The Phantom Midwive-DCxDP
The worst possible time to give birth is during a kidnapping/hostage situation. And unfortunately that was the current situation.
"Phantom. Did you find the hostages?" Batman said over the comm.
Phantom was on recon as always. Not everyone can just go through walls after all and Martian Manhunter wasn't always available.
"Yeah, I found them but we got a situation. A woman is in active labor and we can't move her. If I start evaluating now I'll be leaving her. And I'm not doing that." Danny said.
Danny couldn't just not do his job though but the league was busy handling the very dangerous baddies so he couldn't count on reenforcement.
"Just get them out. See what you can do to help her."
"Got it, boss."Danny said before mumbling "I should have just joined the Titans. I swear."
But something had to be done as soon as possible.
He sat beside her and helped calm her down as she cried in pain and fear over the entire situation. Suddenly an idea came to Danny.
"Excuse me, ma'am? Do you you mind if I just...grab them?" Danny asked politely as he took off his jacket.
"What?!" She tried to say calmly but a contraction hit when she opened her mouth.
"It won't hurt you or the baby but I'm gonna need to just grab them. Don't worry I'm amazing at biology. And I've had a very detailed talk about reproduction and birth. Charts and all." Danny said suddenly thankful for his mom's instance that he know the in and out of female biology.
She was right. A man should know what a woman goes through.
Danny true to his word just phased through the woman's belly and gently took the baby out on the cleanest c-section ever. The little guy was as clean as...well the day he was born.
"Uh...it's a boy?" Danny said nervously as he rubbed the newborn's back until he realized he was out now and can take a breath and cry. "Congrats he's a live one."
The group was stunned in silence as Phantom wrapped the baby in his jacket and passed him to the mother.
"Alright man I'm gonna work quickly to remove the placenta before you get toxic shock. You won't feel a thing." Danny said going back in to remove the leftover material.
Afterwards, the evacuation went perfectly.
What Danny didn't account for was the birth story of little Phan"Tom" had become a news headline. Almost every woman in the world wanted Phantom to deliver their baby because an almost painless birth sounded amazing.
Currently, the league members have a list of women who have Phantom as their midwife.
DPxDC Mechanical Engineer Danny
Danny caught the attention of Batman while studying at Gotham University for his alternative energy projects. He’s hired right out of college to work on the Watchtower.
He shows absolutely no tell of his abilities till there’s a dire situation- Flash’s electric discharge messes with one of his projects in progress and the whole base would have lost air pressure if he hadn’t done a quick fix using telekinesis and ice.
Of course Batman notices.
Batman assumes the worst- he suspects Danny’s a rogue of some kind, someone who has infiltrated the Justice League with an ulterior motive. But he can’t just fire Danny now- he’s the only one who knows how the new Watchtower energy source works. Plus, he’s not letting Danny go anywhere until he’s figured out his true motives.
Cue Batman subtly testing Danny- tossing things at him to trigger inhuman fast reflexes, having him lift too-heavy machinery, setting up convenient opportunities to steal or snoop or otherwise be up to no good. Danny does take advantage but only once, to use a computer terminal with unlocked clearance. He didn’t plant any bugs that Barman could find, and he otherwise kept up his powerless civilian act perfectly.
Still, Batman’s not satisfied. He brings an infrasonic sound emitter to Danny’s lab one day, and that, of all things, is what gets Danny to break.
“I know what you’re doing,” Danny admits with a sigh, finally. “If you’re really that suspicious of me, I can leave, but I kinda like my job so I’d prefer not to. The benefits are insane compared to what’s standard.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Sure. yeah. How about you turn off the freaking noise generator and we can talk?”
“Hm.” Batman obliges, and he takes the stool next to Danny at his gesture.
“Number one, I’m not a meta. Despite all the data and conclusions you’ve probably drawn otherwise. Number two, I’m on your side. I’m here to work on the base, that’s it. I follow your rules to the letter.”
“The-“
“The classified files I looked at? Yeah that was the one exception. You already know what I looked at, I’m sure, but maybe you haven’t figured out why. It goes back to point one- I may not be a meta, but I am something that organization, the GIW, cares about. I looked at your files on them to sus out your relations. Seeing as I don’t particularly love being the victim to twelve degrees of human rights violations if I can avoid it.”
“Hm.” The Ghost Intelligence Ward was one of many government agencies that the Justice League hadn’t worked closely with. But they also hadn’t been flagged for Justice League investigation. Danny’s comments made him doubt that call.
“Any other questions?”
“If you’re not a meta, what are you?”
“I’m an engineer. A pretty decent one. And I’d really, really like it to stay that way.”
Batman considers, and ultimately lets him stay. He likes Danny (everyone likes Danny), and it would be a massive pain in the ass to replace him. He really is a good engineer.
It’s only much later that his faith in Danny is repaid in spades.
Batman finds Danny on the Watchtower command bridge. Alarms are blaring, the station has been knocked out of orbit, out the window there’s shrapnel floating everywhere as a space battle rages around them.
On the station it’s chaos. Technicians run around, shouts from the med bay, sparks from the walls.
Batman and Danny stand at the main controls, watching the battle outside, stoic, unmoving.
Wonder Woman’s harried voice crackles through on coms: “We need backup.”
“There is no more backup.” Batman replies, while looking pointedly at Danny.
“What?”
Batman doesn’t move.
“What.”
“The impact from Darkseid’s initial attack should have sent this station on a terminal trajectory toward the planet.”
“Well. We aren’t currently plummeting to our deaths, so turns out it didn’t do that.”
“You did something.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You’re lying.”
“Maybe Superman nudged us back on course in all the chaos.”
“I’ve been watching the trackers. No one else with the capability has come near the station.”
“Can’t you just be grateful we got lucky?”
Sounds of peril screech over the coms. Danny’s face scrunches.
“Luck had nothing to do with it. As it is now, we are going to lose this fight.”
“Isn’t there anyone else you can call?”
“I’m asking you. You can help, can’t you?”
The glare-off lasts a long moment more before Danny breaks.
“Fuck. Fuckity fuck.” Danny runs his hands through his hair. “Shit. You don’t know what you’re asking.”
“I’m asking you to save this and countless other worlds from a genocide. I’m also asking you to save my friends.”
Danny looks at him, hard, weary, and with a kind of deep resolve that feels far too ancient to be on the face of a supposed twenty-something.
“Fine. Fine. Okay.” He steps back and transforms. If Batman is surprised when he shakes off his human appearance like an old coat, he doesn’t show it. But what’s undeniable is the being in Danny’s place has the unmistakable presence of power.
“No one else can know.” His voice echoes in a way that’s sonically impossible, both sounding closer and further away than he should be.
He pulls a gear-shaped medallion seemingly out of thin air and puts it over his head in one motion.
“If I get in trouble for this, I’m blaming you.”
He vanishes. Outside, the shape of the battle changes instantly. The stars seem to glow brighter as the arms of the galaxy flash with the colors of the aurora. Then it’s like the void of space itself comes alive. It moves the spaceships back like they’re toys, plucking them from one side of the field to the other. It finds Darkseid at the heart of the chaos and massive arms of nothingness and darkness wrap around him. He’s screaming as it swallows him whole.
His armies scatter. The battle turns. The JL deal with the stragglers, but the air of relief is palpable.
Danny reappears next to Batman, once again donning his grease-stained coveralls. Arms folded.
“Happy?”
It took all of five minutes. Less, probably. Batman tamps down a thousand questions.
“Thank you.”
“I’m gonna need two weeks off minimum.” Danny snaps. “One to deal with the bureaucratic nightmare you’ve just caused me, and another to recover from the headache.”
Batman blanks. “Granted.”
Danny sighs. “And I’m not fixing the station until I’m back. It won’t fall out of the sky as is. Make up whatever excuse you want.”
“Done.” He considers. “I would prefer to tell them the truth. That you saved us.”
Danny glares. “I’m not supposed to save you. I made a pact not to use my power to influence the mortal realm.”
“A pact with who?”
Danny rolls his eyes. “The embodiment of Time. The concept of Justice. Among others.” He smirks at Batman’s confusion.
“And what, exactly, does that make you?”
He stands, framed by the space window, haloed by the stars. “I’ll give you three guesses.”
Batman frowns.
“Look. I like you guys. I like working on your base. I like supporting the work you do. But you can not go factoring me in to any of your plans or contingencies. This was a one time thing.
“So to answer your question again: I’m an engineer.”

DPXDP prompt
I haven't seen many fics/ prompts where Danny inherits Dlav co, unless everyone he knows is dead or it's never mentioned.
<I'll be honest it's more of a story outline that i might never use so i decided to see what others would do with it, i would have liked it to be a dead slient ship, but it should work with any of the characters>
<So let me set the stage>
Amity Park gets dragged into the infinite realm, not when Danny is 15 but when he is 17 to 19 like just before college. Vald is completely ended by Pariah Dark or Fright Knight <it doesn't matter as long as he's dead😋> pretty early into the battle, and Danny goes on to defeat them/him in single combat and becomes king of the infinite realms the usual in these fic. After the battle and the return to Earth, someone finds Vald's body(turned back human after his death), and he's buried, leaving everything to Danny.
Danny, being who he is, is reluctant to take over the sketchy company, but with a push from his friend and Jazz, he does making Tucker his head R&D and Sam his co-ceo after buying up some stock after the public learned of Vald's death and that the company was going to his underage(17) godson leading the investor to sell there shares.
Ok, this is we're ideas I saw from other prompts come in.
For one, this does not have to be a reveal gone wrong, but I don't want it to be fine either. Their relationship is stained at best, and no contact worst. <it could be worse, just not my cup of tea.>
Hey, look!! This is where the batfam comes in for one Spirit co.(formally Dlav co.) Is a big hit as a million dollar eco-friendly company working powerful renewable energy(ecto energy)and meeting Tim at a gala hosted by the Wayne's for a fundraiser, and they hit it off and become fast friends has young Ceos and there coffee addiction, they're about the same age give or take a few months. <maybe more, I'm more partial to Danny/Cass because we need more of them>
Bruce, being the suspicious person he is, is suspicious of this company that had less than ideal origins and given the fact that there have never been a successful brake in <Yes!! Danny uses ghosts with the obsession to keep things safe> the company that set up shop in Gothem. He wants to investigate but can't get his children to help because they have gotten too close to Danny and co. <yes, including Jason>
<i have decided to give Danny(Kendrick Lemar)levels of hatred for Vald. That is to say that there is not a single cell, not a single atom in his body that does not hate that man and that is the reason that Dani/Ellie is unstable and is the reason she is certainly destabilizing, her DNA is fighting against itself and she is falling apart, this should takes place a months or a year into the relationship(trio, batfam or other DC characters...)>
<That is as far as I got with this, so good luck and have fun with this🫡>
golf comic (spiritual successor to last year's camping comic)
CW: canon-typical violence/fighting with guns, drugs (the person who’s drugged is fine lmao)
Everyone watched as Red Hood crooned at the woman on his lap, bringing a pair of dice to her lips. “C’mon, Princess, why don’t you give me some good luck, hmm?”
The woman on his lap beamed and gave the dice a gentle kiss. Red Hood laughed and then threw the dice carelessly before wrapping his free hands around the woman’s waist, pulling her close and sliding his palms up her sides. The woman standing behind them, tall and stern, watched them intensely as Red Hood and his eye candy giggled and flirted with each other.
The two of them, along with their bodyguard, attracted quite a crowd as they played within one of the most successful underground casinos in Gotham.
As the two messed around shamelessly, everyone’s eyes stayed on Red Hood’s dice, which landed exactly on the numbers that he needed.
For the fourth time.
When the Red Hood noticed, he gave a loud, obnoxious cheer. “Look, Princess!” He cooed. “Your good luck helped me win again! What reward would you like? You want some new diamonds? You helped me empty these idiots’ pockets, so you can choose something extra.”
His callgirl squealed and batted her eyelashes. “Thank you so much, boss! You’re the best!”
The people around him growled.
Red Hood tilted his head. His guard standing behind him cracked her knuckles, her muscles bulging underneath her suit.
“Sorry, did you guys say something?”
No one said anything, even as the women around Red Hood laughed.
It was even more infuriating when seeing how beautiful they were.
Both women had long, straight red hair in varying shades, and everything else about them was beautiful in different ways. The woman on his lap was equal measures of both grace and sensuality, curvaceous and clad in a scanty dress that didn’t hide her long legs and smooth skin. Her eyes were a glowing turquoise and she lounged on Red Hood like he was her throne.
Those who recognized her knew her as Jazlyn Nightingale, the newest and most successful psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum. There may have been some questions as to why or how she was affiliated with Red Hood, but everyone knew that Arkham was full of crazies.
Meanwhile, the woman behind them stood tall and grand. Her body was like a masterpiece, carefully lined with muscles and curves until nothing but strength and elegance showed. Her expression was stony, like the embodiment of a marble statue as she watched over the two in front of her like a devoted soldier. Clad in a smooth suit, her every being radiated the coldness needed of a bodyguard.
No one knew who she was, but the way she eyed the crowd and people around them with her emerald eyes did not look incompetent, especially with the metal glinting at her hands and sides.
Together with Red Hood, they truly made a uniquely aggravating trio of red heads.
However, everyone knew that the Red Hood wasn’t to be tested. Although he killed hundreds of people before, everyone worth their salt in Gotham knew that Red Hood was affiliated with the Bats. At times, a red bat could be seen plastered over his armor when he wasn’t fighting with them, but no one dared to try him even when the symbol was gone.
No one wanted to test the patience of a man who once delivered eight personally decapitated human heads to the police, and they wanted to test the combined force of the Bats even less.
So they just ground their teeth and bit down on their tongues to keep silent. If they wanted to handle the Red Hood, they had to be careful and they had to be prepared.
Red Hood continued flirting and joking around with his girl, carelessly gambling away his fortunes as he rolled the dice over and over.
And yet, he still hadn’t lost a single penny since he arrived to the casino with two beautiful women in tow and arrogance radiating from every pore.
He tripled his money in one move and finally picked up his woman with one arm, lazily waving a hand.
“Tell whoever’s in charge to bring me my money. And get snappy with it.” He turned to both women and continued, “These beauties need a drink. Don’t you, ladies?”
The one in his arms giggled and leaned on him. The one guarding them both smirked and hummed, “I would like a drink right about now.”
“You heard the gorgeous red head! Drinks! Hurry up!”
He ushered them into a little booth by the wall, wrapping an arm around the woman who crawled back into his lap while the other sat next to him. Their conversation could not be heard, but there was a lot of laughter and carefree words being spoken.
The people around them made eye contact with each other. Some began to signal to the others around them.
A server came by with a tray of sparkly, colorful drinks. Next to the drinks was an enormous stack of money.
Red Hood whistled. “Ooh, is that mine?”
“Yes sir. Would you like a drink, sir? Or only for the ladies?” The server asked, placing the tray on the table near them.
The woman in his lap grabbed a glass and then whined, dropping her head onto Red Hood’s chest to look up at him with big eyes. “C’monnnn! Share a drink with me… Missy is boring, so you have to drink with me or I’ll be boredddd….”
The bodyguard, presumably Missy, clicked her tongue. “The last time we drank together, you kept making a racket.”
The woman pouted. “I won’t, I promise! Pleaseee?”
Red Hood sighed indulgently and stroked down her back. “Alright, Princess, whatever you want.”
“Yay!”
The server gave a small, secretive smile. “We’ll bring you our finest selections, sir.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. I thought this place was supposed to be fun. Thank god I’m taking over soon.”
“I’m sure you’ll do a great job renovating this boring place!” The woman tittered.
People pointedly did not look in his direction, pretending to continue gambling as the Red Hood complained loudly. He whined and acted babyish to the woman on his lap and the two began another drama act that had everyone’s eyes twitching. The bodyguard seemed to not be bothered at all by the noise and nonsense.
When Red Hood’s drinks came out, it was quickly served to him. The glass was quickly prepared and placed in front of him, sloshing slightly from the force.
Everyone held their breaths as Red Hood stared at the cup blankly before his callgirl picked up the glass and pressed it to the muzzle covering his mouth. “Here you go, boss! Just a sip!” She encouraged sweetly. Red Hood was silent before he sighed and took off the muzzle, taking gulps of the alcoholic drink as it was fed to him.
The woman cheered and everyone’s gazes grew even more predatory as Red Hood sighed. When the glass was empty, another was made, pushed towards the woman.
She tilted her head but still picked it up and fed it to Red Hood, like the stupid, obedient lamb that she was.
“Damn. What the hell was in that drink—“ Red Hood began, before there was a click of a safety pin going off and all three of them froze.
Everyone in the room took out their own weapons and guns and stood up, prepared to unload the bullets within. The doors shut, locking tightly.
The three did not even move or even flinch, even with the multiple muzzles of guns pointed at them.
Red Hood’s head lolled. “So you drugged me, huh?”
His tone was lazy, clearly being hit hard by 2 doses of the drug.
“It’s Zolpidem,” the woman on his lap said. Her voice was strangely calm and low, different from the high pitched excitement from before. She stroked Red Hood’s black hair soothingly.
The bodyguard also stood up, eying the people around them. “Y’know, I’m not surprised but I’m still a little disappointed. Are all men this stupid?”
She quickly took off her suit jacket and tossed it onto Red Hood’s lap, revealing two silver gauntlets that covered her wrists. They glinted with a harsh, almost mystical light.
Red Hood laughed loudly. “You can count on it!”
“Shut up!” One of the people around them said, pointing his gun at the three. “We’re finally getting rid of you today, Hood! You fell for our trap when we told you to come here to inspect the casino, but we didn’t think you’d be stupid enough to only bring two women.”
“There’s no way in hell we’re letting you take our casino! Fuck the agreement! We’ll kill you and take your territory too!” Another shouted.
“If you care about these two bitches, make them move away. We’ll get rid of you and keep everything for ourselves. As long as you die quietly, we won’t treat them too badly either,” another said.
Red Hood chuckled. He wasn’t even looking at the people threatening him as he turned to the two women. “Could you two handle this? Since Jazz wanted to drug me?” At the last sentence, he had a hint of petulance in his tone.
The woman on his lap, Jazz, then stood up with a sigh. “It had to be convincing, right? You have a high tolerance for drugs and substances. I knew it wouldn’t kill you and I made sure that you didn’t drink enough to be completely out of it.”
As she stood up, she smoothed down her dress and observed the room with a half lidded gaze. Her air headed expression fell away, revealing a bored look.
The men around them paused as they realized just how unnaturally tall she was. Before, she had been bent over, pressed against Red Hood’s chest like a docile lamb, but now that she stood up straight, she loomed over them like a demonic being.
She rolled her neck and then the ground beneath her began to bleed black. She crouched to pull out two guns and an almost comically large axe, which she tossed to the woman beside her.
Both of them shared a look and a smile.
“If I kill more people than you, I want you to myself first, before Hood,” the woman heaving the axe over her shoulder said.
“Excuse me?” Red Hood said, with a slight slur to his voice, but everyone ignored him, mostly staring at the two women who were casually chatting like they weren’t being threatened with guns.
The prostitute-psychiatrist-magical person giggled with a pink blush on her face and said, “You could have me anytime, you know that, right? But sure, let’s do it. If I win, we’ll only go two rounds tonight.”
“Do I get a say in this?!” Red Hood cried.
A gunshot rang through the air, aiming at the woman with the axe.
She blocked it with a tilt of her blade, the bullet pinging off of the metal easily. She raised an eyebrow, as if to say, ‘Is that all you got?’
That was when someone screamed, “Oh god! It’s Wolf! That’s Wolf!”
Wolf, the infamous assistant to the Red Hood, smiled, cocking her head to the side. Everyone stepped back, more confused than ever.
If this was Wolf, the masked woman by the Red Hood's side, then why was her face in the open?
Unless...
She knew that they wouldn't be able to tell?
Before anyone could react fast enough, both women moved first, flying off like arrows as the chaos began.
Blood spilled like flowers blooming across the ground. The sound of frantic gunshots and stomping footsteps filled the air with a cadence of panic and horror.
“Ahhh!! Get ‘em!”
“Quick! Shoot ‘em! Shoot ‘em quick!”
“Someone get Hood! Kill them all!”
“Shadow!” A different, sweet voice called from above the pandemonium. “Protect Jason!”
Screams erupted as people began to drop like flies.
Both women were a well-oiled machine with little to no weaknesses. With the axe-wielding woman stood in front, she blocked every bullet coming their way with her axe or the gauntlets on her wrist. No bullet could land while she was in front and while she defended them both, Wolf sniped enemies behind her with her guns, shooting past her shoulder to accurately blow the brains of people across the surfaces of the casino.
Red Hood, as he manspread on the booth couches and pet the fur of a shadowy dog, laughed as he watched the slaughter.
“Yeah! Get ‘em!”
It was a massacre. Both women were trained fighters, even better than the gang members that worked within and protected the casino. Even in their home territory, they were no match for a Fenton trained woman and an Amazonian warrior.
At some point, the two women switched weapons several times, but the killings still continued. When bullets ran out, they would collect the guns from the fallen men below them.
It was terrifying how efficient they were.
They defended each other’s flanks and completely decimated the opposition. When one of them did a crazy acrobatic maneuver that could’ve rivaled Nightwing, the other was there to catch them and they would fight back to back.
“Wait! Wait, please spare me!” One of the gang members cried as the woman holding the axe lifted it above his head. “Wait! I can give you so much more money than Hood can—“
His voice cut off with the sound of a gunshot as blood spurted from his head before the axe-wielder then swerved and decapitated another enemy.
“That’s 18!” Wolf said cheerfully, flipping her guns from where she shot the man from behind the other woman’s shoulder.
The one with the axe grinned broadly. “23! You’re falling behind, Jazz!”
Wolf whined in complaint, “Artemis!”, but they continued the fight with neither faltering or hesitating at all.
Wolf shot two people in midair while doing a backflip off of a table. The other woman cleaved three people in half with a single swing of her axe, flicking the blood off with a wild smirk. Both worked together to tear apart their enemies, defending one another and protecting each other’s backs.
By the end of it, both women were breathing roughly and completely covered in blood. The room around them was scattered with limbs and twitching bodies. There had been a lot of people that were angry at Red Hood, and this trap had been in the making for a long time, with a lot of people called in to handle him.
Unfortunately for them, it still hadn’t been enough.
Jazz sighed and waved her hand, scattering droplets of red.
“Artemis,” she complained softly, “you got blood all over me.”
“But you look so good in red,” Artemis said with a smirk. She wiped at her mouth with the back of her hand. “It’s a pity that all you wear is blue and black.”
Jazz gave her a squinted look, though she was clearly resisting a smile. “You like me in red only because it’s yours and Jason’s colors.”
Artemis shrugged. She approached Jazz and pulled her in, kissing her bloody lips. “I win. I get to have you first tonight, and more than two rounds, yes?”
Jazz sighed loudly, not even questioning the outcome of the bet as she muttered, “Amazonian stamina is truly the bane of my existence…” Still, she was smiling as she returned the kiss with another peck.
“I’m not complaining!” Jason interjected loudly. He looked smug as he stretched within the booth, clean and safe under Shadow’s protection. When he stood up, he staggered a little as he approached them before he smirked. “Good work, you two. Thank you for protecting me. You were amazing out there!”
His tone was proud, and there was adoration in his eyes. He gave both of them a kiss, uncaring of the blood and wrapping an arm around them both.
“Of course,” Jazz said with a smile.
“Damn right,” Artemis said with a huff.
Jason rolled his eyes lightly and then he turned to Jazz and gestured vaguely to Shadow, who looped between their legs. “You should feed them before we go looting around.”
Jazz beamed and looked at Jason lovingly. “Thank you for reminding me, dearest.” She looked down and addressed the large, shadowy dog. “Shadow, you’re free to feed on the blood. Can you clean off the blood on me and Artemis too?”
Shadow shot off like a whirlwind, eagerly drinking the blood that was now readily available. Jazz and Artemis were wiped clean of blood, although it still stained their clothes. Jason hummed, eying them up and down.
“Looking good, ladies,” he smirked.
“Don’t start this again,” Artemis sighed. “I’ve had enough of that strange role-play.”
“You’re telling me,” Jazz said. “I liked it, but it gets tiring at some point to pretend to be ditzy for so long.”
Jason hummed, “You were really good at it though, Princess. It was so realistic that I started worrying that someone was stealing the brain cells right out of your head.”
Jazz waved her guns lightly in his direction. “Better watch your words, mister. These are still locked and loaded.”
Jason put his hands up in surrender with a smile before he gestured to the side and said, “Shall we go and look through what these idiots have in their drawers?”
Artemis nodded primly. “Let’s. We should hurry so we can go home and shower.”
“Can we shower together?” Jazz asked idly. “I’m feeling tired and I don’t want to shower alone.”
Artemis laughed. “Was there any other option? I’m not missing a chance to be naked and wet with you two.”
Jazz swatted her arm and Artemis just grinned, dropping her axe onto the ground, where Shadow collected it.
Jason didn’t notice, whooping as he leaned on Jazz with a lazy grin. “Hell yeah! I get to watch two beautiful, badass women take down my enemies and then I get to take a shower with them? Today’s been even better than my birthday.”
He swayed again, and Artemis caught him with a laugh, supporting him with her free arm. Both women flanked his sides as Jason sighed, blinking slowly, still partially affected by the drugs.
They started stepping over the bodies, all of which were slowly sinking into the shadows to be consumed by the Ancient contracted under Jazz’s control.
“Oh dear,” Jazz said, snickering. She poked Jason’s cheek. “We better hurry home before he passes out.”
“Well. Too bad, it seems he won’t join in on the fun we’ll have later,” Artemis said with a teasing look towards Jazz. Jazz blushed and hurriedly ushered them off in a flustered manner as they all walked through the doors to the inner rooms of the casino.
Jason immediately straightened up, his face set in a perfect poker expression. It was almost like he wasn’t just drugged, if it wasn’t for the humor in his eyes.
“Actually, I’m perfectly fine. Artemis, Jazz, let’s finish this mission, get the information we need, and then go,” he said in a completely serious tone. “We should work quickly so we can leave before Batman gets the report about gunshots and comes to disturb us.”
Jazz and Artemis shared a look of pure exasperation and amusement before they burst into laughter. Artemis kicked down the doors to the other parts of the casino, still laughing as she and Jazz leaned on Jason in their fits of giggles.
Jason rolled his eyes with a fond smile.
They were very lucky that he loved them so much.
