take a moment to observe the gentle rise and fall of his shoulders before venturing downstairs and greeting their house with a gentle pat on the banister and familiar rap to the kitchen door.

He’d go through his motions: procure two mugs, set the kettle to boil, fiddle with the French press, measure out exactly 16 grams of coffee grounds and then he’d wait. God only knows what he’d think about until the kettle whistle would gently crescendo and Harry could carry on.

He’d traverse back up the stairs and back into their bedroom. He’d place a both mugs on the bedside drawer closest to Draco. Harry would wake him up with a caress and not a jolt, a feather press of lips, a gentle press to the curve of his shoulder.

And Draco would rise, golden like the light filtering through their curtains, and smile at Harry like he was glad he stayed. Even all these years later.

Harry would pass him his mug with a purposeful brush of their fingers and say, “Awful, awful stuff.”

Draco would only grin and reply, “It’s in my blood, don’t you think?”

And Harry would snort into his tea and hold his husband’s hand. He’d make a mental mark of exactly how many cups of black coffee he’d made but never drank.

IV. Pathetic

Draco laid in bed. He stared meaninglessly towards the ceiling, brooding the whole pathetic situation he’d found himself in. If he let himself think too hard, all his life would start to look it too. So he didn’t. 

He thought of that morning and of Potter’s lips on the ceramic mug. Of last year and Potter’s lips around a spoonful of food in the Great Hall. Of Potter’s messy hair, from the early morning and the late nights at the Quidditch pitch. Of Potter’s bare feet on the kitchen floor and the showers of the eight years’ dorms. He thought of it all and bottled it up like his potions. He stored them on a dusty shelf in his heart, to be soon forgotten.

He closed his eyes, the last thing he saw was his green blanket. That night he dreamt of Potter’s green eyes and in the morning he’ll remember his pathetic besotted heart.
