"I love you, Mash."

Mash stared down at you without blinking, only making your already overwhelming anxiety practically skyrocket. You could feel how clammy your hands were as you clutched at the hem of your shirt, every molecule in your body screaming at you to run away and hide your face forever yet at the same time you were frozen in place.

"I shouldn't have said anything," you thought to yourself, biting your lower lip as regret swirled within you. Why did you even think doing this was a good idea?

While childhood friends falling in love and getting together isn't anything new in both real life and within the pages of your romance novels, it didn't guarantee that your own childhood friend would happily reciprocate your feelings and live happily ever after with you.

Because why would he?

Even if he didn't have an ounce of magic flowing through his veins, Mash was handsome, honest, and even if it might not seem like it at first, he had a heart of gold that cared for and protected his loved ones fiercely.

Meanwhile, you were just...you.

"Maybe I should tell him that I was just joking--"

"I love you too."

You don't get the chance to run away when Mash's toned arms wrap around your waist to pull you into a tight embrace. You were so close that could smell the faint scent of soap on his skin, fresh from a shower after his daily workout.

"I was planning on telling you before we started school, but...you beat me to the punch."

His statement drained out all the anxiety and fear that'd been brewing inside, leaving only warmth as the meaning of his words registered in your mind.

"Mash...you big dummy!" You laughed, an honest and unrestrained laugh as you realized that all your fears were for nothing.

Despite wearing his usual deadpan expression, you could pick out a certain softness in his gaze as he stared deeply into your own eyes. It feels like you're falling in love with him all over again when he looks at you like this. Your cheeks lit up at the attention.

"I'm gonna kiss you if you keep acting so cute, creampuff," stated Mash, voice lowering into what you could only describe as a husky purr.

His lips are so close now that if you so much as tilt your head, your lips would inevitably meet. Your heart throbbed at the mere thought.

"And what if I want you to kiss me...?"

Mash doesn't waste another second.

It becomes only just the first of many more kisses to come.

So imagine this: Mc, the brothers, and the side characters (with or without Luke) are at Diavolo's castle playing truth or dare (Solomon and Asmo's idea) well after some drinks a a great mood Mc gets a dare and their smile fades, their dare is to tell everyone a secret: "They believe they are not worthy of love or deserve love, that they make people worse by being with them" (Not personal at all😅)

You realise the chaos you will raise if you say something like that?! Feeling unworthy of love?! IN THIS HOUSEHOLD?

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Let me tell you exactly what will happen.

There is a long silence after you speak. You look and around you to see everyone looking wide- eyed and horrified.

Asmo is on the verge of tears as he's flung himself onto you.

"MC, is this because I said I'll never love you more than myself?! I TAKE IT BACK! I'LL GIVE YOU MY ALL! PLEASE DON'T SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT AGAIN!"

Mammon is next ripping Asmo off you and kneeling in front of you.

"Oi... All those times I called you stupid human and said I didn't like ya...I WAS ONLY JOKING OKAY?! I DIDN'T MEAN ANY OF THAT! I MEAN COME ON EVERYONE KNOWS I LOVE YA LIKE CRAZY!"

Levi is in panic mode. You are the one who convinced him to be more confident with himself and yet you're saying things like this!?

"ABSOLUTELY NOT! MC you're my best friend I won't let you talk about yourself like that!" He shakes you by the shoulders desperately.

Beel looks all sad and desolate. Belphie looks guilty as all hell. They both think they caused this somehow.

Prepare to get sandwiched between the twins as they lay their sorry heads on you. "MC, we're so sorry... you've helped us through so much, you're so kind, please don't feel this way. We're so sorry..."

Satan stares at you solemnly. He's Sherlocking the situation trying to find out what caused you to feel like this. Realizes you need to be rid of the misunderstanding first.

Takes you by the hand and kisses it, "You've done nothing but good ever since you've come here. You've tamed all the Avatars of Sin to be kinder. Noone deserves love more than you."

Solomon sneaks up beside you. He bumps his shoulder onto you to get your attention.

"You realise you're the only one who didn't think of me as shady and hold that against me? You're the only one I can trust here. What makes you think you're unworthy of love?"

Simeon is at your other side now. Putting a gentle hand on your back. He looks at you tenderly.

"I've seen grave sinners who rot now in hell say they deserve love. And you, who has earned love from all three realms, think you don't deserve it? Don't you see how ridiculous that it?"

Lucifer stands up suddenly, looking agitated. All his brothers are useless. And so are the rest. Only he can convince you. He tries to grab you.

"MC, come I'm taking you home. You're not thinking right. Clearly you need some time away from all this noise."

Diavolo intrudes. Replacing Lucifer's hand on you with his own. You've never seen him look so serious.

"You can leave now, Lucifer. In fact all of you can. MC is my guest and it's my responsibility to make sure they feel okay while they are here. Barbatos take MC up to my quarters. I shall go there shortly."

Barbatos smiles at you as you take his arm and walk upstairs. Outside Diavolo's room, he pauses and cups your face with his gloved hand.

"I've seen many pasts, presents and futures of all creation. And yet I've never heard a statement as untrue as that. If you don't deserve love, then no creature does."

Childe

There is nothing more important to Childe than family. He’s been obsessed with the idea of raising children with you for years at this point — it’s a fantasy that’s occupied his every waking thought. Childe is going to be very involved in your kid’s life. He’ll understand (to an extent) if you’re apprehensive of having him, a self-admitted “bad guy” with a penchant for bloodlust around your little one, but he’s not going anywhere. He wants to teach your kid everything he knows, including how to defend themselves when they’re old enough. However, he wouldn’t allow them anywhere near Delusions or any form of power that’d hurt them in the long run. He’s an easygoing father for the most part, offering encouragement and preferring to use positive reinforcement when he can. Has a difficult time saying no whenever your kid asks him for something. 

Diluc

Diluc still has a fair amount of unresolved issues with his father, and as a result, is wary of repeating the generational curses himself. He ends up being more distant in the earlier years of your child’s development. It doesn’t help that you more or less shoo him off when possible. He actually feels guilty that he wasn’t able to win you over by the time your child was born and worries for the day his own flesh and blood takes your side over his. You expected him to be overprotective of your child as he is with you, but it came as a surprise when Diluc was fine with letting the kid explore and learn from experience. He doesn’t want your child to grow up resenting him. The many enemies Diluc has made throughout his life remain in the forefront of his mind, yet that means he must prepare your child even more. He’ll take them to the side one day and make them promise to help him keep you safe. 

Kaeya

Kaeya tries to be more of a cool uncle than a dad. Letting your kid stay up past their bedtime, giving them sweets even if they didn’t eat all their vegetables, stuff like that. This is a detriment to your relationship even more since parenting is supposed to be a partnership — the two of you need to be on the same page and respect the rules established by each other. Kaeya always promises to do this whenever you bring this up, but never follows through. He’d rather you handle the “icky” parts of being a parent like dishing out consequences and making tough love decisions. The thought of his own child coming to dislike him for whatever reason hurts more than he cares to admit. That’s why he plays it so safe. 

Zhongli

You swore to Zhongli that you’d never need his help, that you could do this on your own, but once the mini Archons started running around and wreaking havoc… you didn’t have a choice but to rely on him some. Zhongli was just going to let you do your thing and intervene when he thought it was necessary, so it came as a pleasant surprise when you (begrudgingly) allowed him to take the father role to your children. His unmatched patience is perfect for dealing with them. He never raises his voice with them or loses his temper, and whenever there’s a dispute, he’ll come to a conclusion that keeps all parties happy. When he takes you and your child around Liyue for little informational field trips, he honestly couldn’t be any more content. Sure, you might have a strained relationship with him, but he figures you’ll start coming around. All he needs to do is continue waiting. 

Albedo

Albedo’s grateful for the time watching over Klee since he can utilize a lot of the same parental methods on his own child. He’s good with kids, knowing when to put his foot down and when to let them learn the natural consequences of life on their own. The facet of him that you weren’t expecting to see was his willingness to fulfill your child’s imaginative requests. If his kid were to ask for him to make a unicorn, he’ll be in the lab testing various alchemical procedures until he can do just that. Albedo taking kindly to fatherhood has ulterior motives as well — he wants to bring out your instincts to take care of your young. You should, in theory, start being forced to rely upon him more and perhaps even form a stronger bond in the process. If not for your sake, then surely, for the sake of your child. He’ll set himself up to be the sole provider so your dependence on him increases even more. 

Xiao

Xiao has extremely mixed feelings about the entire ordeal. The main problem he contends with is the nature of his karmic debt, he doesn’t know much about children, but he gets the feeling he shouldn’t risk harming your child by being in the vicinity while the curses of deceased gods weigh him down. If he isn’t around your kid though, then by extension, he can’t be around you. And he’s not having that. He’s probably going to try and convince you to hand your kid over to the Cloud Retainer or something like that. Xiao speaks to his kid like they’re a mini adult, using big words and asking them to do things beyond the capability of their age. He’ll look at your one-year-old and tell them to start cleaning up the mess they made with the expectation they’ll actually do it. Xiao mostly views your child as an extremely fragile creature that needs to be handled with the utmost care, whether they’re a toddler or teenager. 

Scaramouche

Every time he looks at your kid, he’s still in disbelief about the development, no matter how many years it’s been since they’ve come around. He struggles with being a father more than he’d care to admit. How is he supposed to present him? The polite, cordial façade that he uses with strangers, or his true abrasive self? Scaramouche ends up falling somewhere in the middle. He has a soft spot for kids, especially your child, but he’s still a strict parent. In theory. If they make puppy eyes and ask him for something, he’ll have a rough time saying no. Scaramouche is also like Kaeya where he allows you to handle the more daunting tasks of parenthood, although giving fitting punishments for misbehavior isn’t difficult for him. It’s more… dealing with the complex, emotional stuff that comes as your child ages. They can go to you for that. His advice when it comes to dealing with people is never helpful, since he just gets rid of humans he finds the mildest bit irritating. You don’t want your child offing all their friends over a harmless dispute, so you get to figure the solution for that one out on your own. 

Kazuha 

Kazuha is an absolute doting father. He somewhat views your children as a shot at redeeming himself in your eyes — if he can prove himself to be a capable dad, perhaps you’ll come to accept him as your husband. It almost hurts to see how much your kids take after their father. They speak highly of him at every instance, always asking when he’ll be back from his journey since he brings back neat trinkets. Kazuha is always waiting for the moment when you’ll come around and return his feelings. He’d rather not have to use your precious children as a guilt-tripping mechanism, yet that’s what ends up happening. They’ll start asking why you don’t like dad when dad so clearly loves you. Did he do something wrong? If he says sorry, will you forgive him, and everything will be okay? Kazuha doesn’t do anything obvious to encourage this behavior of your kid’s so you can’t call him out on it, but you always get the sense that things are going his way whenever this happens. 

wouldn't it be funny if yuu had a ghost too but they can't see it? like mickey mouse or something hell, maybe even chernabog just silently looking over the great seven and at the dorm leaders. the prefects see it too but like ignore the ghost rule is in on it. but if the ghost was say, mickey you just see an ominous looking mouse beside yuu. I don't know which is worse.

Listen, Yuu is stressed and ignoring the intimidating ghosts seemed like a good idea at first

If Mickey is the ghost:

Mouse wakes up in the infirmary with the child he's been talking to some days before what is happening???

Now now, I am biases so house of mouse totaly happened at some point or whatever, and of course Mickey knows the seven and this awakes his protective mode to ELEVEN

The seven totaly try to fight him but for some reason the bastard has plot immunity unlike everyone else

Yuu finaly is able to see, hear and interact with the seven that were stalking them for MONTHS NOW AND EVERYTHING MAKES SO MUCH SENSE

Bet how much that the seven boys are going to wrestle with their seven to keep them from spilling the tea

Yuu going for the boys for advice and Mickey silently hovers over them with the "hurt this little one heart and I will give you a painful death bc this ain't a family show and even them we have killed your kind before, don't think I wouldn't do it again" stare

Yuu calm the mouse down he's scaring the children

And then Mickey discovers RSA and the mouse is hell bent on convincing Yuu to transfer much to the boys despair

The only one who has a romantic experience in his belt and he hates the dorm leaders except Kalim, Kalim has his blessing if the boy starts showing romantic interest in Yuu

Helps Yuu in so many things regarding magic and specialy hears them when they have a stressed day

Now, Yuu is so tired of this bullshit that I bet they would do exactly what you said and just ignores all the ghosts for some good time, except that the great seven notices the rules before the boys so they know Yuu can see them but let it pass... for now

Not all is lost for the boys, as the time pass Mickey sees they are just... kinda rude but not evil... so he warms up slowly to them... doesn't change the fact that their repressed soul is a villain but hey, he isn't going to judge so much anyway

Anyway, it's the adventure of a mouse that's helping this kid to get back to their world! And have 8h of sleep, a good meal and some spare time alone bc interacting with so many people can drain you quite quickly

If Chernabog is the ghost:

My personal biases, guy's a blank slate bc the only thing we can go off is, evil, likes to play with souls, sleeps like a rock and hates daylight

For personal reasons I say he can shapeshift his size and likes to be a big boy most times

Ah finaly, an avatar, wait this is a child-... sees that they have each of the seven at their hand: oh~

Maleficent totaly points this is her ex and that is proof that Yuu is totaly in love with her grandchild boy you can pray that scene from house of mouse from my cold dead hands, yes Hades we know you two slept together to, stop pretending it never happend or Idia will find a photo of that time

Most of the time is silent and in tiny tiny mode hiding in Yuu somewhere, bc he'll get bored if alone and yes, he's a gremlin that will cause chaos for fun, but this time, it isn't Yuu's business and they are grateful for it... specialy when the demon goes for revenge if somebody messes with his vessel

The seven are shocked that he's the soul of the tiny magicless student and finaly notices that... it kind makes sense? That child did beat their asses and together with the Cat their overblot looked like a mix of all their most powerful characteristics they have... don't mind me just passing by to offer you the possibility that Yuu's overblot can only be defeated if the boys talk with them

Chernabog hides his presence from Yuu and all others in the beggining bc he wants to have the upper hand when he shows up

The seven were full of anxiety after Yuu's overblot, bc THEY RECOGNIZE THAT SILHOUETTE ANYWERE

Grimm follows the tips this monster gives to him and now his pranks are getting frightening good

I can see him starting to get soft for this child and their cat as time goes on... he doesn't even notices that he becomes somewhat of an guardian angel from them

Totaly silent with anyone else except his vessel, then he's a chatter box listen he has a reputation but he dreams of the day he can give a villain speech to somebody

The boys are in awe that this fucking legend is Yuu's soul, and seven help them bc they are trembling every time Chernabog is with Yuu which is more and more usual

He has the privilege of having two vessels, Yuu and Grimm, which means, he can go at many places and probably shows up at anytime he deems convenient, so like: he was with Grimm in his shenanigans and suddenly he decides to check with Yuu who's used to this at that point and scares the shit out of the poor "overblot" boy that is present at the time

Yuu is the tactician and Grimm his powers, he's quite smug that his soul had to be shared or else one person would have too much power

He beans at Yuu's dense brain that didn't notice the others attempts of courting and even so the seven boys don't give up, it almost cracks his stoic face once

The boys: so... how can you survive living with his threatening aura?

Yuu remembering that Chernabog is a ghost and even so was afraid of the vacuum cleaner: ... what threatening aura?

Chernabog: this kid has some sass, I like them... wait what are you doing up this late you need to sleep stupid child!

Let's say yuu shows some interest in someone, chernabog is totaly lost in what to say and ends up giving some great advice, if you cut the part where he tries to suggest that they kill their lover's enemies and gives them their head as a courting gift, followed by "but a weapon of their choise can do I guess" which Yuu translated to: "gift them something they might like"

He hates RSA so much bc they shine like the sun and he hates it... kalim you are in thin ice with him

Both approve of the chaos that is the first years, like they are teens, let them have fun

However, may I present you: Yuu overblots two times, the first: Chernabog wakes up, the second: is in RSA and it's Mickey yes I know they might die but hey shhhhhh

Now imagine the mouse and demon bickering about who is the true reflection of Yuu's soul:

C: well, I wake up first!

M: and I wake up only to Yuu!

The seven sit and watch the showdown*

Meanwhile the boys are extremely concerned about Yuu's mental stated after two overblots...*

MC: *trying to make their way by feeling up the walls with their hands* *being careful for any bumps or cracks on the floor*

Cerberus: *watches them in confusion*

MC: *sigh* If there's only a way to know that I'm going the right way.

Cerberus: Ruff.

MC: ...

Cerberus: Ruff?

MC: Oh. Aren't you the dog earlier? Cerberus isn't? *slowly turns to where they heard him*
